Thanks, the octopus was just under 5Kgs! The van has been a fair bit of work on the side but absolutely worth it for me. So many more places to explore and dive!
@@ryane8881 that's a monster. I've never even seen one before. You must have had a few good meals from that catch. I'm down the roseland coast In the van now. Will keep an 👀 out for one myself. Great fun with the van conversation. There is always something to change or maintain too. Happy vanning.
Thanks! Not sure I can fully agree, I’ve been stoning fish for quite a while now! I’m also very modest! 😂 the camper has been great, opened up a lot of options for me!
Thanks, the spots were all new to me which was fun. The conversion is pretty basic but I’ve done a lot of work to the engine and maintenance work, it’s been very well looked after!
@@ryane8881 Haha well I have my theory/strategy of where to find them now, and will be testing it out a lot over coming weeks/months you are always welcome to join me 😁🤞
Loved this Cornwall trip. And cracking job you've made of camper van . Thanks for sharing Ryan. Quick question. Your float line. Which is it . And how do you rate it. Cheers again
Thanks Pete, I’m planning on making it back to Cornwall in the van this year. I’m using the 10-40m bungee floatline from start point spearfishing (formerly the spearfishing store) it’s great in the top 12m but I was getting quite a bit of pull from if it I dived deeper. The 8-32m floatline option had much less pull and is cheaper!
Great video. Record hits. Very beautiful places. Can you write how to get to the location of those places that are on the video. I really want to visit with my family. I will be extremely grateful.
Thanks for the comment! I mainly just drove around looking for spots, can’t remember the details about how to get there etc. one thing you could do is find a campsite very close to a beach then walk down to the beach 👍🏻
Thanks for your recommendation. Believe me if you start writing an accurate location with you to increase subscribers at times. Everyone wants to visit beautiful places.
Fantastic video mate, you really do put together some brilliant content 👍🏼 really enjoyed that one! Surface hunting can be great fun, definitely something I enjoy, can be super productive as well. Van looks brilliant 👌🏼 what do you use to keep your fish chilled? I’m doing longer trips myself now, I brought a big IceyTec, which seems to be good.
Thanks mate! That area I was at towards the end just had bass and mullet but I think could hold other species. I fillet the fish and keep them in boxes in the fridge/freezer. Iceytec are good, I’ve got an igloo marine. I also store stuff on ice, regularly drain the water then change ice every 4 days? I got the van at 51K miles and it’s 20 years old. Flushed all the fluids and cleaned out parts of the engine and stuff like that so it’s been running great 👌🏻
@@ryane8881 One thing I got last year, that I can't recommend enough, is a cheap vacuum sealer from Amazon. I fillet my fish when I'm away, vaccum seal it then put it on ice. It lasts so much better. I recently did a taste test between bass I caught in August 2021 and bass that I caught June 2022, zero difference. I was amazed. I use a Power Inverter from BESTEK (Amazon) that allows you to use the 12V power in your car / van and convert it t 240V, so you can use appliances up to 300W in the car, so I can vac seal on the go! I cannot explain the relief of coming home from a long trip and all you need to do is drop the sealed fillets in the freezer. Zero stress.
@@BR0SE1DON the vac pac sounds great, I’ll get one. When I’m travelling in the van I’m only catching what I need to eat fresh so I’m not catching much! Spend most my time looking for different species and filming
@@ryane8881 Ah, I see! One of my main aims is to come back with a decent haul for the family - I can only get down once a month in the summer so I tend to stock up a little!
If you would write locations in the form of subtitles when you show beautiful places, then the video and subscribers would be much more. There is not enough time to discover such beauty for yourself.
Incredible video, one of your best yet to me , thanks
Thanks Grant, the spearo in transit series should be good 🤞
Loved it Ryan, looking forward to part 2!
Thanks Joe. I’ll be on the road again very soon 👍🏻
Never seen a bad Ryan E clip yet, top guy.
Thanks! 👍
Pretty accurate shots on the bass😃💪
Thanks, I’d like to stone every fish I shoot but doesn’t always work. At least the fillets are normally undamaged 👌🏻
Loving the van and video, this will be a good series, keep it up Ryan nice one mate.
Thanks, the plan is travel about the UK coastline and dive all over living off seafood 👍🏻
Cracking video. Keep them coming. I’m new to spear fishing just trying it out around jersey Channel Islands.
Cheers Ben! Jersey looks like a great place to dive, should be fun
Love the van. Been doing the same for a while. Opens up so many opportunities to explore new areas. Stunning pulpo too 👌😎

I’m not sure on the location names. You could try asking on southwest spearfishing Facebook for more information as they should know places to go
At 6:41 is that red mullet ?
Yeah that’s right, there was probably about 200 small ones in the area on that dive
