Let me know how you get on...I love it, if I had planned it and make the walls without the tanking and the rostered effect. I probably would have too.

Nice Idea, will be interesting to see how it holds up over time. We are going to do something very similar with ours but using Fibreglass. How did it do going over the tanking?
It went over no problem. Because I had to take a break from the build... I sanded it lightly and went over it with another few thin coats just for extra insurance. Didn't need to, but has the spare paint so thought why not.
I'm just wondering how is this all holding up? I'm fed up with my old plastic shower tray with countless cracks, i meed something new, lasting

Hi, one bottle managed more than enough for that shower tray. Shower tray measure 900mm * x 650mm ... hope that helps
quick question, did you add any slope to the floor at all or was it just flat?
Hi, did it flat by slightly recessed the hole. The van will never be completely level so it would be a window scraper to get the final bits up anyway I thought...
Interested in how you made the tray out of ply - did you stick plastic to the sides?

12mm ply sheet cut to size. Timber betons for the walls. Drilled into the ply (with pocket jig). Before drilling, sealed with soudal fixall.
I added more timber to the walls to make a deeper tray...

How is this holding up still, any problems ie cracking, damp anywhere etc? TIA

Hi, I tanked the walls using a tanking kit. I then painted part way up with raptor paint.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Ermmm, well I took a break from the build because of things. So as a shower, no use. But there are no cracks or any signs of problems so far being used to drive and store things etc.

Not been used yet. Only just painted it Wednesday. Will need to fit panels yet...
