"career" always lets people think of an actual "job"; but my idea is that a life is more than a dayjob or something, but that the MC is more your kind of "mission" in life and your highest striving. because my MC-theme for example with saturn in its placement in my chart tells my lifestory in terms of my interests and what i was striving for ever since and what kinds of things and people happened that helped there.
but my "career" as dayjob looks really really different and is just a form of support thing that helps me give me stability to go after my MC-topics i believe. Thats why i try to look at the mc with a broader view on what somebody strives for in this life, like your "life-job", which can have to do with all kinds of things and themes that would never find, fit or even need a "career".
im wondering how other astrologers view this one...
My planetary placements and degrees indicate solo entrepreneurship, working from home, being a healer using spiritual/occult/metaphysical practices to heal feminine energy through their traumas. My MC is in Gemini along with my sun, jupiter, and Venus ruled by my chart ruler Mercury rx in Taurus, trine my Virgo asc. My career absolutely must align with my interests and values and so far I've done a good job at ensuring that! Being just another body at a company sounds absolutely dreadful to me, no matter how well it pays!

My MC is conjunct my Neptune in Capricorn. Freaken kind words and thoughts people. This time in my life is hella tumultuous and figuring out the career part (late in life) is exactly where I'm at right now. I've got MC at 29:40 Capricorn. My Saturn is at home in Cap in the 9th House. It opposes my natal Mars in detriment in Cancer (in the 3rd), and semi sextiles my Sun in Sag (in the 8th) and broadly trines my Pluto and North Node in Virgo in the 5th. Apparently the North Node also points to the Soul's Mission. I've had a very varied career path: from teaching languages and literature, to hospitality (hotels, restaurants, tour guides, etc. North Node in Virgo: Service), from artist (theatre designer - my Venus and my Pallas are both conjuncting my MC within less than 1 degree - both in Cap), to banker (need for security? It did not work...) to therapist (Pluto conjuncting the North Node?). I have also recently found out that I have quite a few placements in the 10th (in Aquarius): Chariklo conjuncting Vesta, and Ceres conjuncting Chiron (could these explain my attraction to a career in therapy?). My 'careers' tend to follow a 'meteoric' pattern: I immerse myself in them and make progress very quickly and often end up working for big important organisations in the various fields I go into, but they can also change very fast (I'm not sure why...) and even collapse completely very suddenly (must have sth to do with Uranus... My natal Uranus is in Leo in the 4th - I can't make sense of that...). I work very hard (Saturn in Capricorn) but also achieve success quite readily (Jupiter, who rules my Sun Sign and my 9th House, is also in Cap - in detriment - also in the 9th - I think it boosts my comfy Saturn there too). I do wish I could find sth more STABLE and STEADY in my career life but that has hardly ever been the case, and when I do find sth more like that, I get RESTLESS, I need new CHALLENGES (Saturn opposing my Mars?) and feel DRIVEN (Pluto) to pursue new paths even when I don't know what they will be!... It has made for a very rich professional life (over 40 years now) but it does leave me feeling rather anxious about it not being at all COHERENT... At the end of the day, I'm usually TRANSFERING SKILLS: my CREATIVITY (5th House) finds different ways of expressing itself, my languages oil the wheels of most jobs I end up doing, my broad life experience comes in handy when it comes to dealing with a range of people, my dedication to study (Saturn and Jupiter in the 9th, and Sun and Mercury in Sag) always stand me on good grounds! But I also often encounter hidden ENEMIES - mostly because of JEALOUSY.... And they are usually in powerful places and scheme to bring me down (My work has been stolen so often it would be a joke if it were not so tragic...) I wish I could understand this better (I have no placements in the 12th House). Anyway, just an example of a difficult 'reading' of a career path in a natal chart... I'll make sense of it some day!
Aries MC 9th house, ruled by Mars in my Aquarius 7th house. Mars is my greater malefic and is conjunct my Sun, sextile Neptune in my fifth, square Uranus in my fourth, and trine Pluto in my third. I want to write, teach, and guide others regarding relationships. I wanted to do that well before I understood my chart. It just happens to match up. Lol Love that my 7th is Aquarius because what I want to teach is how to have a good relationship to self, so that your external relationships will be healthier. The difference between codependence and interdependence.

