Hey, thanks so much, Doug! Masks all the time and OCD personal decontamination routines, which would be ridiculously weird at any other point in time, seem be working right now. You stay safe and well too!
Rob, this is so inspired, Sir. Most engaging narration and superb dexterity in Procreate. Delighted to have found you via Alvin’s talk at a symposium on growing local USK chapters. Hello from USK NYC! Cheers!
you have no idea how much i enjoy watching your videos and how they inspire me to sketch and draw again. i often times forget to or lose the inspiration to due to university. greeting from germany
Thanks for introducing Hong Kong in a different way, a side of HK that less tourists are aware of. Very nice paintings, really appreciate you shared the processes (painting and thinking processes) and rectification you made. 😊
There are some truly amazing green spots and hiking trails to get happily lost in- a very unexpected part of HK!😄 (that I love) Plan a visit when it’s safe😉
Hong Kong looks like a dream 😭😭✨ so beautifully shot, too!! thank you for sharing this moment, hope I'll find my sketch group someday :) and thank you for the walk through your process, it's invaluable
I truly enjoyed this video and your sketches. Appreciate you sharing your thought process while sketching too. Looking forward to more videos from you. Thank you!
Great video Rob, good to see you getting out and about. Please put together an online course on ipad urban sketching, who knows when we will all be able to travel again. Which are your favourite brushes? Thanks for sharing with us 🙂
I'm an urban sketcher from the Norwich UK group. I was in Hong Kong for about a week in 1970 as a 17 year old sailor it has clearly changed much since then!! Your video has sold Hong Kong as a sketching venue though I am biased as I've liked your work for sometime. I've been using Procreate since the 2018 ipad came on the market and am now looking to justify the cost of a 2020 Ipad Pro. Thank you for your video(s).
Wow, thanks so much, Andy! What a difference a few decades has made to this city- thankfully, there are still lots of lovely pockets to explore. Good luck with justifying the upgrade!😉 (from iPad to Pro is a good jump)
Glad I found your RUclips channel. I’m enjoying my mini 6, versus the weight of the Pro for outdoors and many other tasks except for certain illustration projects that need the pro. Hong Kong is beautiful, maybe I will be able to sketch in person there one day. Lovely work as always.
This is amazing, you are a fantastic artist. I was wondering if iPad urban sketching was a thing and then I stumbled across your channel! Thank you for sharing, I can't wait to watch more of your videos
Fun to watch you “build” your sketches in Procreate. Do you use 3rd party brushes or have you created your own, Rob? I love to draw/sketch with my 12.9 iPad Pro (2017) and Pencil 2 using Procreate and Tayasui Sketches Pro, but I haven’t been as comfortable doing watercolor in Procreate compared to Sketches Pro. Very curious what brushes you use in Procreate as, perhaps, that’s where I’m hitting a wall.
Thanks, Rob, for sharing. Did you ever do a video about the matte screen protector? The reviews out there don't seem to line up well for selecting the best one - or perhaps they are all good...
Wonderful! This is my second video. Thanks for sharing. I'm buying my first ipad pro so my daughter can sketch. Question: My next thing to purchase is a drone? What kind of drone do you use?
I have been doing a lot of detailed portraits lately but would love to do sketches like this too. I never have done anything besides portraits so do you have any suggestions on where to start. Should i start by taking some only courses for landscape or perspective or something ? Great video btw 😁
Can’t wait for the new courses!
wow! amazing. this is really like it. thank you Rob.
Every time I watch one of your videos I learn something new. Thank you Rob, stay healthy and safe.

Great video Rob, really interesting to see how you tackle different scenes and your thought processes
Your 2nd sketch emits the feelings of home...and nostalgia somehow though nowhere I live on the coast looks like this! Beautiful 💚💚💚
You are very gifted. This is one of the most well done videos I've seen on youtube.
“Higgledy-Piggledy” is one of those words whose definition is just understood at first hearing it 😂🤗💜

Wow, that’s absolutely amazing! Didn’t imagine Hongkong being such a green place. Would love to go there one day.... 🤗

Love all of your different styles! So interesting to see the different perspectives 💙
Do you have a video where you share your process, layers, brushes, etc? It would be really cool!
Please continue!

REALLY love your style of video, would love to see a little more of your drawing tech though..
Hope you and your friends and family are staying safe, miss your videos 🤗
Great channel man
I know you didn’t like that first one the best, but the contrasts in there were great 👍🏼 Happy sketching 🌞

I was going to ask what brushes he uses too! I'm really struggling with this aspect as a new IPad Pro/Procreate user.....

I am really inspired by your work. I would be amazing if you let us know how can ingest the brush you used..
Wonderful! This is my second video.
