Hi. Just watched this video for the first time. And have been looking for amazing watercolour brush set for Procreate for a long time. Can’t wait to use your set that I’ve just brought. Thank you so much for showing us how to use them. Love your drawing.
Hi, thank you so much for your kind words and support! 🙏✨ Make sure to check out the watercolor tutorial playlist I have in my channel, and you will be able to watch all the watercolor tutorials I have so far on how to use this specific brush set 😊
I like that you painted on the line art layer as well. Before you chose to do so I was thinking in my head: " Ehhh there isnt enough shadow/dark for me to like that thick of a line art on watercolor to me" then I saw you choose to paint over it/Alpha lock the layer and went: " Oh yeah that works! : D"
fantastic demo! this is the style i paint in and you've given me lots of ideas tricks etc many thanks, i have tried all (to my knowledge) watercolour set avaliable for procreate and yours is by far the most realistic! one question: do you use a second screen for the photo ref or the reference window(which perhaps doesnt show in videos) i hope you make more watercolour demos, they are a joy to watch
Thank you for the nice words! I use my Mac or my iPhone for viewing my reference while painting. That’s why I always try to share the link for the references I use, because leaving the reference on screen all the time in my videos would take up too much space for my taste 😊
As always, I love your work. I’m contemplating buying your watercolor brushes. It seems in most of the videos I’ve watched so far, you use the same brush. I was kind of looking for a video that shows more brushes in your set. I have many watercolor sets already, that I bought when I first started, but I’m still not getting the look I want. I’m trying to see if your brushes are different than what I have. I have your gouache set.
@@nighthealerrn1695 I appreciate your kind words. I’m not exactly sure what do you mean when you say that I use the same brush, I’ve been having a look at some of the videos in my watercolor playlist and I think I use plenty of different brushes, depending on the painting. This is the first video I did giving a tour of the set and I showcase a lot of the brushes that come with it: ruclips.net/video/iRH_RRuE44c/видео.htmlsi=C44YTMsdQZ6D3AkH
@@nighthealerrn1695 it’s okay! It really depends on the painting. Sometimes I’ll use multiple different brushes, sometimes just a couple or three. You don’t need to use 57 different brushes in one painting. Maybe in one painting I use 3-4 brushes, but in another painting I use other 3-4 brushes that are different from the ones in the previous painting. Here’s another tutorial where I show a wide variety of brushes in use: ruclips.net/video/rRBoIZQhs0M/видео.html
Great tutorial! Could you teach us step by step how to create those dark edges? I tried slowing down the video and tried following.. but couldn’t succeed in learning the technique
Hi! Thank you. I have explained it step by step many times so I don’t want to keep repeating myself in every video, that’s why I don’t slow it down in this one. You can see it slow down step by step around minute 2:50 in this video: ruclips.net/video/SNuwf_meCb4/видео.htmlsi=960iPsPLYDP70gqq

Hi I m from India just saw yur art work it is amazing I hope u can help me as I m beginner for such painting slowly and step by step I want to learn do u have such videos where I can learn step by step and even I want to know u have any brushes related to thick texture paint
Hi 😊 The wash sheet textures help to add an extra touch of realistic watercolor effect, but more like the final result you would get, not so much the real-time flow of the water effect. Other apps like Adobe Fresco have that real time water flow effect that you can see flowing as you paint, but the result looks nothing like real watercolor in my opinion. My goal with this set is to get the best results possible, I find the other approach a little bit of a gimmick.
I have never ordered from gumroad before but I plan to order these. I just need to know is there a commercial license as I sell my digital paintings. Thank you for such an awesome tutorial.
Hi! All my brushes and tools can be used for personal or commercial purposes as long as we are talking about the art or works you create with them. The only thing you can’t do is to share, resell or redistribute my brushes and tools themselves. I hope this helps!
Is there any way to make an automatisation for hard edges? Like to apply it to the brush or may be just a script that you can run for selected layers or else
I wish! Procreate doesn’t support any kind of automation scripting or anything similar. Trying to achieve this with a brush wouldn’t give you the results I’m getting with this method. In fact, it would likely require more steps and cleanup, resulting in less convincing outcomes. Also, once you know how to do it, the method I’m explaining here is actually quite quick. Plus, it’s not something you’d want to do too many times in one painting anyway.
going fully digital and feeling good about it (no water needed, no washing my brush in my mug of tea.....) do you have any advice about printing, i thought giclé on arches but hot press or cold press for the most realistic look? got to try, have you tried it?
I haven’t tried personally but if I was going to I would make sure to turn the paper texture off, since the real paper would already have texture 😊 It should look great and now that you mentioned it I want to try it!
Hi! I’ve seen you have found it, but in case others face the same issue at some point, there’s a search bar available on my Gumroad page where you can type and find the exact brush set you’re looking for

Hello Ittai! What would you say the real-life equivalent to your Watercolor wash sheet is? Is it just to mimic how the water might organically flow?
Hi 😊 The wash sheet textures help to add an extra touch of realistic watercolor effect, but more like the final result you would get, not so much the real-time flow of the water effect.