I’m a sag MC and my sun, moon and Jupiter is in Capricorn. I do like to travel and always thought about remote jobs but I feel comfortable and realistic at a routine job that has a stable income. I never thought about Jupiter playing a role I always looked at jobs for sag MC but they seem so out there and unreliable. I wanna put my all into something but something I’m Capable of doing.

My MC is Gemini , and Mercury is dominant planet in my personal chart , MC opposite to my Virgo rising and mercury, that's influence in work place , difficult to achieve successful and stayed in work place , Mars , Uranus , Neptune in 6 House , that's way i always aggressive in work place and struggle many problems in work place ,
I’ve been working at the same place for 6 years pretty happily and on Aug 1 everything began to change. I have MC at 2° of Taurus with my SN at around 24° of Taurus. Moon and mars are conjunct there at 5-6 degrees. During the Taurus/scorpio eclipses I thought I’d end up changing jobs but nothing happened. But now I have Pluto transiting my Venus in my 6th house (Placidus-Aquarius is mostly in the 7th), and Uranus has been sitting very close to my SN for a while. Jupiter will be hitting Uranus on SN there and Pluto is on my natal Venus. My natal Pluto is on regulus at 29 Leo. And Neptune is exactly opposite my midheaven on the IC. I am more confused than anything! Feeling I will retire. At least I WANT to retire (Pluto on my Venus bringing me a happy day-to-day-6th house- transformation?).
My MC is in Leo so the focus would be my sun. My sun is in Scorpio 1st house (lumped in a stellium). But my Sun only makes 2 aspects, one to Chiron and one to my MC. What could this mean? Also what does it mean that my sun doesn’t aspect any other planets?

Pisces MC, Jupiter sitting all by itself at 0 degrees 23’ Gemini in the 12th house. Sun and Venus both semi-square Jupiter, no other significant aspects to Jupiter (semi-sextile Chiron, conjunct Lilith, semi-square Vesta). Not sure why I include those because I never know what they mean. Interesting…. More to dig into 🙂

I have MC Cap & Saturn ruling planet is at Sag. I am often torn between wanting more freedom in career vs having something solid & secure in hand. I still don't have an answer yet 🙁
Why dont u do both, depending on whats in front of u? Life is too long to think ul only do one of those and never the other.

Hi! My MC and 10th house are in Pisces and i don’t have any planets in the 10th (Jupiter is in the 12th in Taurus, Neptune in the 8th in Cap). I’ve always dreamt about becoming a singer, musician (having a career in the arts) and i’m following this dream of mine, but i think those characteristics fit Neptune more than Jupiter. Could it be this or the fact that my Jupiter is in the 12th (arts) and in Taurus (singing/music) ?

My MC is Scorpio so Mars rules career & is conjunct natal mars at 5d. I also have Uranus at 14d Scorpio conjunct Venus 16d Scorpio.
So my MC is Aries but the tenth whole sign house begins with Taurus. I would use Mars, then, as the career indicator, not Venus? (I hope this is true- I have a super debilitated Venus)

Cancer MC and so the moon is my career ruling planet. Mars was conjunct with the MC in my birth chart and my moon is in Scorpio, so this present time with Mars in Cancer about to oppose the full moon in Scorpio in 4/26 feels important. Not sure how it’s going to play out.
My MC is in Leo and my Sun is in the 9th house. Everyone keeps telling me to practice my profession abroad but I always have this fear of being far away from home. With the sun having it's Joy in the 9th house, would going abroad really be a good thing for my career? Hehe 😅

I’m not sure exactly what minute I was born, so I can be either an Aquarius MC or Pisces MC. In my birth chart, my natal Uranus and Neptune are both in Capricorn, and my natal Saturn is in Aquarius. Based on this information which sign or planet would you say is the ruling one for my career? 🤔
Hi - for me, as a traditional style astrologer, your MC rulers would either be Saturn (if the MC is in Aquarius) OR Jupiter (if the MC is in Pisces).
You could consider whether Jupiter or Saturn in your natal chart better describes your work/career path.
Or check in with an astrologer who specialises in rectification as they can help narrow things down for you.

