    By far the best close-ups I've seen of those cars there just is no easy way to describe them. The BOS rail mover is something new having never seen anything this big. There are some shuttle wagons that come close but this thing actually reminds me of the body of a huge Oshkosh truck used in military firefighting or at a major airport. I'm glad you were able to catch such a rare shipment and thanks for sharing

    The Navy is "refuelling" all active ships with new fuel rods that are good for 50 years at Portsmouth, Norfork VA and a base in Washington State. These trains will deliver new rods and and pick up used ones for the next few years.

    I was stationed at Pease Air
    Force Base, Portsmouth, NH,
    1969 to 1974, so I have been
    to the Naval Shipyard, over
    towards Kittery, ME in those
    years. Thanks. 😅

    Very cool catch though.

    What's up with the utility poles in the background at the beginning of the video?

    • @scottfw7169
      @scottfw7169 27 дней назад

      Even with being grown then treated for use as utility poles, sometimes they warp over time. Probably is a result of repeated wet/dry and cold/warm cycles plus the stress forces on the pole. Missouri is a different latitude from New Hampshire but we have a few old wooden utility poles like that here in our town.
