Since boats move all the time back and forth, people on ships for a long time always walk with that movement. When they go back to land, they walk like they are drunk. It's called "sea legs", when you aren't used to the land being stable. It's a great detail and shows how the actor really got into the role.
Yes! And if you take enough attention, you can notice that when Jack is on a ship, he walks normally 😂 ... He walks funny like he's drunk only when he's on land.

I like how they noticed how great all the side characters were, they will continue to make cameo's throughout the series of films, they really gave alot of attention to all the characters when writing the script.
I am sad Ruby is missing out on this i think she would have loved these movies.

personnally I'm quite fond of Christopher Nolan, I saw everything that he did even his firts one "Following", but I thought Tenet was a bit of a failure. Good ideas, but too much, not enough structure. Nolan is better when his brother write with him which he didn't on Tenet. @@MjSnake

It bothers me that the more recent pirates of the Caribbean movies seemed to portray captain Jack as a bit of an idiot.
Rather than a misunderstood genius 🙂
Just money graps. It's not the same director, also the 1/2 main-writers didn't write for the fifth one. Gore Vebrinski as a director who made the trilogy and his style is so essential to the feeling of it that it is very hard to replicate.
Also the first 3 just works better because Jack Sparrow kinda isn't the main-lead, hard to call a side-character but it just works way better when he is Kinda outsider to the main-plot. Then when you make sequels that is Just mostly Jack, it is for one harder to write him as being in every scene a genius guy so it quickly resorts to luck. Like the character isn't supposed to drive the plot per se but come in and out of it changing the circumstances of it. Works way better than a whole movie Jack fumbling around with plot-armor.
Genius? He is a live action cartoon character. Like bugs bunny.
Adding depth to the jack character by making it obvious to the audience that he is a loser is only a mistake because it clashes with the comedy. Drama and comedy doesn't work, it always makes the characters unlikeable. Jack isn't even the main character in the stories, he is a comic supporting character. The pirate movies is like watching Disney's mulan and but even more of a spotlight is on the talking lizard.
Jack's not a genius, but he does have the luck of the gods

Yeah, us "old folks" knew of Johnny Depp well before POTC. Hell, I remember his very first film role as a US Army radio operator in Oliver Stone's Vietnam War film Platoon. A great watch although Johnny had a small role.

Actually, OMG is "Hey Bhagwan"... "Are Baap Re" is something else, it's like "oh my dad" coz "baap" means dad but they can't put it in there, so they used friendly subtitles. But it gives the same vibes as OMG, so it's fair enough to use.

Also comedy from start to finish that never feels out of place or forced

Yay! So happy they're watching this series! This movie came out when I was a little girl, and it completely captivated me. I wanted to be a pirate just like Jack Sparrow. I liked to pretend I was a pirate and my bed was my ship. Me and one of my cousins would play dress up with lots of eyeliner and beaded jewelry and sing pirate songs every summer.
This brings back so many magical memories
Think you need to explain to them what a legend Johnny Depp is as they liked him so much And how much money each movie made

@@jalin8039 But they got all the time in the world to waste scouring the globe to find the gold that calls to them, another few minutes going overboard and climbing back up the anchor chain is of minimal importance.
It is just one plot hole in a very solid movie.
Like when Jack returns from the island after being marooned by Barbosa, Barbosa spts him and says "not possible" which Jack, who had just probed and proven the possibility, corrects with "not probable" when he really meant "not likely".
The excitement about Elisabeth dropping the coin to the deeps at the start of the film is a misfiring of Chekhov's Gun.
Chekhov's Gun is a writer's rule that states, basically:
If you introduce a plot device, use it.
If you use a plot device, introduce it.
In *Suicide Squad* the character Captain Boomerang has a stuffed unicorn that he keeps in his inside jacket pocket.
He takes it out and looks at it from time-to-time.
Late in the film Boomerang is stabbed in the chest but he survives because the knife actually stabbed into a huge wad of money that Captain Boomerang had never before had in his inside pocket, and the unicorn no longer seems to exist.
There is five more seconds of story after the credits. It's a clue to the next movie. Disney does this with a lot of it's movies.
Oh I love these movies! I can't wait to see how they react to Davy Jones in the next two, even 15+ years later the special effects on him look phenomenal. They're going to have a great time getting through these. Also you should tell them that the actor who plays Will Turner is the same who played Legolas in Lord of the Rings! Orlando Bloom was in so many movies that came out back then
Ships on the sea carry cargo - not just personal luggage of travelers, but merchandise that is being exported / imported internationally. Even today, but especially before there were airplanes, this is how valuable goods would be transported. This is what pirates would steal.

Jack sparrow walks opposite of normal people. He is uneasy on land and comfortable when on the water.
The next movie should be school of rock. It's a great film babu will love about teaching kids music!

The 4th movie isn't very good. But to them it is interesting because it shows them 18th century London and the Spaniards, revealing how multiple colonial powers were in conflict.

Otherwise known as the court case with Amber Heard. I lije Johnny Depp. Hes a nice guy and he shops at the same antiques & second hand goods centre that i shop at. It would be nice to bump in to him there one day!

The first combat sequence will forever live in my heart. These movies got me into history, i absolutely loved these as a kid. After i saw the indiana jones movies i started to read history alot, and i was like 8 years old :D