So this is my testimony about getting back into the church after 10 years of being out of it. For awhile I was an atheist and then an agnostic, however, God delivered me out of a difficult and strange period of my life that left me without doubt of His existence and goodness.
It's a bit of a long read, so bear with me.
A couple weeks into February of 2018 I experienced some dreams of a strange nature during a time where I was isolated, depressed, and desperate. I've dealt with anxiety and depression for along time and I was at the end of my rope. I had considered seriously commiting suicide two years ago and when the depression hit this time I couldn't take it anymore. I was searching desperately for something that would allow me to leave the situation I was in.
I was addicted to gaming and was very isolated. I also fell heavily into a series of books I was re-reading at the time that I had a great obsession with, The Dark Tower series by Stephen King.
A few months into a reread of this series I had a dreams in February 2018 one of which I think was prophetic, having to do with seeing a woman and man in the dream that I later saw the next day while walking and while watching TV. This was a man and woman that I hadn't met or seen before.There were also aspects of the dreams (which I can't easily get into because it's difficult to explain due to the content) that led me to believe that The Dark Tower series having to do with parallel universes was real.
I became convinced that there was a world parallel to ours, like the books, that I could gain access to if I used certain objects that I had in my possession . After weird events also began occuring in my home, with my television, and with me, I told my parents about all of it.
They were adamant that what I was experiencing was demonic deception and that I should cease reading these books and give myself over to God.
Being stubborn and delusional I decided to continue in what I thought was a great discovery and a way out of my situation.
Events transpired over the next few days that left me in a state of confusion and despair. My father also ended up in the hospital that week. It wasn't until I began to cry out to Jesus that things began to change. I began to hear from God during this time. I felt like I should rid myself of the books as well as the stuff I had gathered connected to them.
I eventually ended up getting rid of all the books and objects connected to them, as well as a lot of other stuff including my games. We were doing some work in my room at the time so luckily I had something to help keep my mind off what had been happening as well as grow in the word from listening to 107.9 on my radio.
When we finally returned to church a couple weeks later the sermon and series was about the book of Daniel, some of which has to do with prophetic dreams and visions among other things. I know now that this wasn't a coincidence
Once I started getting involved in the church again and reading the Bible I found out that these things really aren't as uncommon or unbelievable as they seem. My mens bible study at the time had members that had experienced supernatural and amazing things as well.
I know this isn't going to sound credible if you aren't a Christian. Back when I didn't believe, these stories didn't seem compelling or true to me. However I can tell you that if you reach out to God wholeheartedly he will reveal himself to you.
I'd like to ask that if you're going through something right now, some kind of challenge or difficulty that you reach out to God and ask him to help you. Sometimes it may not seem like anything is happening, but if you're willing to hold on and push through you can see him move in your situation in miraculous ways.

So I have Sag on MC in the 9th and Jupiter conjunct it. But why is my career awol? I’ve never found my purpose in life and I’m in my 40’s. I’ve never enjoyed any career I’ve attempted and have moved around so much. I have mostly good aspects to my Jupiter (sextiles) but one bad aspect which is opposition from Saturn. I long to find my purpose and a meaningful career. No I don’t want to be a teacher.

@@ladye2818 well not lucky at all for me. Like I said I have never found my purpose nor my career. I’ve only had careers I didn’t like much. At 24 I was working a part time job with no prospects after graduating from college. At 36 I quit a job I didn’t like after I had a baby to be a full time mom. Just recently had another Jupiter return but nothing came of it. One astrologer told me I could get published at that time but I didn’t have any finished works as I’ve all but given up on writing. Nothing really fires me up. I wanted to be a film maker once but didn’t pursue it and now it’s too late. I’m a creative but at some point I stopped getting inspiration.

Not necessarily. It is labeled MC in the chart and can be in other houses.
