Wait what?
Mexican in my blood 🇲🇽 🩸
America is forever in my heart❤️💙🤍 I love the mexican culture that has been given to me no doubt at all but I will forever be grateful to be born in U.S soil that provided me everything since birth! God bless America 🇺🇸

I think at this point its on the players best interest because we don't show the real truth behind this narrative that most media places on these players. Some players played for the youth side of the national teams and its a huge difference when you speak on this. SO at the end of the day they have to pick what's best for them to keep playing year round at high levels. Pepi is a great! but in no way will he compete with Raul Jimenez for a starting job its that simple, so what does he do? he picks what's his best option for his game to keep evolving. Same with players who are not Mexican American. Same thing with Alex Roldan. such an amazon player for Seattle but the guys on the USMNT are loaded in his spot, so he must pick El Salvador to keep playing. All these guys want to do is play the sport they love they just happen to be lucky to have two options. Media makes up the rivalry they are just living their lives to enjoy their success.
Mexican America born and raised with the Mexican culture and I love it but born In the US 🇺🇸 and Proud to represent always!
It is sure a beautiful thing to be Mexican American!
Ahuevo!
I’m not Mexican, not even by heritage, and being of Latino decent I still can’t relate to Mexican heritage. I am 💯 American and I am passionate about supporting our USMNT fanatically 🇺🇸. This rivalry is an amazing contribution to The beautiful game ⚽️.
Omar Gonzales's club team, 88 Dallas Texans, were full of rich white kids, so I understand what he's saying. Glad he picked the US

I was Born in the US but I was raised very close to my Mexican culture. My parents were fortunate enough to become US citizens and were able to take me down to Mexico where my parents were raised. I got to see, feel and experience the roots where my family came from. That itself stained my Mexican pride for everything I stood for. However, I am 23 now and I find the current USMNT growing on me. This sense of pride of having an American soccer team represent my generation is awesome. It feels weird to say it but I’d never thought I would root for the USMNT because growing up I was always against them Vs Mexico 🇲🇽
Mexico is still my #1 but who knows that might change down the road.
It should not matter what country you are born in. It should be the country that provided your family, and you the opportunity of a better life. In my opinion that is where your allegiance should be. It just bother me that Mexicans come to this country for that better life, then tell their kids how great Mexico if we’ll if it is so great then stay over there.
I proud of being American. But when it comes to soccer it's Mexico all day! ¡Viva Mexico cabrones!
Great match
support the nation that gave you and your family the foundation and opportunity to prosper. USA
I think I'm good I'll go for mexico 👍👍
Amen bro, never turn your back on the country that gave you everything.
@Ignacio Juárez Viva mexico! 🇲🇽
@Ignacio Juárez I appreciate my blood and culture, but ultimately this country is what has given me and my family everything. This is where I grew up, made all my friends, get my education, and where my entire life will reside. My family fled their nations to have the opportunity to have a better one here for themselves and for me and my siblings. Growing up, it seemed like it was an issue supporting the US rather than Mexico, which is why Ive supported the usmnt and always will
@Ignacio Juárez root for who? I root for the people who represent this country
damn I used to think Omar was goofy but he was awesome in this vid.
In 2021, the USMNT beat El Tri three times, but all three on U.S. soil (Nation's League final in Colorado, Gold Cup final in Las Vegas, World Cup qualifying reverse fixture in Cincinnati). Tomorrow's match is the one that will legitimize the Stars and Stripes' standing in CONCACAF.
"all 3 on US soil" lol. I'd say 2 of those games had 80% Mexican crowd.
@@Senaleb who said crap about the crowd he’s talking about the home ground
@@martingoatwaite7324 lmaooo and why exactly is he just bringing up home ground??? He obviously tried to make it sound like USA had the home advantage when in reality, mexico felt at home with 2 matches 😂😂
@@luis6633 Because we feel at home wherever we go, and we bring a over a century's worth of love for the beautiful game wherever we are on the planet, unlike some of our neighbors in the region who just discovered "soccer" existed in the 1990s.

Born in Guadalajara Jalisco... Raised in the USA.. been here my whole life since 2.. not by choice but I'm proud of this country and proud to be here now..but I will always be with mexico.. it's just me.. regardless of whom they want me to be out there . Nothing but respect to both great nations

The Mrs is Mexican and naturally her family favors Mexico, but they do not hate the US. As for the rivalry, it is nothing like Yankees/Red Sox or Ohio State/Michigan those two are pure hatred.
fun fact William Yarborough born in Mexico to American parents is the only american mexican to play for the US
Julian Aruajo and David Ochoa were smart to jump ship to Mexico. They were pretty low in the US depth chart and have a much better chance of getting on the field for Mexico. However, both played the victim on the way out. Just own your decision either way.
USNMT always calls up Chicanos for qualifiers but gives them the boot when going to the world cup.
Had I been good enough I would have a had 3 national teams to choose from. Italy, US, or Guatemala. I feel less hispanic because I'm half and I'm a light skin compared to my siblings so Guatemala would never have been on the table. Frankly, when the last time you heard Guatemala was good at soccer. As a kid I rooted for the US. When I got to high school I wanted to be different so I started to embrace my Italian heritage that I have from my grandfather who was born there. Now I'm 24. If you ask me who I root for. I choose Italy everyday. But I support US soccer as well because thats what I was raised thru
I feel less hispanic? THATS BECAUSE UR FATHER ISNT HISPANIC. AND UR MOM IS GUATEMALAN.. TRUST ME. I KNOW UR DAD IS NOT HISPANIC/ LATINO. BECAUSE HISPANIC/ LATINO MEN DONT DATE OUT.
IM HALF AND IM A LIGHT SKIN COMPARE TO.MY SIBLINGS?? U SOUND LIKE AMERICAN. ALWAYS TALKING ABOUT SKIN COLOR.
You have one grandfather who’s Italian? That makes you 1/8 Italian. You really see yourself as Italian? even rooting for them? That’s crazy, but free country. If your half Hispanic, it sounds like your half Guatemalan? That would be your heritage, 50% is significant. Guatemalan is off the table because you have light skin compared to siblings? Wtf lol. Plenty of light skin Hispanics bro.
Y este random?
¡Viva Estadios Unidos cabrones!

it is actually Mexico vs the whole CONCACAF
literally every national team from the Area claim to have a rivalry vs Mexico
the difference is that the US has a massive amount of coverage that overhypes their games vs Mexico
in a 100 years
the US has never won an official game IN mexico, how the hell is it a rivalry when you have only won at home but also lost at home and away, Honduras and Costa Rica HAVE ACTUALLY WON IN MEXICO CITY and taken the 3 points out.
I KNOW, USA IS VERY OBESSED WITH MEXICO. ITS INSANE.

Yeah tbh Mexico is hated by almost every CONCACAF team. Even the refs make some weird decisions against Mexico.
I guess this depends on what side of the isle you are on. The thing is, we feel exactly the same way about Mexico. I think it is the rivalry of things. Mexicans can say, es pura envidia, and we say, they just talk down to all central american countries. Y que son muy creidos. so, both sides see how we want to see things. but the truth is, that Mexicans have lots more pride than any other country. So much, that you can be 5th generation in US and believe you are still Mexican. This to us makes no sense as lots of latinos are probably are 5th generation from some place in europe but not believe ourselves to be from any other country than from the one we are born at.
@@alkyr9946 Is because Mexicans hace huevos

It seems like refs make decisions in favor of Mexico all the time. Makes me wonder if they are being paid off. Either way, reffing in concacaf is bad so maybe it’s just random and people see it how they want.
