Ruby is so bright! She really understood everything.
It would be great having them watch Apollo 13, telling them beforehand that it is actually inspired by real events. It is an excellent way to really see how NASA worked back then and how science was used to bring the crew back home, alive.
I came here to suggest the same film! I want them to watch Apollo 13. It is older than the Martian, but as it is a true story it would have an even greater impact. Just make sure to tell them it is a true story before it starts!
MATH! :p
@@kinagrill Mathematics. Math's.
Not just inspired, it is almost exactly scene-for-scene what happened. There were a few minor changes in characters (the team that figured out the technical solution was actually just one guy while on his way to work, for example) and there was also no fight between the astronauts, but almost everything else was exactly like it happened. Even the dialogue of the astronauts and ground station are taken nearly word-for-word from the actual records.
Wish granted 😉
The emotions Ruby expresses in her reactions are always gold. Awesome reaction to a brilliant movie 🙌
Ruby now that's one person that if she had access to education, what could she have become. she has a very strong mind she learns quick she's super observant she catches nearly a 100% of what Babu misses. If someone in the movie just finished killing children and starts jumping down clapping and being happy then Babu starts to do the same thing and Ruby turns to him and says why are you clapping and saying yay they just murdered all those kids, they just did all those bad things and then Babu looks like oh my god
@@mirzabaig3362lol she always gets annoyed it seems with him talking over important dialogues. He doesn’t have “movie etiquette” since this is probably the first time he’s been exposed to movies like this.
Ruby was an absolutely great addition to this group. She is intelligent and articulate... plus is so very beautiful. She is exactly what the channel needed. I enjoy the channel more when she is on. :)
You know when I want to forget about all the troubles of the world and relax I look forward to seeing a movie 🍿 with my villager friends. God bless them.
nice to see that the scene of mark performing surgery on himself makes EVERYONE cringe and that it's not just me who has such a visceral reaction... good to know it's a universal thing and that i'm not just squeamish about surgery
I've had one stitch put in my big toe without any freezing, and that was extremely painful. Never listen to an emergency room doctor who tells you that it's only two pokes to sew it shut, and four if you get the needles to freeze it. First of all, you're frozen for two of those pokes, and most importantly, the needles used to freeze the area aren't pulling sutures along behind them. Also, never wrap a giant pair of heavy sewing scissors in a towel and then absent mindedly shake the towel out so that the scissors drop straight down and into your foot. That would seem obvious, but 🤷♀️. I have a friend who is a race car driver, among many other fascinating things, and she's stitched up her own cuts, and her partner's as well. Not if it's really bad of course, but she can manage a couple of stitches. At least she knows to freezes the area!
It’s a human thing. If you have empathy you can imagine what he’s feeling
Ruby just gets it! No matter what they show her.
Ruby is SO incredibly intelligent and capable of picking up on even the smallest clues that others might miss! I love that she always goes into a movie with laser-focus, and the determination to use her brain to put as many pieces together as possible. The way she articulates what's going on throughout each movie, is so well-spoken. I just love her! ❤
I love the beautiful RUBY and the wise BABU'S reactions they have the best reactions outof all of them! And they appreciate all films in its entirety ❤
I'm jealous that they have literally hundreds of fantastic movies they get to experience for the first time. But I'm happy to live it vicariously through them 🙂
Was waiting for this...but Our brother Rayeen is missing 😂❤
Good movie choice .. wish Raeen was also there in this reaction (He enjoys anything related to science). But Ruby was a great addition to this reaction.
I'm intrigued by their responses to the the "Best botanist on the planet" and "space pirate" comments. Intended as jokes within the context of the film, they seem to have taken them at face value. Their reactions are endearing as always.
Her eyes 👀 are so so beautiful.
Love seeing how universal our emotions are. Fear, admiration, humor. These things we all share.
Why the surprise that another human has the same inate and natural emotions with a film!?
Ruby is a great addition, her and Raeen don’t miss a single detail
Ruby is becoming my favourite, She is smart as hell and has a lot more emotional intelligence than the rest of the crew (sorry guys!) Also wow her clothes are amazing.
I would like to suggest the film Samsara (2011)
It is an absolutely breathtakingly beautiful documentary film, with no dialogue, only music, showcasing the most beautiful cinematic shots from all around the world, highlighting people, cultures and ways of life on our planet. The contrast and juxtaposition of how differently people live all across the planet while revealing the fundamental truth that we are all human, and all the same. All without one line of dialogue. A total mindf@#&k, in the best possible way.
I really want the whole crew, especially the boys since they're around my age to watch slumdog millionaire. I watched it when i was about 13 and it takes place in India. Its one of the best movies ive ever seen
@@staydown4bo I've been wanting that, too!!! It's such an incredible story of triumph through hardship. Inspirational beyond belief!
