- My husband and I decided to cook our own Cebu Lechon Belly for New year 2017. It is a Filipino-style Porchetta, with stuffing of garlic, onion and lemongrass.

NOTES: we preheated the oven at high setting. our oven only has High and Low setting and heat source is only on the bottom. we cooked for 1.5 hrs in Low, 1-1.5 hrs in medium and then set it to High on the last hour to melt the fats and crisp the skin. Iba din style ko😁 i soak the pork slab in a brine, i use milk instead of soy sauce, i score the skin before putting it in baking tray at i use sukang pinakurat as sawsawan super yummy😁😁

High setting po is 350 free heat po yan then iset nyo po sa low setting 280 degrees for 3 hours usually 6 hours po ang lechon for good result na very tender po is 6 hours, take note po sa mga di marunong pa po about sa oven na size is malalaki nasa 350 degrees ang high ipreheat then iset sa low heat 280 degrees for 3 hours to 5hours then ibalik sa high heat sa pagpapacrispy ng 1 hour total 6 hours base po ito sa expirience ko
what if up to 250 lng yung temp ng oven?pano po setting ng time and temp?

Thank you for this recipe. We tried it and it's super sarap. Crunchy in the outside and soft in the inside. Sa mga nag tatanong dito ang low setting po is 150 Celsius at ang medium nmn ay 180.un po ginawa ko and super crunchy ang balat nya kgaya ng nsa video hindi pumutok ang balat hindi gaya ng ibang comment dito.

the best procedure before cooking it is brining. brining is just water, salt and sugar solution. the measurement should be at least 3 liters ng tubig to 2 cups of salt to 1cup ng sugar
Do not put sugar in a lechon brine. Trust. The skin will become tough and/or chewy. The sugar will prevent the skin drying completely and though the color will be good, the texture will not be.

Note: The oven we used didn't have a source of heat/flame on top. it only had two settings: low and high. we put it on low setting for 2 hours, 1.5 hours on medium and the last 30mins on high setting. our oven didn't have temperature settings nor a thermometer.

Shutz Ztuhs, sorry late reply. 100degF (lowest) 1.5hrs; 250degF (med) 1.5hrs;
remove the lechon from the air fryer, then prick the skin while preheating to 400degF (highest), put the lechon back then bake for 1hr or until it reaches your preferred crispiness.

hello sir! may nakita po kami sa net -- Bake in a preheated 180 F oven for about 3 hours. Increase temperature to 320 F and continue to cook for about 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until meat is cooked through and browns. Increase temperature to 430 F and continue to cook for about 30 to 40 minutes or until skin is very crisp.
