"I don't understand how the director came up with such a story" " those things could not happen in my country"...well I hope nobody explains to them that in real life similar facts actually happened and for sure even in their country too...
These are simple people, with their… I would assume, simple lives.
Sadly psychos prey on communities living in simple conditions, just look at the guy who killed 200+ boys in columbia.
Yeah, Buffalo Bill is based on notorious serial killers in the US including Ed Gein and Ted Bundy
Kinda gotta envy the Innocence
That's why I'm not a fan of showing Babu worse horror than this. Hannibal is extreme but there's still humanity in the story. But there are far more bleak and sadistic movies that just don't make sense to a rural Indian.
It is about time you guys change the person who does subtitles for you guys. 33:24 Babu never said "He is not a man, he is gay". Stop putting words in their mouth that they never said. All babu said was "Oh my brother, why are you saying that". This is pathetic from you guys.
I remember a similar subtitle mistake was done with Gopu long back, & people started calling him a cat abuser in comments, when he had never done that. You have to be responsible with this stuff.
Thanks for flagging stuff like that. I don't expect perfection from this channel, they've always been a bit amateur and of course trying to cross a language and cultural divide in the process, but that's really far off...
Dang they are terrible for letting this happen
i have commented multiple times on this channel about incorrect subtitles, but no one from the channel seems to respond or take care of this problem.
Oh wow that's a shame!
Ok...I had stopped watching a couple other guys bc once the well scene, subtitles said Bill should be ARRESTED for dancing around and I guess coming across as gay, or trans, so maybe the subtitles were wrong. You can agree or not, but in the USA, we are way beyond being gay or trans is CRIMINAL, and the government arrests and punishes you for it for who you are.
They misunderstood the scene when Clarise follows Bill into his basement without calling for backup. She realizes she found Bill and that he rushed into the basement where the Senator's daughter is. If she wastes any time going to the car to call for backup he will have likely already killed the girl. She rushes into danger because of her training and even though she is scared for her life she still does because she is putting the victim's life over her own.
It doesn't make her stupid, just brave. It's a gamble because if Bill kills her then the girls dies too but she's certain that if she leaves then the girl will certainly be killed.
There's lots of subtleties with Silence of the Lambs as it's mean to deconstruct the horror genre up till then. Like the opening scene you see Clarise running through a forest. That's similar to how other horror opens (Friday the 13th) but instead of a victim being chased by a psychopath it's her training as an FBI agent to catch the psychopaths. That's subversions that even Westerns don't pick up on, and aren't meant to. It's used as a subconcious shift to tell the brain that this movie is going to be different.
Babu dancing to "Goodbye Horses" is something I never expected to see!
This movie has so many complex things going on, I didn't think they would be able to comprehend, but they did catch on to several concepts. The thing that warms my heart is the discussion afterwards about how this kind of thing must not be based on reality. The world is a messed up place, and movies like this terrify me the most because things like this are sadly real. Freddy and Jason and supernatural horror is pure fantasy, but Jeffrey Dahmer was real.
I thought the same thing.
"And I say, "Oh no sir I must say you're wrong
I must disagree, oh no sir, I must say you're wrong♫ ♬"
Remarkable how Babu noticed that pen was missing! Sharp mind! There's another 2 good sequels to this movie but none are as terrific as the original though! Glad yous two liked this movie! 🦋
The movie really shows well how women are treated in the field at that time. And how even colleagues are seen as threats or may not also respect you.
Yeah. The director wanted to go out of his way to create that sense of discomfort, and only a couple of notable exceptions (the guard as the Sanitarium being one), every single man is a creep towards her. Because, sadly, that's kinda how it is sometimes for women in professions that are usually branded as "masculine".
Setting aside the profession, those were very common types of interactions to have as a woman around men when you were at work for the time period. Even just working someplace and the customers that come around were creepers.
@@kvol1668So do not approach nor talk to women, lest you be labeled a creep. Noted.
