Of all players in the last decade, there is no one that steps up to the occasion and delivers his greatest performance in the World Cup quite like Guillermo Ochoa. How did a relatively unknown keeper from the Mexico’s first division league become one of the biggest world cup performers of all time? And just how good is he really?

The same could be said of Navas. Ask people to name one player from Costa Rica, and most people only know Navas and maybe Joel Campbell who played a few games for Arsenal. Mexico never plays defensive, so why start now?? You guessed it.. Mexico always plays 4-4-1-1 n 4-4-2 so it was obvious.. Argentina always fears Mexico bcuz Mexico almost always beats Brazil in any age category n Argentina struggles against Brazil.. Mexico doesn't fear these 2 teams n actually prefers to forever be the underdogs bcuz winning by cheating bcuz of ratings is never kool.. I think the statistic that best describes Ochoa and just how great he is, is when you mentioned how he had the MOST goals conceded in a season BUT he also SAVED the most. It just shows how his talent is being overshadowed by not having the best teams (defense). He's always done everything he could as a goalkeeper in his position and it shows. Along with the adjustment, or lack thereof, of not really becoming a sweeper keeper, one major thing left out of the video was the 2011 scandal of clenbuterol “doping” that him and 4 other Mexican players suffered around the time of that year’s Gold Cup. I think it impacted him the most because of the heavy rumored move to PSG. So he basically settled for Ajaccio. He was proven innocent after but still. If he would’ve made that move to PSG, I’m sure he either would’ve become a club legend or made a move to an even bigger club in Europe. Glad to see he at least got recognition around the world due to the World Cup. He’s more praised around the world than his own country, largely in part to coming from Mexico’s biggest and most hated club, Club América. Glad to have two pictures with him as I’ve followed him his entire career. Huge Club América and Mexican national team fan here.

If you think Ochoa is good, you should do one about Jorge Campos, the best GK in all Mexico's history, idol of Iker Casillas. He was a GK ahead of his time, no jokes.
Plot Twist: He not only played as GK , but he also played as Forward and scored 46 goals. Sometimes he played half time as GK and another half time as FW. FIFA made a new rule on 1994's world cup because of him... forbidding the goalkepers to change positions during a game.
