When you were painting the shower tray you left each coat to dry before the next coat but if the paint is mixed with the hardener doesn't the paint go off in the bottle due to length of time it takes until each coat dries?
That looks the dog’s dangler’s dude ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️👍really inspired me to do mine now. But not just yet. I have an old worn discoloured shower tray in my motor home. And rather than paying a small fortune out for another tray. Plus the work involved to replace it😉😉👍yeah great video. Oh and yep you got me 😂 I’m a newbie subscriber 😜😁👍☮️great thanks buddy 👍
Nice Idea, will be interesting to see how it holds up over time. We are going to do something very similar with ours but using Fibreglass. How did it do going over the tanking?
It went over no problem. Because I had to take a break from the build... I sanded it lightly and went over it with another few thin coats just for extra insurance. Didn't need to, but has the spare paint so thought why not.
I am looking at painting my shower room 1, shower tray 2, wall panels & the ceiling How mutch paint did you use to do your tray to give me an idea of how mutch I will need? Thanks
@@sprintercraftercampervanco8463 think I’m going to do it then as I think it’s different. Think I’m going to build my shower etc first and then do a respray. Hit the shower same day then
12mm ply sheet cut to size. Timber betons for the walls. Drilled into the ply (with pocket jig). Before drilling, sealed with soudal fixall. I added more timber to the walls to make a deeper tray...
Hi, did it flat by slightly recessed the hole. The van will never be completely level so it would be a window scraper to get the final bits up anyway I thought...
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Ermmm, well I took a break from the build because of things. So as a shower, no use. But there are no cracks or any signs of problems so far being used to drive and store things etc.

great idea I'm sure that will be none slip
just stumbled upon your video - am planning to do exactly the same thing - I'm going to do the shower walls and door too
Let me know how you get on...I love it, if I had planned it and make the walls without the tanking and the rostered effect. I probably would have too.
Just seen this what paint did you order? They have so many
Really useful vid this, thanks a lot mate
No problem at all. Look at the shower door I have fitted. Walls going up soon.
Great idea 💡 will be using myself 😂
Pretty good idea for waterproofing.
How is your raptor shower floor holding up? How non slip is it?

Would you give me a run down of what you used, been on website but not sure what stuff to buy, thanks
Sorry I’ve worked it out from your video, going to try this
I'm just wondering how is this all holding up? I'm fed up with my old plastic shower tray with countless cracks, i meed something new, lasting
@@fpvshenanigans hi, it's holding up well. If I'm honest, I don't shower in it as much as I thought I would...new video soon
Hey there, where did you get your shower tray?
I built it myself...
I am looking at painting my shower room 1, shower tray 2, wall panels & the ceiling

Hi, one bottle managed more than enough for that shower tray. Shower tray measure 900mm * x 650mm ... hope that helps
How’s it holding up mate? Thought of it myself for a shower
It's hard wearing mate. No probs yet....

Interested in how you made the tray out of ply - did you stick plastic to the sides?

@@sprintercraftercampervanco8463 great thanks - so then just raptor onto the primed ply?
@@patrickolner6198 yes mate, sanded it down to key it up with 120 grit paper....
How is this holding up still, any problems ie cracking, damp anywhere etc? TIA
quick question, did you add any slope to the floor at all or was it just flat?
Hi, did it flat by slightly recessed the hole. The van will never be completely level so it would be a window scraper to get the final bits up anyway I thought...
Did you paint the shower walls also
Hi, I tanked the walls using a tanking kit. I then painted part way up with raptor paint.
How is it now ? Did it work?

How has it been with usage?
Not been used yet. Only just painted it Wednesday. Will need to fit panels yet...
