HI, im just about to replace our faulty Dometic CRX50 with one of these. Assume rewiring it will be a straight unplug positive and negative and reconnect the new fridge? I have 12v with 240v hookup...

Have you tried running this without the freezer compartment inside? On mine the Freezer temperature display still operates and fluctuates between negative and positive figures which strikes me as being odd.

Fitted the near side in the same fashion and really struggled to force it in. So on the other side I slid the top end in first then just pushed it up along the seam on the other side, perfectly slotted in. So no need to twist or force it to fit. Hope this helps others. Because if it's forced there is a high chance of it splitting, because my first try did.

Nice Idea, will be interesting to see how it holds up over time. We are going to do something very similar with ours but using Fibreglass. How did it do going over the tanking?