Babu vibing and dancing with a psycho criminal 🤣
🤣🤣
My favorite part ❤. It was all innocent though which made it even better.
how is this not a meme yet🤣🤣
I'm a little bummed that they didn't understand the very end. When Hannibal said he was "having an old friend for dinner" and he started following that boss from the mental hospital. He chased him all the way to the Bahamas! 😂😂😂
In their defence, that particular statement is a phrasal usage common to Western mannerisms. Babu and Raeen are watching the Hindi dubbed version, where the pun was almost certainly lost in translation.
That script is pure gold though, aint it?? Haha. Having a friend for dinner. He conveniently left out the "literally" at the end.
@sagnikadhikary2917 I'm not downing them for not understanding. I'm just disappointed that they missed out on the point of the ending. The funniness of it. Hannibal became like an anti-hero at the end. Even though he was a monster cannibal, he was funny and everybody was rooting for him to eat that guy. It's just a bummer that Babu and Raeen missed out on that humor.
If such a video exists you should show them one on Indian serial killers. Would be educational for us too. I just googled it and looks like there are some interesting stories. I'm just reading about thug Behram.
I would like to see them watch The Thing 1982 for a Halloween special.
I actually brought up in an old comment that if they want them to be in the Halloween spirit this is a list of horror movies they can watch, and I remember putting Creepshow and Creepshow 2 on the list.
Raeen sees blue eyes : "are they real or fake?"^^
I'd be fascinated to see what these guys make of District 9.
Omg, the look "how do you know what he threw on her face?" 😂
He missed that one. Thats ok, i missed it when i was younger
Yeah, they seemed to think it was snot. They're too pure for this movie.
@seraphinaaizen6278 it's also dark lighting in scene, maybe it was hard for them to see clearly? I'm sure if they see it a few times they'll see it.
His dancing during the dancing and then being asked "what were you looking at" was also hilarious. I'm surprised they left that in.
Both clearly understood. Listen to their dialogue, Raeen was just embarrassed and tried to make it more innocent for Babu, yet Babu told him he does get it.
Unfortunately, the rest of the series isn't very good. But Silence of the Lambs, as a standalone movie, is a fantastic movie.
Definitely need to show them Planes, Trains, and Automobiles for the upcoming thanksgiving season.
I agree, great film 🙂
Raeen and Babu Bhai are always so good together as both complement each other's unique and intelligent perspectives.
Oh, Raeen...oh, my sweet summer child...yes, crime happens everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE. Even within remote tribes in Papua New Guinea, tribal members break the laws of the tribe. Police presence does have some correlation with crime statistics, but criminals do not think like we do. They take massive risks because their compulsions to do evil is very strong. And serial killers have been doing this and even more unthinkable things since the beginning of time. I'm almost glad that neither of them know about serial killers and what they do.
I was not expecting Babu to vibe to Goodbye Horses, but I should've. He knows a good song when he hears one.
They were kind of aggressive with each other on this one 😂
Hahah the Babu - Raeen dynamic do be like that sometimes! I think it's pretty good natured overall but they definitely rib each other xD
That’s what makes this combo so good 😂
Always interesting to see Raeen comment on another tailor.
If im not mistaken india has had almost 100 serial killers by now.. They're in the top 10 of serial killers. And some of the worst in the world are from india. There's that guy that specialised in the tourist that came to India in the 70's Charles Sobhrai. Netflix had a series on him. But there's been several documentaries on Netflix about the indian serial killers i think.
I just looked that Charles Sobhraj up. Wow he’s a free man today. With 12 confirmed victims and possibly up to 30. Wild.
The world's youngest serial killer is from India. He was only 8 at the time.
Would love to see those two react to "The Shining", with how much concern they're always showing for the well-being of children, i'd be curious how they react to what happens to Danny
There's also the movies "Hannibal" the sequel to this.
And "Red Dragon" which is a prequel to this.
It'd be interesting what they'd think about more of the story
Oh right yeah it's worth pointing out that Red Dragon takes place before Silence of the Lambs, but should be watched after Hannibal.
