“Grab the mayor and beat him with your shoes!”
Probably the best Jaws response ever!🤣🤣
I laughed so hard. Who can disagree with that statement?
I think this movie shows, how politicians work everywhere. A dangerous situation comes up, experts tell them, what will happen, if they don't act like the experts say, a little effort is done and the politicians declare, that the situation is fully under control, because they don't want to loose popularity. But the situation is in fact still dangerous
Best Jaws reaction, ever 😊
"Kill this man all together"
"He is a bastard"
♥
@@Anthyrion you are 100% correct. I grew up in Destin Florida, a small fishing village in 1983. The problem is those small towns rely on tourists once or twice per year and most of the towns economy rely on the tourists so many business owners do not want beaches closed.
I agree with you. And shut down the beach! I live in Orlando Florida now, but we see shark bites on the news once every few months.
That is actually rare, considering if you Google how long is the coastline of Florida. We share the Gulf of Mexico with the Atlantic ocean.
Orlando is Central Florida, sorry if you already knew that, but we are about one hour from two different bodies of water.
More opportunities for shark bites, but it is not often. They only come close to shore when their food supply is short.
Sending love to you and yours from Orlando, Florida!😊
This was based on a real event in my state. But it wasn’t a great white shark, they actually aren’t that aggressive. It was a bull shark and bull sharks can go up river into fresh water, they’ve been found miles up the Mississippi
"Who goes swimming at night?!?" I did not find the answer to that question for 40 years! 😂😂😂
This is an absolute hoot. I loved this. Very cool 🙏
I am CRYING over here 😂
The one and only time I saw a movie with my parents it was Jaws. I would not go into Lake Michigan
. I never did much. A Jerk nearly drowned me at age two on the shore. He ain't pretty now.Where are these guys from. I watched so many videos of these fellows trying our gross food.
Please show them the 5th Element.
Lions dont live in jungles. They are the royalty of the savannah. The real king of the jungles of Africa is the gorilla. In the jungles of Asia, its the tiger.
There are many jungles and forests and each one has a different ruler just like human kingdoms used to.
Brilliant
I like how they refer to the characters as expert man, hunter and coward lol.
Don’t forget chief
who is coward?
@@chatteyj Chief Brody, because he appeared timid in the eyes of these villagers.
@@chatteyj Chief became Coward.

