You earlier review helped us seal the deal on buying the 16 Pilot Touring. 7514 miles later, we love it! Nice to see what it can do off road. I can tell you it laughed at all the Michigan winter could throw at it! Thanks for your review. Hope to see your work on the Ridgeline soon.
Thanks for this. This may (sadly) replace our 3rd Gen Toyota 4Runner soon enough so it’s good to see the limits. We get to some pretty remote camping spots with the 4Runner and our only worry is this won’t get us where we need to go. Thanks for the demonstration.
Bought one (the 2020 EXL AWD). It's a super machine. It's very nice to drive on the highway. A technical note, to tow at the 5,000 pound level, one does have to have the dealership install the transmission cooler. The 2 inch hitch is awesome.
thanks for bringing this seiries back! I have two feedbacks though: 1. maybe just focus on the offroading and leave the vehicles features and stuff for another vehicle (like you did in the past) 2. have 1 or 2 more gopros for the back
Though I would never consider buying a vehicle like this for various reasons, it still was interesting to watch and thanks for sharing, Dave! And I really like your new sunglasses, too. Sharp looking!!! Happy Driving!
Great review. I am looking forward to your review of the 2nd Gen Ridgeline. It would be great to see an off-road review of it as well. I swathe one you did for the 1st Gen and I was impressed at what it was able to do and for your honest review.
I am watching this 3 years later, pretty impressive, not struggling at all. Everyman Driver: you are correct, I want to know what these vehicles are capable of. I have a 2019 Ridgeline which do the same. thanks I would like to see a 2019 review now with the Ridgeline, Ranger, Colorado, and Frontier at this off-road site.
you see all of these videos with the 7 seater suvs going off road but what i want to see is if they do food with people and things in it or at capacity.
Another Great Review! I have been watching your reviews for some time and they have helped me make some of my buying decisions. I have been anxiously waiting for you to take a 2016 Explorer on the ORV course. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take one out there I would love to see how it will perform compared to the others you've taken out there. Thanks!
It be nice to see you going through the pond. Don't have to go in deep just the edge, to see how the car cope with the water and mud. Don't want you to lose the gopro again. Thumbs up to the video.
+ToyotaGT1Racer I could care less about the GoPro... I don't want to be blacklisted by manufacturers :-( It was 2 years ago I had my 'incident' and I'm still paying for it.
Its looks like a oversize CRV they have to many that look the same Honda need to update there vehicle. Just like to new honda civic they did a nice job on that one. The van is so outdated they made the same van style for 10 years they need to redo that one for sure. Awesome video Dave
Is funny that the pilot looks very tall and when I think it just has 7.3 inches of ground clearance is crazy 😅😅 and even more thinking that the Mazda CX-9 that looks kind of low and more close to the ground than the pilot, the Mazda has 8.8 inches of ground clearance, more than I think any other SUV in the class right ?
+Everyman Driver That Pilot looks beautiful in blue. l Luv all of ur videos keep up the Good Work!!!!! U should work at dealership definitely be the best salesperson doing business with. At first didn't like the Pilot but looks better more top of the line glad u chose that color on the test drive. Honda Rules as Nissan both.
hello @everyman driver, i wanted to know if you noticed a thud noise from back as if something is loose, only when it drives on rugged road(seems like sound may be coming from suspension and tires)!! let me know please. love your reviews and bought the car. happy with it except this noise.
I don't know buy some companies say halfway up the tire on all cars specifically so water doesn't do much to things like the differential or transmission
toyota :( he's sorry, the everyman driver nation is sorry. bring back the #toyota thats what its built for!! btw this Honda Pilot is really really nice! it makes me want to upgrade!

Awesome... so happy for you!
Make sure you do all the preventive maintenance. This is a new gen first year model
hows the real world gas mil?
Hailing from Africa in Nigeria. I love how you present your vehicles, you actually present them the way we use them

The all new 2016 Honda Pilot.

6:53, Dave, are you still looking for the go pro from the 4Runner incident?
This is awesome. This is one of the best video that you ever make. I really enojy watching it. it is a Big A+A.