Please show something funny and uplifting for a change, Mrs Doubtfire would be a good choice
Love them. If they watch Seven they'd be shook! 🤣
I love watching their reactions to American movies, food, music videos, and worse. Here's what I've learned so far:
1. They love campy, kitschy, loud musical spectacles (which is probably why they liked Elvis.)
2. Their mythology and legends are full of human warriors battling armies of demons (which is why the understood everything in LOTR.)
3. They don't like serious dramas, because they don't have patience for anyone making obvious mistakes.
All mythologies over the entire world are filled with human warriors battling armies of demons...
@@issyd2366Not all.
Not all. @@issyd2366
When are you going to show them "The Usual Suspects"? great movie
Please give these gentlemen a break sometimes with some happy movies and comedies. I’d love for them to see Legally Blonde, the Lethal Weapon movies, Emma, Pride and Prejudice, The Princess Diaries. Some wholesome, feel good happy movies in between the shocking stuff!
Yes! I'd love to show them Pride and Prejudice!
I want them to watch Ace Ventura! Also The Bourne Identity would be interesting
I'm happy to see you guys get to something a little less recent; doesn't need to be a super-old classic but most Hollywood movies from the last 10-15 years aren't classics worth sharing, they're popcorn-fueled distractions meant to make money on release, not stand the test of time.
These 2 guys reactions and the way they laughed at the skin suit/tucked scene was so hilarious to me. I almost spit out my lemonade at work. This is my favorite reaction channel
I don't think they're watching with the best lighting contrast. Seems like they miss details in dark scenes far more than more brightly lit ones. Just an observation.
It's so sweet when they applaud Clarise
Cast away
FBI stands for "federal bureau of investigation" and its the american federal detectives. American movies tend to not explain what the FBI is even if they're the main focus of the movie because its such a well known organization.
also buffalo bill is mainly based off a man named Ed Gein who tried to make a "woman suit" after his mom died so he could talk to himself in the mirror or something
I hope no one tells Babu that many aspects of Silence of the Lambs were inspired by real kidnappers and killers. In particular, the pit in the basement. Horrible horrible horrible but true and not all the women who were taken survived. Rip to them and and well wishes to the survivors who suffered unspeakable trauma.
Babu knows a good song when he hears it hahahaha
These guys would drive me crazy if they kept talking through the movie like that. Lol...
8:14 That wasn't poop he threw at her. Something else. Something white...
Show them the Godfather films please 1,2,3
Please Harry Potter 6,7+7(II) love the HP reactions ❤
"This is how it happens in big cities"
Raeen seems to have had his fair share of experience with the modern ways 😎
It's funny he's saying that about a small Appalachian town that appears to have, like, eleven buildings total
Clarise was told that her boss has located the killer in another state. She is sure, by following the hints Dr.Lector has given her, that the girl this killer has dumped in the river knew her killer. She is following this dead girls activities at her home, interviewing those who would have known her...the killer is in the home of the neighbor. She finds him by accident. Meanwhile Dr. Lector is free and he has followed Dr. Chilton, whom he despises, on his vacation. -A sequel will follow. This villain is a composite of actual killers taken from FBI files. There are people without normal emotions and there is great evil in the world. These folks dont care about police or laws.
You should show them Contact with Jodie Foster.
These two watching 'It Follows' would be hilarious. Or maybe watching 'NOPE'
Hannibal (2001) and Red Dragon (2002) are sequels to these movies. They're both great. Tasteful horror. Though I would recommend to not show just any horror to Babu, he clearly doesn't enjoy sadistic scenes. He should skip movies like It, The Mist, Hostel, Saw, Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Friday the 13th. They're not bad movies but there's nothing in it for him.
Just watched their response to the ending. They should definitely go and see the two sequels otherwise Hannibal breaking out of prison makes no sense to them. Hannibal continues to be the anti-hero, the psychopath who hunts other psychopaths while at the same time mentally messing with law enforcement. That's what makes these stories so satisfying to watch.
I actually understand that about him, that is why in an old comment when I mentioned about making them watching horror movies just to get into the Halloween mood they can watch Creepshow and Creepshow 2, where it is violent but not too taboo and still a fun horror movie.