(Quint smashes radio)
Other reactors: “OMG is he crazy?”
These guys: “Death is coming! And instead of facing it, you’re in here calling!”
😂😂😂 they’re awesome.
😂😂😂😂
ikr! I LOVE THAT reaction! "....death is coming and your in here calling!" I had to watch that twice.
That's a REAL MAN's reaction right there.
Get off the phone!
Get out here and help, coward!
That's what I was thinking! I've always sided with the Chief in that scene and thought the hunter was going crazy from his hate of sharks. But, they sided with the hunter and chastised the Chief for not facing death head on. I see their point!
Yeah, that was the most unique interpretation of that scene that I've witnessed.
That is amazing and I love their view
I like how they both pointed out Brody is a coward, the mayor is a bastard, how it wasn't the woman who slapped Brody but mother's love. It's really interesting to see these films from such a different perspective to my own as I'm from Belfast, but at the same time so much of their view is just like my own.
We really are one human race in the end. It's amazing.
I love their discussion during this. Also how they're telling Chief Brody not to be afraid because they are both here for him! ❤😊
"where is that bastard Mayor" 🤣🤣..... brilliant.
Absolutely incredible reaction. You've got to show them Jurassic Park now. It will blow Babu's mind!
they just did!!!! check it out! 😁
I wish you had told the villagers that Quint's story about the Indianapolis incident is basically true. It's already an incredibly powerful part of the film, but the basis in reality amplifies that 10x
a boy who watched the film did a school project on the attack. the project wound up clearing the captain who the navy had blamed to cover up the botched rescue by the navy
@@toomanyaccounts I read a long summary of the events and was taken aback at the incompetence (or corruption) of the navy and their despicable scapegoating of the Indianapolis captain and crew. Whenever someone counter-argues that bad things can't happen because we're the U.S.A., I can only shake my head in disbelief.
It was the ship that delivered the Atom Bomb to Kwajalein atoll, where the Ebola Gay took it to Hiroshima…
@@bighuge1060 the Japanese sub captain said there was nothing that the Indy captain could have done to stop the attack.
@@bighuge1060 "Whenever someone counter-argues that bad things can't happen because we're the U.S.A"
Literally nobody ever said anything remotely like that to you.
I've come to adore the elders of the village. They've seen a lot, they share wisdom, and they have a great sense of humor.
If they renamed this movie as Hunter, Expert and The Coward I wouldn't be mad
One minute in and I'm already laughing my head off at their comments.
"That woman is not speaking, but, the mother's love is speaking..." You two made many fine observations, but, that quote is poetry, Good Sir. Absolute poetry.
The rest of us Americans were thinking what is wrong with Quinn when he destroyed the Radio? These two see and admire people who rise to challenges, show bravery or people who run from challenges. Many cultural differences, but it's amazing how people see the same scene and think different things.
I don't think they realized he was calling for backup, not just calling to say hey, we seen the shark or what's up.
@@arifeannor9573 They totally did! And they called him a coward for looking for someone else to save him when death was coming. Okay, I'm convinced- Brody was a coward.
It was good that the underwater work was noticed and praised. Babu is right in recognizing how difficult it is to film these things. He gets credit for giving credit! I love this channel.
Babu is becoming so more citified. He dresses sharp. He seems more energetic. He’s traveled, flown and experienced so many things he’s almost worldly. What a wonderful thing to happen to anyone at his age . ( or any age for that matter)
He’s such a kind and gentle soul. We need more people like him.
I think he’s earned quite a bit of money from doing the show.
I know, right,! He is a worldly gentleman now. Considering how much education they have gotten from these videos, but also helps to refresh our memory and learn new things as viewers. Giggle giggle
Yes, I remember the first time I saw Babu look through VR goggles and he got to "travel the world" that way, and he wept when he took off the goggles because it seemed his dream of traveling had come true, and he was so happy. Goes to show how things can happen at any age 😊
Babu isn’t as old as he looks. I remember he gave his age a few years ago so I think he is about 67 now. I know to young people that’s old but he looks much older than 67.
This is a universally accepted masterpiece. Hats off to you Mr Steven Spielberg.
Spielberg's storytelling is as on point as it's ever been here. I'd LOVE to see these gents watch Close Encounters, what a mindblow.
Close Encounters would be great! And E.T.
E.T. Totally.@@Weirdo1982
These guys, I like them both. The tall guy, wish I knew his name, made some insightful comments at the end about how suspense was created. We all know it but he chose good words that showed he had more than a superficial understanding. If he was a film critic we would applaud him but the same words from a villager should have no less merit.
His name is Badshah.
He would have made a great James Bond villain.
@@Muckylittleme He's got the height, but the name "Jaws" is already taken. 😋
@@aaronmicalowe Ha ha, nicely done. I'll toss em up, you hit em.
@@NailHeavenAshford Does he have giantism? That is a real condition.
I like the villagers morals. Their philosophy is sound and you can tell it's steeped in a connection with God and human nature. Their appreciation for the art of film making is refreshing.
Loved this reaction. So authentic, and it is very impressive how much they understand the plot and storyline given the language and cultural differences. Babu is a great teacher to have nearby, as he has already seen quite a few movies and is obviously getting good at explaining nuances to his companions. I would love to see these guys react to the original Jurassic Park.
Yes i love that movie!
“Impressive how much they understand the plot.” What by just literally pointing out what they see on the screen? Stop projecting ffs. You cultural relativism ⬅️ys are absolutely pathetic. These people could make a basic jam sandwich and you’d make a comment saying they have the potential to become a professional chef. 🤦🏻♂️😑
Yes they need to see JP!
I cant Imagine what their reactions will be like
Oh yes JP1 my favourite movie
Jaws is pretty straightforward that's the brilliance of it
“Grab the Mayor and beat him with you shoes”, that was the best!😂
I'd love to see their reaction when they find out the same guy is STILL the Mayor in Jaws 2.
🤣
That would be great.
With these guys, I'm always surprised how sophisticated they are with understanding themes, aspects of the technical movie making techniques, etc. In Jaws, they picked up a major message that was more pronounced in the novel. The sheriff's lack of courage.
These two gentlemen are brilliant and kind hearted. I would love to be in their family.
"He has a government job, so his house must be nice."
I laughed good.
That background makes me think that a Looney Tunes episode is about to start.
Me too! I was waiting for Bugs Bunny or Porky Pig to burst out from in between them and say “The-the-the-the-that’s all Folks!”
❤😊
"Find the mayor and beat him with your shoes." 🤣
"When you see your death, you become fearless."
"And sometimes, you wet your pants."
Hilarious!
Amazing to watch these men watch this with as much appreciation and apprehension as 1975 audience
"That drunkard was just laying there" LMAO
" Coward fellow has won it" The Coward showed great courage . ROFLMAO !!
THEY NEED TO SEE JURASSIC PARK!
Excellent suggestion
YES! Also, The Thing.
One of them did! Just finished watching that one!
I love how mad they got at the mayor, me too lol
It's awesome seeing how these guys with limited cultural references still get about 90% of what is going on.
Except maybe for "Forrest Gump", all the 1960's references they didn't get.
"I think this shark is bigger than a tractor." 😂
These guys are immune to jump scares.
Truly one of the greatest utilizations of You Tube since its inception. A magical series with the Villagers....
“My brother, he is an educated expert, why are you not understanding him?” RIGHT??? These guys get it.
I also love how instead of blaming the shark they blamed the mayor because... yeah. I mean in economic terms the situation was complicated because shutting the beach down would’ve meant condemning every business owner in town to go through some really tough times, but... yeah. The mayor did fuck up.
But especially, I LOVE how they immediately love Quint. Hell yeah. My dude right there.
These guys are so fun, if I knew their language i’d watch every movie in existence with them.
They can't even imagine it wasn't a real shark. Well done Mr. Spielberg.
Loved this reaction. I was rivetted.
1.)Makes me really appreciate Spielberg's master storytelling that crosses distance, culture, and half a century of time.
2.)Makes me also appreciate masterful characterization: with a language and culture barrier, they could tell within MINUTES of meeting the characters, who is afraid, knowledgeable, and experienced.
This was the best random RUclips reaction video I've clicked on in a while. These guys are great! Salute!
Also, when they were filming, the robot shark did not always work in a way that could be used. How can you have a movie about a shark if you don't see it? The idea they came up with was the floating barrels. This way you knew when the shark was near & in a way made the story even more exciting. The cage scene underwater had a very small man with a real shark so it would appear that the shark was much bigger. However the shark really did almost hurt the diver & the panic in some of the scenes is real fear. Afterwards, they decided to keep most of that footage in the movie.
The idea they came up with was using the sharks point of view as it approached its prey. "Bruce" didn't work half the time so Spielberg couldn't get the shots he really wanted, but as it turned out, the suspense of using your imagination from the sharks point of view was a master stroke of genius, along with John Williams iconic music. You're not wrong on the use of the barrels however, and that was another great idea thanks to Bruce's refusal to work properly.
The barrels were because that's how catch sharks and whales. We've been been doing it for 300 years.
Barrels tire them out, and show where they are. I remember an Australian shark hunter saying he rarely had to use more than one but when one time he used 3 on a 7 metre White. They had it hooked, But it snapped the hook and still got away.
Loved it! Please do more movie reactions, providing there is appropriate language translation.
I really enjoy all the movie reactions - can’t wait to see more! Also like the WB cartoons background 👍🏽
To me the eeriest, creepiest scene is the pier creaking and slowly turning around. OMG! And in my opinion the best part off the musical score is when the chief's son is copying him at the dinner table. In the forefront of the music a pleasant musical cue for the son or what's right in front of him. In the background we hear a low, slow version of the Jaws theme. It speaks to the condition of the chief almost as though it's a musical representation of his deepest thoughts. Even though something cute is in front of him in the back off his mind all he can think is "sharks". We hear them swimming through his mind.
That tall guy needs to get a call from hollywood. Great character actor possibility and loads of money for him and family/ village.
I love this. I live on the other side of the world from these guys, but we feel the same way about jaws. In a world with rapidly vanishing commonality, these reactions make me very happy.
It was fun to see the movie through their eyes. Great job, guys.