In the most respectful way this woman is so beautiful. Stunning eyes and wonderful clothing. Great reaction to the movie also!
After Interstellar, I was thinking about them watching this movie!! Next, they should do Arrival (with Amy Adams). Together, these make three of my favorite space movies of the past 10 years. Each about the scariest parts of space while still being unabashedly hopeful.
Beyond EMOTION, is their wisdom! Rose : IF YOU DON'T LET THE CIRCUMSTANCES OVERPOWER YOU THEN NOT EVEN DEATH IS A THREAT
For anyone who is interested, i highly recommend reading the book version of this movie, its actually pretty funny the thoughts the main character has in his own head.
Something film cannot portray properly
I've read the book as well and I agree that it gives you insight into Mark's inner thoughts which are downright funny at times.
Yes, great book, lots more scientific detail but also lots of humor, written by Andy Weir. I also read his books "Artemis", about a moon colony in a glass dome, which was supposed to be made into a movie but I don't believe ever happened. His 3rd book, "Project Hail Mary", was a fun one, about a man sent on a one-way mission into space, with the expectation of having to die there, but along the way he meets a very unusual alien creature.....this one is supposed to be an upcoming move with Ryan Gosling.
@@SK-lk3iuThanks for the description. I started Hail Mary but never finished it. Will go back and check it out.
*Highlights:* 🎬
1:55 The storm hits the crew. Babu: 😱 Ruby turns temporally into a petrified frog 🐸
3:08 Mark is left behind. Ruby: "What will happen if he survives?" They'll probably make a film out of it, Ruby. 😆
3:13 The universal language of _"I tOld YoU sO"_ 😆 Also, a big round of applause for Mark being still alive. 👏👏
4:40 Mark is patching himself up. It's a hard *NOPE* from Babu and Ruby.
8:04 Mark has blown himself up. Mark: _"Because I'm stupid"_ Babu and Ruby: 🤣🤣
8:45 A little potato sprout on Mars. Babu and Ruby: 👏😲😲👏
11:37 Not Babu vibing over "Hot Stuff". Who am I kidding here. Why am I even surprised? 😆
14:26 Mark contacts NASA. Babu and Ruby: 🎉👏👏🎉
15:01 The secret ingredient behind Mark's brilliance, according to Babu: 🥔
17:39 Ruby gives to Mark the absolute sovereignty over Mars. Seems fair.
19:01 The Hab's airlock blows out, all the crops are lost. Babu is devastated. (Relatable)
21:18 The Atlas V rocket explodes. Ruby is *PISSED*. (Very relatable)
23:46 The Hermes crew decide to go save Mark. Babu and Ruby: 🎉*CLAPS & KISSES* 🎉
28:32 Mark strips the MAV. Ruby: Forget this, we would have been screwed from day one 🤣
29:45 MAV lifts off. Babu starts to pray. (Understandable)
31:28 Mark yeets himself into space. Ruby: _GraspGraspGraspGraspGrasp_ 😆
32:05 Commander Lewis catches Mark. 🥺 *SILENT EMOTIONAL BOMB* 🥺
32:30 Commander Lewis informs NASA that Mark has been saved. 🎉👏 *LOUD EMOTIONAL BOMB* 👏🎉
35:53 Never give up. 💪
40:02 Nonsense, Babu! You would have farmed the HELL outta Mars! 😆
41:21 Babu sings for us about having some atmospheric agents as travelling companions. 🎶
Oh, I love this comment. Thanks! I too remember Babu's potato remarks.
@@remo27 If only! I would be Stephen Hawking! 🥔🥔🥔
I've been stalling lately to find you then watch based on your notes. Are there any other channels you do?
The book, by Andy Weir, is amazing too, and this movie is a very faithful adaptation! Mr. Weir did a lot of research for this novel, contacting experts on NASA and Mars, and more. It should be a very realistic story about how survival would be possible in this situation, if the person is smart and resourceful enough. It’s a very well-thought-out story!
If I eat potatos my brain will work the same 😂
Literally just finished watching The Martian, turned it off a minute ago and opened youtube to see this. Excellent timing!
"You have struggled a lot so we pray that you return to earth safely." No more wonderful words have ever been spoken by western audiences, so devout, so heartfelt and so earnest. I love these people and envy them their goodness...
ARRIVAL with Babu, Raeen, and Ruby would be an amazingly popular video if you could possibly make that happen.
Ruby is so bright
Ruby is amazing in this you can see her intelligence and understanding shine and her take on the movie was amazing
I had *just* searched a day ago to see if they'd seen this movie, yet. What perfect timing. Bravo!
Babu dancing toDonna Summers was priceless.