@@missourigreen051 Yes, there's fun horror and there's depraved horror. That depraved horror is only enjoyable to desentized western brains who have seen everything else already and are looking for some thrill. No need to plague rural villagers with such depths of humanity.
Red Dragon is a prequel to Silence, not a sequel.
"Gay getting ready, maybe he's trying to be a girl, oh my god! But you are a man, there is no doubt about it." 😂
Babu, "He is Gay" 😂 Two movies in a row...
What a fantastic choice...a true classic!
Why this?
Why now?
They aren't ready! 😳
33:27 LMAO
this channel is great
I would hate to watch a movie with Babu because he's condescending and always correcting someone else's feelings or views but not his own!!!
He's very rude.🥺
I think he reserves the majority of that for Raeen xD
He doesn't do it with Ruby, only when Raeen comments on something.
I was JUST wondering if you guys would watch this movie woooow y'all are psychic
I think they missed the "I'm having an old friend for dinner" reference and who that meal was going to be lol.
Harry Potter reaction please
If you want to know the best way to milk a goat ask Babu, for anything else ask Raeen.
Febreze is my wingman!
Thanks for your work Gentlemen!
Love that you guys brought back the original intro
Finally a true classic for them to watch. Next do, 'Dances With Wolves' or 'Rainman'
It's 9am, time for your meds grandpa. (I kid I kid) 😂😂
"Lincoln" directed by Spielberg, starring Daniel Day Lewis. Classic and contemporary.
Rainman is boring. Not reaction material.
Truman show is better.
@@jqz273 Lincoln assumes the audience is already familiar with the history. It just jumpcuts to familiar scenes without explaining what's going on. They'd need to have some informative video on the Civil War and specifically Abraham Lincoln before they would enjoy that movie.
Show them Halloween (1978) please!
@HP-jz5se Yeah, you right
I guess showing them the movie 2007 remake version is much better, though it'll be gore and disturbing
Please show them The Mothman Prophecies. It’s a supernatural thriller with a similar disturbing atmosphere like this.
On a lighter, stranger film a classic, "Ground Hog day," or a funny classic, "Caddy Shack!"
Why. Are. You. Doing. This. To. These. People? Maybe let them watch Harold and Maude? Finding Nemo? Wall'E? Heck, even The Blair Witch Project would be less traumatizing.
I'm really excited to watch this again, I saw it on Patreon earlier and it was excellent. So I'll gladly watch this a second time here on RUclips. Thanks Babu Bhai and Raeen! 🎉
This movie is masterpiece and I've seen all of them many years ago. There are sequel in this movie.
Red Dragon
Man hunter
The Silence of the Lambs
Hannibal, and
Hannibal Rising.
They might enjoy 'The Bank Job' or 'Catch Me If You Can', two movies based on true stories, a lot less gruesome and more entertaining.
That went over better than I thought it would. They've made it clear they're not into guts and gore but you keep letting some kid who spends too much time with white boys pick these movies. I'm waiting on them to just walk out on you one day soon.
If you're just looking for plot twists I'd suggest using Babu, Raju, and Ruby and showing them something like shutter Island, the butterfly effect, dragonfly, lucky number slevin, or something like that. Fight club, kill Bill, might be up Raeen alley. I'd still use caution pushing these people.
I have to say, there has probably never been a man in the world who was a more dangerous and prolific a killer than Veerappan. But it's possible to call Veerappan either a monster or a hero because he did not kill for the sake of killing, but because his way of life was illegal and he refused to submit to other people. The character Hannibal Lecter played a dirty trick on Clarice, he sent her to kill Buffalo Bill because he thought it would make her like him. A person like that takes their creativity and genius and instead of making beautiful or useful things does the exact opposite, making ugly and destructive things. It's their own existence they are at war with, not other people. Other people are the most beautiful thing in creation and that's why they attack them. The motives of other people do not concern them, so there's no making peace with them.
Don't bother with the Hannibal origin movie, just go straight to Red Dragon pls...
