Flames of Resentment is the odd man out it's not very much like HF IMO but still I think it's not supposed to be an orientation of good and bad routes but developments of specific characters.
What you call normal imo is the best ending and best at being "good". Though the "bad" is the game's traditional "true" ending, both in requiring to be new game + to get, and its intended "Feel deep/imo over the top" Samurai ending. (Though who knows maybe they did just want 1 last ending for assuming you have beaten it a ton and done and ton and now its time for a true farewell to character).
Something I noticed about the bad ending that does not add up is....Did Iori ever use his command spells to make Saber free? if he didn't, it makes this fight less Serious than it makes itself to be...I mean of course he still can choose not to use them for the sake of his Honor as his Master, however, i just think it would have been nice for that to happen
I think he simply forget the existence of command spell, master, servant or the war itself. He only focus to beat Saber, nothing else in his mind at that very moment, just a thirst to test his sword skill against swordsman who's better than him.
It actually explains that he wanted to fight to the death with Saber since they killed the Snake God So he wouldn't use it even if could, also Rider had to be stopped by using 3 commands seals and even then she did not stop, so the servants can also resist the command seals
High magic resistance is enough to reject commands to a certain extent...but in the first place he was trying to fight Saber to the death here, and the death of the master would free the servant either way. Not that they'd live long afterwards.
@@centurionzo1228rider was different. yui’s commands were misinterpreted by her since she had madness enhancement EX that made coming to a logical agreement with her impossible. Also, if Iori wanted to, he could have made Takeru kill himself. We see in other fate that A rank magic resistance can barely resist a command spell, it would have weakened Takeru considerably.
I just got the normal ending I guess… Edit: …to be honest I would consider “Snake” ending the better of the three. People actually survive in that one…
@@centurionzo1228 what even happened that would get the world to stagnant in the first place. Think of it like file on a computer(planet) old(not progressing) or corrupted(dead) files are deleted to save space.
True ending is actually the first one. Iori suppresses his urge to quickly end the Ritual just by the way of the sword. And goes to save a girl who is about to kill herself to stop her mad servant. Second ending is the bad ending, without a doubt. Everyone dies. But nobody regrets it. Except for one little sister who finds her beloved older brother lying dead in the pool of his own blood. With the smile on his face. Third ending is also a bad ending. Chiemon kills Joan and turns himself into a hell incarnate. There is nothing true about it.
@@Grimtale Second ending makes you think. Musashi (male one) states to Iori, his apprentice. There are two ways lies open before you. The Way of Peace. And the Way of the Sword. The soul of Iori is gentle and caring. He can follow the Way of Peace and be happy. But Iori is also enchanted by the bladework of another person and seeks to surpass it, henceforce is driven to the Way of the Sword. It is a choice for him. Not a blind fate. And second ending is a bad choice, albeit very interesting gameplay-wise.
@@Grimtale Because If Iori follows his own desires he truly becomes a sword demon. But he is not like that. His heart is gentle and ready to defend others. If a man like this follows the dark path - this is always a bad ending.
I wouldn't say it's the best Fate game I've played, but what really disappointed me are the endings, they don't feel complete, they don't feel conclusive and in two there isn't even a farewell to Saber, she/he simply disappears off camera. None of the endings are anywhere near as emotional as the ending of Fate/Extra for example, a shame because there's a lot of wasted potential in this game. If I have to stick with one, I'll stick with the joke ending, at least it made me smile.
so in bad ending he end up become sword demon like Shimosa Munenori but hey ...not only power and skill...you need some deed to be recorded in ToH.....so somthing like "Swordman that win the war and becoem sword demon only to put down by his servant" sound acceptable for heroic spirit backstory...sound like perfect ending instead of bad ending
Hey gamersprey i want to correct you on something. 1. The 'normal ending' that you show is actually normal ending 2 2. The 'bad ending' is actually THE true/secret ending 3. And your 'true ending' is just the normal ending 1. Please stop misleading people with your lies, i'm sick of it.
yeah just because iori died on entreat the darkness doesnt mean it's a bad ending, if anything the one that has more requirements spells like a true ending to me, considering it solves caster, zheng, chiemon, jeanne, and even yui's fate in one ending
Hear me out, the old man telling the story at the beginning, to be honest, I'd say there could be a dlc ending they have in the works that will cap off with the old man turning out to be traveling vagrant Iori.
True ending is Yamato disarms iori and tells him you don't have to kill to achieve blade style he wanted also it nice show iori will never stand chance against a servant lol just cut his hands
Standard ending is beating the first run. True and bad ending is on second run when a decision is made at the end. You can save to change your choice. Secret ending is doing all of Boss descresions.
It truly pains me to see Jeanne in "that" state. And of course with the mention of Saber's "wife". Hehe, goodness gracious, sneaky bastards, just search it in the internet 😂 *The King Arthur of Japan 😅*
1. A Ray Of Light = Saber's Ending The good ending very akin to the fate route (must protect Yui) 2. Entreat The Darkness = Iori's Ending The true ending (and the best one imo), obtainable only in NG+ and foreshadowed by both Musashis throught the game 3. Flames of Resentment = Chiemon's Ending The bad ending
The Secret Ending(If that's what it's really called) is even worse than the Bad ending, mainly because of the fact that Iori quits his journey to go serve Boss and the fact that even Saber tags along makes it even worse.
she has a short lifespan since the beginnin rat route (chiemon final boss): she was taken by dorothea's men, presumably dies shortly after snake route (dragon final boss): dies just like in the video third ending (saber final boss): taken by dorothea's men and presumably dies shortly after, but if you took the snake route beforehand yui will witness their fight and commented about iori's true nature