It’s cute that they don’t understand what’s happening but still get happy
I'd liké to thank all the people appearing on this channel its such a delight seeing their reactions each Time
Cheers from France dudes
I wish u all the best
And i'll keep watching every vidéo coming out Ur all so friggin awesome
Spécial thx to babu, stealing the show each Time, what a man, give him an award
Everything was going along fine for our Stranded Botanist, and then Ruby and Babu both stated that they hoped nothing untoward would happen and that S.B. would make it safely home. The very next thing that happens is our heroic, and ever so handsome, S.B. almost gets blown out into the void! Rule one of suspense or horror movies is that you NEVER, EVER say anything that even remotely smacks of "Hey, what else could go wrong?" energy!
This movie is trying so hard to save the main character's life, that it also manages to save Sean Bean's character's life.
A true feelgood movie. A middle finger of mankind to death and losing hope. And a celebration of not muscles and talking stupid, but of what the human brain, science, knowledge can achieve.
I love watching such wise people speaking about art like this.
Wow, you picked The Martian!! Great movie. This was a Ridley Scott film. Matt Damon was nominated for an Oscar in this movie.
I have never even heard of this movie. I'm so glad I'm watching it for the 1st time with you guys. Hi sister!❤❤😊 I wish we saw more of you but I'm thankful you are here now and doing well. Many blessings to you all out there 🙏 I love this channel!
Babus actually correct when he asked how a storm could possibly be there, since theres little to no atmosphere. The atmosphere is so thin that theres no way it would topple over a rocket. You could stand a nickle up on its side on a table and any "Storm" wouldnt even knock it over.
So happy to see Ruby back, if they like survival movies show them Cast Away
Oh, I wished so much for a reaction to this movie. I knew they would enjoy it. Had hoped a little that Raeen and Raju would watch it. Seeing Ruby react to it was a very pleasant surprise though. She's certainly someone who appreciates that kind of movie.
Castaway and Apollo 13 could be set on the list now, although The Martian basically is both movies turned into one ;)
Oh, and Iron Man! :)
I vote Iron Man !!
For Apollo 13 they should be told that actually happened. The story is less impressive than the Martian but of course the Martian is fictional. It's important they understand this difference or they won't appreciate this movie as much.
Castaway is a great one for Ruby and Babu to watch right after The Martian.
1:21 Mars has an atmosphere, so it also has weather. Wind, snow, clouds, dust storms etc.
Always lovely to have Ruby, and I love seeing which song Babu picks at the end!
nice to see Ruby representing the ladies
Wow. Ruby and her outfit looks absolutely stunning! So cool. Love it!
I appreciate that the host has the forethought to inform them that the film is fictional. In today's age of moviemaking, it's very easy for something fictional to be mistaken as real, and this is definitely one of those movies that I could see people mistaking for real.
I would gladly watch The Martian again with Raeen because I knows he loves the science movies.
The movie Hidden Figures tells the story of the women in NASA in the '60s that calculated the arithmetic with their genius minds. You might enjoy it. Thank you for sharing this. Peace, all 💕
The true events of the movie Apollo 13 would be an interesting reaction.
✌️❤️🇳🇿
I like what she took away from the movie. Never give up!
Never give up, Never surrender.... oops thats a different movie 🙂
They're so alien to our culture that there's a lot of stuff going on they just don't understand(to be fair, when it comes to space, even my close friends are not very knowledgeable and it saddens me. They didn't even know we're going back to the Moon next year, and then building a permanent base AND an orbiting space station for the Moon). Which is fine. Ruby is better at picking up and to comprehend the circumstances. She's intelligent, my kind of woman. Babu is like one of my friend, easily distracted and generally confused lol. Good soul.
I wonder what kind of dubbed or translation they're watching, because sometimes things are obvious to me but they get it wrong.
An often overlooked movie that deserves much praise.
Another great reaction with Babu and Ruby 😊
Everyone on this channel has been so great to watch a movie with. Kind hearted and pure of spirit. I love their genuine reactions and non biased exposure to these wonderful films. I'm looking forward to more! ❤
I've watched this movie and reactions to it many times. It is one of my favorite movies. I really enjoyed your reactions and perspective. Thank you.
Fun fact. The time it takes message to reach Mars from earth and vice versa is approximately 20 minutes each direction and that is at the speed of light.
These two are so good together she is super adorable he reminds me of my crazy funny uncle this a great channel I love it keep doing good work you guys God bless you
I want to watch movies with these guys, they really enjoy them.
I like the lady and the gentleman in this reaction. I also like the tall man very much. Good reactions, thank you.
Your channel is big enough now that I bet you guys could get a spot in line to have the cast ask a few questions to the astronauts that are on board the ISS! That would be an amazing video!!! I wonder what they would ask them up there?
Excellent movie! I loved their reactions. I look forward to watching this channel every day.
Ruby is definitely intelligent, but Babu was also pretty sharp for someone his age 😁
I can't take my eyes off Ruby. Brains and beauty in abundance.