Wasn't this based on a real incident or multiple? Like the human suit Has some Ed Gein vibes and I remember reading way back when that the author of the book this is based on based his book on some contemporary serial killer(s).
i thunk you can show them hannibal as it is a sequel
Yes I would like to see them react to that.
Yes, that is Jodie Foster's real eye color. I have the same eyes, as does my father, Aunt, 2 or 3 of my grandparents( i can't remember for sure since they passed a long time ago, my nephew, cousins.
I love the fact that they aren't getting how ALL the men in this film are slightly predatory. "First of all, she's a girl," is one of the points of the film. Hannibal and Jame are just at the far end of what is portrayed as a pretty bad spectrum
Interesting to see Babu making the sign of the cross during the funeral scene; I hadn't thought he was Christian.
They need to see the movie The Others.
All jokes aside, I wonder about their reaction to Brokeback Mountain
Them talking about crime where there is no police. Try America, either we do not have enough police for the population we have or their statements are wayyy incorrect. We got a crap ton of crime here.
Missing so much subtext, theme, subtlety, and even entire important plot points, but it's still interesting to see a basic outside opinion.
Show them "The Batman" from 2022!
I need a "I
You can make it at home, all you need is two small.aubergines.
Helo the first movie is manhunter director Michael Mann is masterpiece movie my favorite movie for me
Finally a different kind of movie. I suggest Ben-Hur, Enter the dragon and Satyajit Ray's Apu trilogy next.
these pair make me laugh , both funny character's
The movie is from a book which was loosely based on a real person.
Clarice is graduating at the end, not getting a special honor.
Too cruel for Babu 😢❤
If they don’t ever watch seven I’ll be so mad
Crime exists everywhere, especially in place where people think crime does not occur.
@dhammett11 In your house?
"Bruhbaa bruhbaa" :)
Silence of the lambs is a great movie for Halloween.
6:23 Raeen is really scared watching Hanibal. 😅
37:14 "For the first time I'm scared" 😮
I felt the same the first time i watched this movie 😂.
I love this movie, an excellent choice!
Buffalo Bill is not gay- he thinks he's transexual- 2 very different things- transsexualism is about gender, homosexuality is about sexual desire.
He didn’t say that, the subtitles were wrong and not for the first time. They have been told to change translater but they won’t respond. The translater have several times written subtitles that paint them in a really bad light when they never even said that
Sir, Back to the Future 2.
"Call of The Wild" plz
Where has this channel been all my life?
It is so interesting seeing people from a completely different culture reacting to stuff that I've taken for granted all my years. And I love how attentive they are throughout the whole process, really trying to understand what's going on. These guys are great.
Blair Witch Project !
I truly wish and pray for you to NOT put these kinds of evil or fear into their pure spirits or hearts. 🙏 Can we just get back to the music and other positive issues? There is too much evil already. Babu Bhai loves music, so can we play some Pavarotti? I think Uncle would greatly appreciate it. Please stop trying to conform to others. We Love you just as you are.
Could you possibly contemplate getting over yourself for one minute.
1. The lisping sound Hopkins makes after he says, 'I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti." is the first scene he and Foster did together and he wanted to freak her out, so her reaction is real.
2. Ted Levine/Buffalo Bill was so disturbing that he received death threats after this was released.
3. The FBI actually let them use their Quantico facility to film.
4. In the book Crawford did have a "thing" for Clarice.
5. "I'm coming to get you Murdock". The late Charles Napier/Lt. Boyle played Murdock in Rambo First Blood II. A great first time/share.
6. Everybody is hitting on Clarice but IRL hitting on Foster is a waste of time and effort. She doesn't fly that way. 🙄 She has been married to a woman since it became legal in Caliphony.
7. Dr. Lecter was treating Clarice
8. Others will pass this to you as well but: This movie won ALL 5 of the big Oscars.😎 Levine should have gotten best supporting.
Show them the Conjuring 💀
Movie swept the top Oscars- Picture, Director, Actor, Actress and Screenplay- total CLASSIC!!!!!!!
A great recommendation...The Little Girl Who Lived Down The Lane...an incredible performance by Jodie Foster when she was really young...and it's really creepy....a movie that many have not seen...
