My super slim bricked when I tried updating it a while back (they have a tendency to do that because of the wifi/bluetooth module) but the PS3 remains unbeaten by any of its successors, it's still a great console, with great design and amazing games. There's also a project in progress to revive PS Home called Destination Home and will be playable on original hardware as well as emulator, which might interest many people since it was a big thing for many PS3 players back then.
@@Electro096 no exactly same, ps2 and vita are pretty simple but especially vita with some hoops when downloading everything else needed but modding the PS3 is too much for most people
Both my cfw slims been alive for years and i exploited back in the day using e3 flasher good cleaning and repaste quiet and runs like new with over 100 games
Bro that hurts you were affected by the Sony movie bs I love my hacked ps3 I got banned on mine a while ago wilding with the hacks online but it works great still
The process is extremely annoying but once you get the hang of it get's easier. Did you encrypt and decrypt with Apollo save tool? Also sometimes the work better if you just convert them into a Ps2 classic GUI pkg. Just make sure you have the right .config files. BTW I highly recommend going on Reddit to find steps and also PS3HACKS.COM
I love the look of the Slim especially the model with the led’s on the power button. However the superslim is less likely to fail but the con of that is the superslim is ugly as hell and cheap looking
The slim is my favorite design by far, however it’s hit or miss because of reliability. I’d rather have the ps3 SS ugly looks and reliability, than the ps3 slim unreliability and good looks
How did you get a Super Slim to work? From what I was understanding the SS is firmware locked. Just got a 4000 series Super Slim and thinking about homebrew
How do the PS2 games work? I have a lot of frame rate drops on GTA san andreas on my PS3 slim. I run the iso through webman. Do you use ps2 classics pkg files or straight up ISOs?
I've used both Iso and PkG. For Gta Sa I downloaded the Kaizo ps3 mod menu version and I have that on ISO. Some games run slower as Iso for some reason. Maybe has something to do with the config files, I would try another source for files.

I bought a Super Slim PS3 and a Slim PS3. The Slim console is easy to use as it has CFW so ISOs can be loaded easily without any conversion.
Never modded any of my PS3s but PSP and PS2 is a mandatory to preserve your physical collection as well as the console.

Oh Yeah I soft modded my PS2 and PS Vita, I watched a video on doing the modding thing for PS3 and I thought this is pretty complicated

I’ve had the SS since 2015. I had no issues with jailbreaking it was easy. I watched other RUclipsrs do it check out Mr. Mario, and Reddit/Ps3hacks