Just finished all the ending, with the "bad" ending being the last one and yea, I think it is the true end. It is the payoff for Iori's character. It's the ending that feels the most climactic and is the perfect closure for this game.

@@tmkai607 And yet there wouldn't be a reason to have a season pass then, I am going to call it now, there will be a DLC Finale/True Ending route by the end of the DLCs. Reminder that Iori is two aspects to him, the man and the "Sword Saint". Kaya's part in all the endings is surprisingly bare despite all that is revealed to us. Note the charm on Iori's katana, that is a charm given to him by Kaya, no?
Like there are missing factors in all of this, and Iori has always had a duality to him, we have gotten his bad ending where he succumbs to the monster/demon within him. The same demon, that claimed Musashi's life, however, this demon isn't all Iori is, there are subtle hints in the story as well that just as much as there is demon within him. There is also the man who does want to defend the sanctity of the peace time and the people who live in it. Kaya being one such person, and the other part of this puzzle that has yet to truly be completed. The man was the one that used a command spell with the sole intent of attempting to protect lives that would have been caught in the wake of saber's NP. He is not as clear cut as the Bad Ending seems to paint him as, which mirrors a lot of PHH Musashi's inner monologue in shimosa.

As tragic as it is, i feel the bad ending is the true ending. The only one i feel has an actual conclusion. But at the same time, i can understand the ambiguity of both the normal and true ending. It's an ending of a chapter in their lives their story still continues.
The Caster ending is honestly the best one though Chiemon & Jalter both get shafted The Chiemon ending is okay but feels incomplete also the Waxing Moon Monster is very badly designed gameplay wise for a final boss The NG+ ending is super disappointing & shouldn't have been locked behind NG+ (if it was obtainable in the normal story I wouldn't have a problem with it, I'm especially annoyed with it because I spent the entire day trying to get it only to be pretty letdown) (Also not a fan of no free roam after beating the story & being forced into a NG+ if I wanna load a file with a finished story, hope that gets changed in an update also hoping Ushi Gozen & Gilgamesh are made playable in dlc)
I got true ending just now finishing my first play through. It felt like it ended a bit abruptly. Do y’all suggest I play through again and try to get the others? Also do y’all have the specific tips for how to achieve each?
Video is mislabeled. There isn't really a "true" ending. There's two normal endings and a secret ending. The secret ending is definitely the most satisfying, so I'd recommend it. The two normal endings come from the choice to after caster or assassin. Go after caster > flames of resentment ending. go after assassin > ray of light ending. For the secret ending, in new game plus, from *either* other ending, there's a choice for whether or not to destroy the grail. If you choose not to destroy the grail, you get the secret ending. Also, there's a joke ending if you agree to work for boss several times in a row.