Great video Dave! Can't wait until the new Ridgeline comes out to see your review on it, especially off road. Keep up the great work!
Kudos, your off road review video is one the best I ever watch. Thanks for the awesome content.
Great video, but for competition, I would consider the Subaru Tribeca or current Subaru Ascent to be much closer competition than the Santa Fe.
you see all of these videos with the 7 seater suvs going off road but what i want to see is if they do food with people and things in it or at capacity.
let's see the 2016 Ford Explorer Sport reviewed!

awesome review and video man! the pilot handled that terrain quite easily I must say. great family hauler!!
great review man!! your videos are so informative! I just bought an AWD pilot!
Thank you for helping me firm my decision on buying a pilot.
Thanks for the awesome video Dave... Enjoyed it like always

the toyota??? I would have thought it has been settle.. Is that the reason why there isn''t much toyota related off roading vids lately?
+ToyotaGT1Racer They haven't loaned to me since... so yes.
Its looks like a oversize CRV they have to many that look the same Honda need to update there vehicle. Just like to new honda civic they did a nice job on that one. The van is so outdated they made the same van style for 10 years they need to redo that one for sure. Awesome video Dave
Thanks for the off road test, nice job!

Great off-road review, Dave. Do you know details of the 2016 Pilot AWD system. It is new but I don't know the details. Thank you.
Hi! I would appreciate having your comments in relation to the current CRV capabilities with the same conditions and ground.
impressive ! I am interested in the upcoming ridgeline and I be it will be equally (if not more) as capable than the pilot.
thanks for the off-road review of Pilot. I am confused between Honda Pilot and Subaru Ascent, What would you recommend?
Yass, I've been waiting for this video. Thanks Dave!
Could u please do the Subaru crostrek in the ORV park
I'm sure a '16 Toyota Highlander AWD can handle this.
Oh wait, nevermind.
Pilot has been around longer I think so it has been more refined
do more challenging hills like in you previous videos
Great video, Dave, I enjoyed this one :D
+ThatGearHead™ Good to hear... it was fun producing it for you! Dave

+Everyman Driver I noticed the specs right away. They look good on ya.

Bhavyang Patel tbh it sounded like he was rubbing against something...
Nice presentation it is always good to know the off road performance of an SUV. How far deep in water can the Pilot go??
I don't know buy some companies say halfway up the tire on all cars specifically so water doesn't do much to things like the differential or transmission
dope amazing review and amazing car thanks man
Have you tested Jeep Grand Cherokee yet?
cant wait t get this badboy nextyear :)
Would you recommend the Pilot, or the Santa Fe? Thanks for the review.
New Santa Fe's have the 4cyl turbo's. Myself, I prefer the V6. But I do like Hyundai and Kia, great warranties, and are reliable.
Can you please do 0 to 60 mph test pretty please.
+Joe Bobert No, not safe unless I was at a supervised track, sorry.
+Everyman Driver Oh still a great video keep up the good work.
nice test.
toyota :( he's sorry, the everyman driver nation is sorry. bring back the #toyota thats what its built for!! btw this Honda Pilot is really really nice! it makes me want to upgrade!
Can the LX trim offroad?
Do Dodge Durango please
Stick with the Toyota. Honda is still having too much trouble with the 9 speed and the radio. Maybe next year.
gerard321111 just buy the 6 speed one and that’s it
Dave are you planning to buy a new camera/go pro?
+Kishan Patel If you can help me pay for it?
+Everyman Driver if I we work together, then is a yes ;)
Can the current CRV make it through the gauntlet?
I'm pretty sure it did whenever he took it out there
Exactly what 99% of what families will do off-road.
love this
Lol walking dead quote (dean)
+StevieBoy taking it like a champ @______@
This is what the roads are like in Africa.
still looks too much like a jacked up mini van with the short hood and long body
That's a nice looking minivan :) Love your videos as always.
+Bo Han Thank you... I appreciate the love!