Fun fact: Those storms are impossible on Mars, the atmosphere is too thin to be a challenge at all. It will however bury your solar panels with dust...
The Space Pirate bit!
My Dad has often called me a potato brain but I don't think he meant it like Babu would.
I agree, watching Ruby reacting to this video is wonderful, as is she. Is she related to Babu, and if so how? More of Ruby and other female villages please.
Please have them watch Slumdog Millionaire!!! It's a story that is extremely inspirational to just about anyone, but would speak so much more to the guys on the channel. It's a Hollywood movie, but it takes place in India. The story of an extremely poor boy who overcomes incredible challenges, this movie shows harsh realities, as well as amazing positive twists of fate in his favor. They even gave respect to Bollywood by including song and dance, and really tried to showcase Indian culture in a really beautiful way. I saw it in the theater and was absolutely blown away!
I must say also that I really love how beautiful the women dress. The women are timelessly beautiful.
Do they know it takes 20 minutes for a signal to reach Mars from earth and the same back again.
Any 16x magnification will let you see the moon in such clarity you can draw detailed maps, the same as the very first ones.
Thanks 😊 have wonderful days!
Martian is a great outer space movie.
Such beautiful women in this culture and the wardrobe compliments their beauty... ❤
The dust storm scenes are unreal, as the atmosphere density is very low and even a 200 mph sand storm would only move up so little amounts of dust and barely feelable.
"I'm going to have to science the sh*t outta this." I love that line.😂It's a great movie, I was excited to see it. I was like I can't wait to see the looks on their faces at NASA when they become aware Dr. Mark Watney is alive and doing ok on Mars! lol. I've always been fascinated by Mars. Ever since my Dad gave me my first telescope as a kid. I'd stare at Mars a lot, envisioning the cold dusty environment, wanting to be there looking across the rusty desert, seeing the rocky landscapes and the huge valleys and hills. I love it when Babu prays, it's so endearing. And Ruby is a very beautiful person, in every way. I thought both Ruby and Babu's analysis of the movie was brilliant. Babu jiving to "Hot Stuff"... that made my day lol. Babu criticizing himself, I must disagree. He is wise, a talented singer and a very caring man who I have great respect for. I love these people, they're so charming.👍💖🙏
The book this was based on is very accurate in the science. The only fudging the author did was with the storm. the atmosphere on Mars is so thin that there is no way a storm could be that powerful.
I'm surprised Babu didn't react more to the LOTR reference
Now watch “Gravity”, very heavy with the gravy on the emotion.
the secret meeting scene is funny because Sean Bean was in Lord of the Rings.
They should watch Total Recall now.
Yeah the original one
Babu Bhai and Ruby are such and iconic duo. They have an innocence together that is only sharpened by her wit. She takes Babu's wisdom and displays it in a way that is accessible. I understand that film is an easy way t evoke emotion. However, I hope that this channel can find a way to show that in situations where they are learning and growing. The algorithm does not show me those videos often. However, I make a point to seek them out and watch them as much as possible. The thing I want to see most is their reaction to cutting edge farming practices (regenerative agriculture.)
Great video again. Is Babu getting enough sleep with all the movies he has been watching?
Although it's fake metallic storms like in this are real. Absolutely terrifying.
I have to make use of the daylight.(I know they will understand that) But as soon as the sun goes down I am watching every minute of this with them!!!!😊
I very much enjoyed this reaction.
Another great one!
For more space movies which usually are great Id recomand: Moon, Armageddon, Life and Event horizon
Fifth Element and Blade Runner would be good. I think Ghost would go down well, too.
Good choice. The Revenant would be a good one too.
Yes!
Suggestion: "Gravity"
I love that they enjoyed this movie so much. I’m looking forward to the next Harry Potter movie
Great Job 👍
Victory and Defeat will kiss your feet!
She looks like smart.
I like the fact he says Mars is thousands of kilometers away :P Its 401 million km away from earth XD Really puts stuff into perspective
You must show Babu n the lads Total Recall ! As thy are fans of Arnie from the film predator They liked Arnie n never stopped talking about his big muscles 😂👍
Great movie and fun watching it with them 🎉
Up till now seeing your reaction of this movie , I have not seen this movie yet my self . Does look like a good movie though , loved your reaction to it .
It'd be cool if they reacted to Doctor Who, but it would probably be way too complicated to decide where to start and what backstory to tell beforehand
OH NO!!! RAEEN??? Of all our friends RAEEN would have come up with smart remarks!!!
Is that the tall gentleman?
@@the98themperoroftheholybri33 no it's the buff one with a slight beard. The tall gentleman's name is Badshah
Rose was amazing!!!!
Hello, I greet you from Spain, I recommend you watch "Life is Beautiful" and "ALIVE", they are very good films.
I have only seen "Life is Beautiful", great movie!
I would recommend the 1966 film Fantastic Voyage.