“The Tiger is the King of the jungle, the shark is the Queen of the seas.” What a beautiful quote
Lord of The Rings 2?????
I don't know why they keep branching the serials apart from over another. I'm still waiting on the rest of John wick, transformers, termination, and all the rest. Little mermaid, Pocahontas, Whitney Houston Cinderella version, and Michael Jackson Earth song video. Also purple rain would be cool with understanding of who Prince was.
I’m so excited. Thank you for making this one longer.
Man they tore into the mayor 😂😂 babu even called him a bastard 😂
Can't believe they talked over "You're gonna need a bigger boat" lol glad to see them enjoying another quality film!
I also can't think Babu and Badshah enough for this revised interpretation of Chief Brody as a massive coward. Might be the best point made in film theory in years!
Babu needs his own channel
Babu is my favorite reactor, I absolutely remember my grandfather and all the wisdom he told us among the years. I'm glad I can relate with a wise simple man like him.
I honestly can’t get enough of this channel. It’s so awesome to see the reactions
It might be fun now to show them where "Bruce" the shark is today. The shark in this movie was a mechanical shark, which they named Bruce. You can find images of the ways they used the mechanical shark online. You can also find videos on RUclips of how they made the Jaws movies. All of the Jaws movies scared me as a kid, but don't phase me at all today. 😂
Faze, not phase.
My father saw this movie when he was a child and it scared him very much. I love these 2 together they are very insightful and respectful.
I went to the theater back then to see this. I was 8 or 9. Lord knows why my parents thought this was a good idea. I couldn't swim in the ocean until the 90's. And to this day, have a phobia of what is unseen underneath dark water.

