A short but fishy outing. I started off hole hunting on a reef but as the current picked up I did drifts over kelp beds. With no big bass showing I bagged a couple of the prolific small bass.
@@ryane8881 its been a very odd year for us all methinks! Love watching the footage of the weed dancing in the current and the fish doing their thing as you lie in wait, ready for the ambush. I look forward to the next instalment. Dive safe chap ;-)
Spot on mate perfect size.. perfect shot... How we get these hip shots amazes me. So in the zone when under 8m plus... I sit there on the beach after thinking how did I get that shot... Could understand if we used the sights on the gun but we don't... We just know when to pull the trigger. Mega mate.
Hello , I’m getting into the sport. I’ve scuba dived for years but fancy a new sea based hobby . Just wanted to say thanks for the videos they are interesting and helpful. If you ever are down in Devon or Cornwall, or fancy diving this way feel free to look me up
In about Oct/Nov the winds tend to pick up and there’s often no vis for months at a time. Water is colder and there’s a lot less species about. 2hr drive for me to go spearfishing so need to know I’ll be able to see the end of my speargun and be able to find fish 😂 but I do dive over winter if I can
Ryan E I tend to head Cornwall way as the lack of river outlets mean less silt in the coastal water ... also gravel bed or sand settle quicker. Clearly that’s more diving and can understand the need for vis .
Nice shootin' Tex!
Thanks for sharing Ryan.
Keep em coming
Haven’t done much spearfishing this year but I’ll have a look and see if I’ve got enough footage to make a vid covering summer 👍

Dirty Ryan - Clint with a speargun🧜🏻♂️ Good foraging gunny🔥
😂 thanks always a good moment putting in the perfect shot 👍🏻
Epic! All those fish 😍😍
Great video dude 😁👍😎
Cheers 👍 loads of small bass about that day, I think almost every dive I was finding bass!
Nice way to hunt and cover lots of ground!
It’s really fun, fish move much faster when the current is running. It’s harder to swing around the speargun tho!