Ima be honest i didnt really like the endings. In the caster ending we beat them and then get a scene with zheng and coyeyt talking about meeting again (probably when zheng invades and takes taiwan from the dutch) and then a scene where yui wakes up. We dont learn what happens with yui or with iori. We dont say goodbye with saber. Hell rberserkers death was more emotional than the normal ending. In the bad ending, while interesting and full iori just kinda does a 180 and becomes a total asshole. Yes it was hinted at the whole game but i feel like we missed a couple chapters of iori becoming step by step more bloodthirsty. In the third ending the boss is dogshit. Ending 1 has me fighting my former friend, a caster that can see into the future and has a reality marble and literally the elden beast from elden ring. Ending 2 has me fighting my servant. Ending 3 is just a large zombie. And even if we skip the dogshit gameplay iori just gets his sister and goes home. Again why the fuck cant we say goodbye to saber. And its not like they didnt think of how to write that. We say goodbye in the bad ending and its actually a very nice scene
oh man i have alot to say about how bad the zombie boss is takes goddamn forever and it cant even hit you if it wanted to at lvl 70 with void and maxed skill trees the zombie takes like 30 minutes it has way too much hp.
The endings was pretty bed. Just got the Ray of light, and was pisses on How couple we didnt get any closure att all tô any character besides zheng and Dorothea. We dont even know if yui made It out Alive or not.
I think the 2 good endings were meant to be lacking because of iori giving up his desire for peace as his sword is unsated in both endings as being unsated we never get any for closure to everything while in the bad ending where iori died his blade became sated as he died it give a for closure to everything his personality, desires and the people around him ... he was trully born in the wrong era ...
@@najumikek Reminder that they will likely add a dlc finale ending, that addresses the monster within and man outside. Cause his personality/desires are always in a tug of war with the duality he has. BOTH are Iori, not one or the other, I feel like they will have a dlc ending where he has to face his own inner monster to bring closure to himself without looking for a way to die. All three suffer from aspects being left out, crucial aspects I might add. I will thus label them as such, Chiemon Route, Saber Route, and Selfish/Monster Iori Route. I could see that Old Man at the very beginning being an Aged Iori retelling his history in the third person. IMHO it's also a route that could stay true to Iori's duality, always feeling like he never belonged within society, but felt more at ease traveling.
each ending has very limited explanation, saber just suddenly dissappear in both good and true, lancer not even seen in Yui ending, also is Yui dead in her ending?? what happen to the rest in bad ending? also even if we choose good or true, there always sentence saying that Iori is still not satisfied or something, implying that bad ending is the canon one, not to mention I think The FGO collab now using Iori bad ending

Well I'd considered Chiemon the true ending cause it addresses the 15th Servant aspect of the whole thing while the rest divert from this.
Normal ending is like true ending.
It actually explains that he wanted to fight to the death with Saber since they killed the Snake God
So he wouldn't use it even if could, also Rider had to be stopped by using 3 commands seals and even then she did not stop, so the servants can also resist the command seals
Nah Iori WANTED a fair fight to the death and to got at Saber while they're going all out. Using the Command Spells would have defeated that purpose.
I just got the normal ending I guess…
Edit: …to be honest I would consider “Snake” ending the better of the three. People actually survive in that one…
Is the rat ending people survive huh?

Ah yes, it wouldn't be a Fate game (GO doesn't count) if there's no ending where the protag isn't fighting his/her servant.
what about fate extella series??
i only play extra but it doesn't seems hakuno would fought nero/tamamo/archer
@@harjunaprasta7988 Difference in there is that, Hakuno isn't a capable fighter unlike Shirou and others.
Yeah, it’s funny. It won’t be a fate game unless it had multiple endings. I wonder what the DLC’s will be about
True ending is actually the first one.
I dont think second ending is bad since Iori got life he wanted.
And second ending is a bad choice, albeit very interesting gameplay-wise.
how can you decide if it is bad choice? He got what he wanted it is not bad choice neither for him nor for us@@Stellarheim
@@Grimtale Because If Iori follows his own desires he truly becomes a sword demon. But he is not like that. His heart is gentle and ready to defend others. If a man like this follows the dark path - this is always a bad ending.
@@StellarheimYO. He stated himself that his gentle nature is mostly a facade he uses to gain advantage, another part of his pursuit of the sword.
Secret ending is best!
If I have to stick with one, I'll stick with the joke ending, at least it made me smile.
there's always dlc pass.
so in bad ending he end up become sword demon like Shimosa Munenori
but hey ...not only power and skill...you need some deed to be recorded in ToH.....so somthing like "Swordman that win the war and becoem sword demon only to put down by his servant" sound acceptable for heroic spirit backstory...sound like perfect ending instead of bad ending
“Miyamoto iori… you were… you were my only…” only what? Somebody let me know please

