How to Transfer Photos from iCloud to Your Computer 2024

This tutorial will work for any kind of computer, including PC and Mac.
To transfer your iCloud photos and videos to your computer, open your preferred browser and go to icloud.com. Then sign into your Apple ID account. Select Photos. Now you can select which photos and/or videos you want to download. You can click an individual image to select it, or hold down the control key and click to select multiple photos. You can also hit control and A on your keyboard to select all. Once you’ve selected all the images you want to download to your computer, click the download icon in the top right corner. The images will be downloaded and saved to your downloads folder. If you’ve downloaded multiple images, they may be in a zipped file. Just double click the file to unzip them and access all the individual files.

Am I wrong or did the dates on my pics change?? I did a group (so compressed to PC) the dates on the files inside the zip are today and then after unzipping (uncompress) the create and modify dates are the same?? How can I see the created date (when the pic was taken) -Like dec 24 2022 Not today? Is this typical for PC compression - or am I not looking correctly?
