That’s the most reliable used gorgeous sporty midsize sedan...ford did an amazing job putting the Sport model together it’s very different than the lower models of the fusion.
I have the same car but it's an '10 with 212,000 miles. It's in great condition considering its age. The car runs great and she's my daily. I won't run her into the ground neither.

I have suede white 2012 Sel v6 3.0l w/ smoked housing sidemarkers, switchback turn signals, interior, licence plate, and puddle lamps all xenon white LEDs. I went with ice blue fog lights. Love the overall outcome. Like the idea of the switching out the keyless entry cause the green does bother me as well. As mine is not a sport sadly I would kill for a sunroof and the sport kit side skirts. They go for $700 a peice so in time maybe. Also want to lower the car with coilovers and get a pioneer 8" head unit. And maybe paint the 3 chrome bars like you had done. I subbed cause I agree with your direction. Keep up with more uploads. Hey so I actually had OEM headlights. I cut the rear open and retrofitted in an actual HID projector. For the turn signals, check out the switchbacks at Diode Dynamics.
Also wanted to ask idk if I missed it or not but where did you get those actual daytime runners on the lower bumper? I’m getting a Sport of my own and thats such a creative touch you put on it it looks gorgeous
Daniel Woods Thanks!! They are Philips LED DRL. I forget if they are the 8 or 9s. It was a tricky install and required cutting the lower grille and some of the underneath of the bumper. Wiring them is pretty easy. Also if you’re looking for a CAI, I took my Steeda CAI off and I am getting rid of it.
StangDadGT Ok I got you. I saw some custom HID headlights that are after market that have HID daytime runners they look very sharp, I don’t know much about the steeda Intakes what did it to yours?
@@Goldenwoodz Honestly I would stay away from those. They will have sub par projectors in them, fitment will be poor and they probably won't last. Probably not what you want to hear. If you go that route, make sure you find someone on one of the Fusion forums who had good feedback on it. AS for the CAI, they don't really add much HP, its a big debate. Some say 10-15 some say nada. I can tell you it gave the car a really deep, throaty and load sounds when you hit the accelerator.
I am not big in to CF. Right now, I am going to get some dings removed tomorrow, paint correct it and seal it to make it look new again! Also detailing it inside. I will get some shots of this soon.
Beautiful car dude! I love the LED turn signals and HID headlight setup. I have a 2012 Fusion Sport, same color minus the NAV screen😭.. I want to change my lights too. Have you come across any LEDs for the brake lights? The ones I have used kept hyper flashing. 🤦🏾♂️
Joel Johnson Thanks!! I always used Diode Dynamics products, but you will need to install resistors on each spot you put an LED bulb to eliminate the hyper flash.
Have you come across the feature when you hold down the unlock button on your key, both front windows will go down and the moonroof will tilt? Try it, if you haven't. Works good for me here in South Florida to help air the heat out of the car before I get in.

I’d recommend finding a full sync upgrade kit. I just did that for my 2014 edge sport to upgrade sync 2 to 3. Was about $650 and comes with OEM parts. It would also get you a new screen and fix that issue.

No No I think they are great cars. The year and trim are your call based on what you like the look of and what options you want and budget. I had a new Titanium one as a rental and it was super nice. They just came out with a new sport one that is also pretty sweet.
Also, how did you cover the dot matrix on the back of your fusion? Is that vinyl that I see? I have slight bubbles between the tint and the dot matrix that bothers me
Some of that ambient lighting came as part of a package with the car (cup holders and such). For your map and dome lights, I always use Diode Dynamics.
I bought it so long ago it doesn’t exist anymore on eBay. I have seen the randomly pop up on Facebook marketplace though. Just search Google, eBay and FB for Ford front emblem overlay.

Blake Patterson I removed the bumper then popped out the 3 chrome pieces. I had to drive around without the chrome pieces for a little, but it was worth it!

JPhill DaRealDeal It has been a super solid car. I replaced the driver side head seat element and had to replace an engine mount. Otherwise it has been only routine maintenance. Approaching 100K.
I have a 2012 Fusion Sport, only major issue was my water pump failed and needed to replace it at about 50 to 60,000 miles (not sure why, but that was super early for any water pump to fail). I changed the radiator cooling fans around 95,000. I'm at 111,000 now and running strong.

That seems like a good deal, but there are more factors to take in to consideration. Even if it was high mileage, if you can get it running and looking good for under $2K, its not a bad pick up.
King Dee I am at 97K now. Other than regular maintenance, I relaxed the drivers heated seat element ($300) and 2 engine mounts ($700). Otherwise it’s been an awesome car and still going strong. I’m about to do a paint correction and sealant to make it look new!
King Dee Man, location and color play a factor. If you get 10-12, anywhere between $7-$10K. There are a few different options for the sports, like the Navi and upgraded Sony stereo as well as AWD. The 11-12 used gunmetal chrome and not silver chrome. Looks better. 11-12 also has the homelink on visor but 10 doesn’t. I bought mine from an MKZ and installed them.

Calea Powell The front emblem replaces the factory, so you have to remove the bumper. The rear is an overlay. If you find them and are near STL, I’d be happy to help install the front.
Kyle 21 Hard to want to since it’s been so reliable. Plus it’s my wife’s car and much easier to do errand with the kids in it than the Mustang. Eventually I do want my wife to get a car she wants and that’s when the fusion would go.

@@miiam9159 I did the headlamps myself but there are professional retrofitters out there. The seller for the emblems isn't on eBay anymore. Measure the front and rear and then search that size ford emblem and you should find some.

I got lucky and the guy who I bought the car from actually had it tinted by someone good and the dot matrix was done well. It’s all about the tinter.

Is the 2010 version better than the 2012 my girl has a 12, but everybody else owns ‘10’s?
2010-2012 are same generation so if there are differences, they are minimal.

DXSTER I averaged about 17 all city driving. Sped shouldn’t be an issue. It has good power but not too much.

The Sport is mechanically different from the other run of the mill Fusion trim levels! Sport is its own trim like the Taurus SHO is.
No this has hydraulic steering.
How did you paint the grille? Did you drop the bumper and remove it first?

If it’s the whole lower piece, that’s a side skirt I believe.

I got rid of the car a couple years ago but it was running fine. They use that 3.5 in many ford and Lincoln’s. I had FWD.

Only issues I had were my driver side heated seat went out and I have to replace motor mounts. Otherwise it was only normal, expected maintenance.

Calea Powell The front emblem replaces the factory, so you have to remove the bumper. The rear is an overlay. If you find them and are near STL, I’d be happy to help install the front.

StangDadGT it’s just a 2010 sport 3.5 and it has the cheap stock radio but a Excellent sound system

Kyle 21 Hard to want to since it’s been so reliable. Plus it’s my wife’s car and much easier to do errand with the kids in it than the Mustang. Eventually I do want my wife to get a car she wants and that’s when the fusion would go.

I don’t have the car anymore but I certainly did. In fact the drivers one went out and was one of the 2 issues I ever had with the car.

@@miiam9159 I did the headlamps myself but there are professional retrofitters out there. The seller for the emblems isn't on eBay anymore. Measure the front and rear and then search that size ford emblem and you should find some.