Thanks for recording and posting this !
Tamamo Aria support skill really make this game a lot more easier for me. Her buff is nuts
Hey gamersprey i want to correct you on something.
1. The 'normal ending' that you show is actually normal ending 2
2. The 'bad ending' is actually THE true/secret ending
3. And your 'true ending' is just the normal ending 1.
Please stop misleading people with your lies, i'm sick of it.
yeah
just because iori died on entreat the darkness doesnt mean it's a bad ending, if anything the one that has more requirements spells like a true ending to me, considering it solves caster, zheng, chiemon, jeanne, and even yui's fate in one ending
None of them are true. They are all just different routes. Can't really say that I liked any of them though.
And even then that is up to what we will be getting with the dlc which I confidently predict will come with new endings as well.
I can't believe I'm typing this, but I'm kinda hoping that the bad ending is the canon end.
Is alter Jeanne can be played or only boss ?
She's playable
Thanks for the videos, I was looking for the true ending.
What are the requirements for each ending? Wanna be prepared once i get the game to get them in the best order possible
Standard ending is beating the first run.
True and bad ending is on second run when a decision is made at the end. You can save to change your choice.
Secret ending is doing all of Boss descresions.
It truly pains me to see Jeanne in "that" state.
And of course with the mention of Saber's "wife".

World conqueror....walk along side with Gilgamesh is the best ending!!! I will definitely choose this if I were Iori :)
1.
A Ray Of Light = Saber's Ending
The good ending very akin to the fate route (must protect Yui)
2.
Entreat The Darkness = Iori's Ending
The true ending (and the best one imo), obtainable only in NG+ and foreshadowed by both Musashis throught the game
3.
Flames of Resentment = Chiemon's Ending
The bad ending
The Secret Ending(If that's what it's really called) is even worse than the Bad ending, mainly because of the fact that Iori quits his journey to go serve Boss and the fact that even Saber tags along makes it even worse.
The secret ending is simply the joke ending, it's not to be taken seriously whatsoever.
I wanna ask, what happens to Shousetsu if you choose the True/Bad endings? She just disappear?
in flames of resentment which i refuse to accept is the true ending she just gets basically taken by dorothea's men.

Just finished all the ending, with the "bad" ending being the last one and yea, I think it is the true end. It is the payoff for Iori's character. It's the ending that feels the most climactic and is the perfect closure for this game.
Well I'd considered Chiemon the true ending cause it addresses the 15th Servant aspect of the whole thing while the rest divert from this. While also addressing the duality of forces going on with Iori, the man and the monster. Iori has always had this duality going on with his character. However, I think the one where he ends up putting aside his monster to protect Kaya more fitting.
Flames of resenment (chiemon) is the true ending
@@zaber25 The other endings reveals more lore and info, true, but those endings always felt like something was still missing. Even during the after credits of those endings, it says his blade is not satisfied. But in the Entreat the Darkness ending, Saber says it is the only choice he could choose, and it also wraps up his arc of how he was born in the wrong era. It feels like it is meant to be served as the final piece of the story and wraps it up
@@tmkai607 And yet there wouldn't be a reason to have a season pass then, I am going to call it now, there will be a DLC Finale/True Ending route by the end of the DLCs.
Ending depends on choices what I have made? To see all endings, 3 times new play is needed?
You get the first ending on first run. 2nd and 3rd ending is on the 2nd run, you get a choice near the end of it. No need to play 3 times.
@@GamersPreythanks for the reply! 2nd and 3rd ending will happen in NG+ and by save before choice, I can see both?

they are giving wrong advice on first playthrough you can get both normal endings and the joke ending so you know what they incorrectly labled as true ending is just normal ending 1 and the one as normal ending is just normal ending 2 both can be obtained first playthrough the " bad ending " is ng plus locked and considered the true ending.@@soodongk
As tragic as it is, i feel the bad ending is the true ending. The only one i feel has an actual conclusion. But at the same time, i can understand the ambiguity of both the normal and true ending. It's an ending of a chapter in their lives their story still continues.
The Caster ending is honestly the best one though Chiemon & Jalter both get shafted
The Chiemon ending is okay but feels incomplete also the Waxing Moon Monster is very badly designed gameplay wise for a final boss
The NG+ ending is super disappointing & shouldn't have been locked behind NG+ (if it was obtainable in the normal story I wouldn't have a problem with it, I'm especially annoyed with it because I spent the entire day trying to get it only to be pretty letdown)
(Also not a fan of no free roam after beating the story & being forced into a NG+ if I wanna load a file with a finished story, hope that gets changed in an update also hoping Ushi Gozen & Gilgamesh are made playable in dlc)
I got normal and was dissapointed too. They put no budget on the ending 😂
How do you get each ending ? Also can you continue playing after the ending like a Premium adventure mode or do you have to start a new playthrough to do all the side activities and stuff like that ?
Normal ending is on the first playthrough. Bad and true ending on the 2nd, determined by a choice near the end
so you gotta do everything again😅

@@TheMuatafarshe is dead her page info tell you after beating the game
