    When Morgan Freeman walked out of prison in the suit, Badshah said, "He looks like Amrish Puri." For the westerners here, Amrish Puri played the evil priest in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, but he was a famous actor in Hindi cinema, as well. I would love to see their take on the Indiana Jones films, especially the, uh...odd...depiction of India.

    • @Trendyflute
      @Trendyflute Год назад +5

      The Green Mile is good but I don't like it anywhere near as much as The Shawshank Redemption. IMO when Stephen King avoids outright supernatural themes he's a brilliant writer; once he starts leaning on supernatural deus ex machina in his stories he quickly becomes hacky. The Green Mile is nowhere near as good of a story, it holds together on character. But even that falls apart when you see what an obvious, even disgusting, example of alleviating white guilt via the "magical negro" trope The Green Mile is. Shawshank is simply one of the finest films ever made; that ever could be made. The Green Mile is not, by a big margin, for many reasons. Sorry Green Mile fans.

    "Everything is explained so well," Babu says, but he misses the other themes and lessons that Shawshank tries to get across. The film explores the injustice and flaws of legal systems, the enduring power of hope and perseverance, the strength of the human spirit, and the importance of friendship. It also delves into the consequences of corruption and the significance of finding purpose and embracing second chances. Additionally, it highlights the importance of calculating risks and seizing opportunities for positive changes when possible, the power and importance of freedom, and the impact of having dreams and goals to aspire toward.

    Does no one else think these reactions seem a bit.. scripted? The dialogue in these films on this channel requires a good understanding of English, and the dialogue in this film requires a fair bit of nuance. I've watched English films with my parents, family friends and family who all understand English at a basic level and there's some plot points in films they don't understand. How do these guys understand every bit of dialogue in every film?
