Pretty cool that your trick is using RTSP. When I first started working on this is when the camera was region-blocked, and is relying on MQTT. I don’t have a Synology so its pretty tedious to check the footage captured
Well MQTT is something I really want to invest my time in and bring it into the home automation world. I got the Synology as a one stop shop - pretty nifty fellow :) Anyways Cheers and as always dont forget to like & subscribe !
Just got a synology device last month and a bunch of dafang cams lying around. I hesitated about the fanghacks as it was not updated for ages but looks like its still a good option.
Nice thing about this hack, if you have a smart TV, & Google or Amazon assistant, & you added the cameras, & TV to be used your voice controlled assistant, you can simply ask your assistant "show me [cam name] on living room tv" & it will show up on your screen, & if you set the cameras up in groups, you can ask for camera group so see those, or "show all cameras on LRoom tv" & if you have 10 cameras, you'll see all 10, that is if you set them all up correctly.
This isn't possible with a 16GB sd card? That's the only one I have. I tried many times but I can't get it to flash the demo.bin. Mine is a Wyze Cam V1, which is the same as the XiaoFang T20.

Why thecamera only gives you one frame per second and not a smoother recording? It gives the impression of going backwards in technology when it plays like that. Is there a way to make it to play at higher and smoother rate?

It indeed is. However double check the Cam hardware versions is compatible with the Dafang hack
Hi Eddie, do you need to leave the SD card in the camera forever, or can you remove it once flashed?
Hey Ryan - yes you’ll need to leave the SD card in the CAM to function with the hacked firmware
It will work with 360 smart Camera?
Can you please mention the brand .. I got the TpLink Tapo working
360 smart camera d603 model

Well its 1280 x720 resolution and all depends on your network to broadcast via wifi

Hi there! Would you be able to upload the HOOBS camera configuration on pastebin or any other site? Thanks!
I used the one in this link under Wyze Cam - plugins.hoobs.org/plugin/homebridge-camera-ffmpeg
so it doesn't matter that my router uses WPA2 encryption?.. the config shows TKIP, will that matter?