Babu I love the quote you said " queen of the sea" that's perfect title for great white
The Chief wasn't timid. He wanted to close the beach. But had to do what his boss. The Mayor said. They're livelihoods depended on the beach being open. Tourists.
Chief is a family man, the captain has already seen everything and now only lives for the waves and the fight.
*I actually love when they see classics from America. We know how you feel, Babu and Badshah...we hate that mayor, too! Babu traumatized by the Captain being eaten, as Badshah is loving the effects! They REALLY need to see the animated version of Brother Bear, by Disney Pixar.*
OMG THEY WOULD LOVE BROTHER BEAR! It's such an amazing and underrated film! But it's so honest and raw while still being family-friendly. It genuinely saddens me that more people have not seen it
@@bigschmill294 ...right? Thank you! I also think it is VERY underrated. And it gives spirituality and not religion. LOVE that, and know they would identify with the Native American beliefs.
Have they already seen Gladiator (with Russell Crowe)? They might enjoy it.
While this is a classic movie, it should be noted that in 2019 five people were reported to have been killed by sharks worldwide, in the same year over 415,000 people were victims of homicide. People, a hundred thousand times more dangerous than sharks.
If we lived in the sea the numbers would be different... come on now
At the same time sharks are becoming extinct because of worse water quality and because they're being hunted for their fins. Their fins are cut off and then the sharks are thrown back alive, because only the fins are interesting for the buyers. Literally tons of fins. Barbaric.
I went to the theater as a young girl and saw JAWS on the big screen. I still remember it.

they understand the underlying themes because they are universal across all cultures
"the coward who becomes a hero" is an ancient story

I was SO HAPPY to see you guys react to this! This is one of my favourite movies, I was hoping you’d watch it!
Pretty funny that they term Brody as a coward. He was a simple cop on land and was out of his element at sea. He was actually probably the smartest one of the bunch when he said "We need a bigger boat."

Such a fun and wholesome reaction to one of my favorite movies. I really enjoyed watching, keep the reactions coming please!
I've only watched a few of these videos, but something I have learned it that truly good (meaning "understandably human") storytelling is universal. Dishonesty is dishonesty, but what differs is how the circumstances of an dishonest choice is viewed in cultural context. Sometimes a lot, sometimes not very much.

The author of the book 'Jaws' says he regrets writing the book because it caused so much damag to shark populations.
Oh wow! I’m 40 and grew up in Destin Florida USA and even as a small child we would swim at night in the Gulf of Mexico with many sharks.
We always knew the rule, don’t swim during sunrise or sunset, that’s typical feeding time. I remember being in kindergarten and jumping off of a three-story tuna tower with my older brother over and over. Small fishing village with the closest hospital and mall was almost an hour away .
I did not know this about your comment. I just wanted to thank you for sharing the information. I think Gordon Ramsay is the biggest shark proponent I have ever heard of. Sending love to you and yours from Orlando Florida.❤

I think they would really like the original sword in the Stone, Robin Hood, the animated original Disney movies. Whoever is choosing these is doing a good job. I think.
The people who would have gone out to kill sharks because of Jaws are exactly the same type of people who scream at an actor like Jack Gleeson (Joffrey) from Game of Thrones in real life that they hate him and he should perish. We all know the type, yep it’s the Not So Brights. The same group who always think the solution to a problem is to do whatever’s opposite of the right thing to do.

Great reaction! But I think they now deserve to watch a video about the reality of sharks: they aren't the killers that they show us in movies. Theres beautiful videos on internet about people that try to save sharks and dive with them. It would be good they watch it
They said, "This chief is always timid. Who made him chief?" 😂
Nooooo?!!!! You can't show them this without recording the context to then. Sharks are necessary creatures who do s lot of good this world. But they are fish. Steven Spielberg says that's he's forever ashamed of the movie making people believe that they were just fierce murderers. He's now an activist for them. He's now trying to save them.

Their perception of the movie is the same as ours but it’s the language that they used or the wording to describing what they were looking at is what won me over. Perfect!
I love the guy on the left and can't keep my eyes off him, he's so cool.
Shame about his fingers… 🤢🤮😷
Badshah.
Do you mean his painted nails? People like to put nail polish in a binary ‘woman box’.
It is okay for anyone to wear anything. Don't let society's "rules" limit you from doing what makes you happy and feel good. You may get some stares, but that's their problem, not yours. Do whatever makes you happy, regardless of whether it's "okay" or not. What's "okay" is determined by people you don't owe anything to, so why does it matter?
Rings, bracelets and nails polish. They make him feel good about himself. Especially as he has a disability and probably spends long hours on his own, which he has admitted to in the past, I don’t begrudge this lovely man the therapeutic act of applying nail polish. Snoop Dogg wears it, Harry Styles, Marc Jacobs, ASAP Rocky, Machine Gun Kelly, Post Malone, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Prince, Kurt Cobain and…. Babylonian warriors were doing it around 3500BC as part of a pre battle intimidation ritual.
I’ve done manicures and polish on men. Why not? Yes sometimes it is a little chipped but these things cost money so it’s a luxury to him.
I wear Louboutin red nail polish on my toes which is amazing and lasts for absolutely ages.
I agree that Badshah is cool. I took an instant liking to him. Badshah and Babu make a good match for watching films together.
@@ryanwillock1731 What is a shame, is he has had to live with Polio. So what if he likes to color his nails!
This is a beautiful reaction. One correction - the shark was 25 feet long, not 13. That's even more scary. It looked so real because Steven Spielberg is a very good filmmaker. The huge shark was fake, and the film was edited together with footage of real sharks.
"Jaws" was mostly filmed on location on the island of Nantucket, in Massachusetts, USA. Back in 1975, great white sharks rarely came that far north, but great whites hunt seals, and seals have been migrating north, so the great whites have followed them. Today, the sea along the coat of Massachusetts gets lots of great white sharks every summer. So we are more like the movie now than we were in 1975.
Hunter Quint's story about the USS Indianapolis is basically true. Quint is a fictional character, but the sinking of the ship and the loss of the crew to shark attacks really happened, during WW2.
"Jaws" was inspired by another true story that happened in 1916. That incident happened in the state of New Jersey, not far from Massachusetts. Like the shark in "Jaws," the 1916 shark established a territory along the New Jersey shore and up a fresh water creek. It killed several people over that summer. The fear of it gave sharks a bad reputation for decades afterward. Of course, now we understand that they are important predators in the ocean environment.
First time seeing this channel. So interesting to see how people from another culture interpret this movie, To me, at no point was Chief Brody a coward, he's just in way over his head and knows it. He's forced to face his worst fear without the knowledge that Hooper (expert man) or Quint (hunter) have. Brody trying to call the Coast Guard was his acknowledging that they needed help. Quint smashing the radio was out of greed (for the $10,000) and ego (wanted to kill the shark himself).I was laughing with every mean thing said about the mayor. What a slimeball!
Fully agree! To me, Brody showed more courage than anyone; because he still went out there, in spite of his fear. And, unlike his two partners (both shark experts with loads of experience being out on the water), he was woefully out of his element.
The radio scene adds a karmic element to Quint's death. Had they simply called and waited for the Coast Guard, he may well have lived. Undone by his own hubris.
All 3 were terrified and still risked their lives to stop this beast of a shark. Y'all are awesome!
