I think one of BabyMetals strongest attributes is that they can pump a crowd like nobodies business. When you go to a concert the main thing you want is to have a blast and they deliver that everytime!

Not 100% sure it's happiness that people are reacting to. For me personally it's their energy and stage presence. Babymetal isn't necessarily all that great musically imo (I don't think they're bad either) but they fucking bring that insane energy to the stage that you don't see that often anymore. That's what I think people react to the most.

Haha. I feel this way about this song too. I don't much like their other stuff, but I like this song. I like the dancing and everything and I can't for the life of me figure out why.
I have asked myself the same question about the dancing. I normally do not give a crap about dancing yet when they dance I can't take my eyes off of them. I guess maybe because it's there but its not over the top. It just goes along with the music and boosts the energy and the meaning of the song in a positive way instead of competing with it for attention.
Well, this is the first time we've seen dancing with music that was actually good. So we associated it with bad music. It turns out the dancing wasn't the problem it was the bad music.
Not only that but they're dancing on a moving platform. As it actually moves backward & forward, and would stop, as well as raising up & down. Granted it isn't moving fast, it's still moving

Why do you like it, why does it sound so good ... as Su-metal said when they first got to see Metallica in a festival where they also played and she got an insight into what metal is about: "Don't think. Feel." The guest vocalist here was F. Hero, a rapper from Thailand - and yes he was rapping about a summer papaya salad. I'm sure you will enjoy 'Road of Resistance' too ... and then we will have a load more suggestions for even better songs - and every one of them is different. Some you may not like as much, but that's fine - I'm sure you will like others even more (personally I don't think they have a bad song although I had to get used to some I wasn't sure of when I first heard them - seeing them sing them live made all the difference with those songs as well).

I know it's a werid concept, metal music that makes you feel happy and makes a 50+ year old want to bounce aroud like a teenager, while at the same time being heavy. Something inside you, is telling that it's not right, but you have a feeling that it's good. At metal shows, you're supposed to stand there and head bang, not want to run around like an idiot and jump up and down. But at the end of the day it just feels right.

even today not single soul understand why we love Babymetal , me can say i know why i love Babymetal but the real answer is i do not know , what i know is i like them .... that's it. me remember once in the interview of Mikiko the Babymetal choreographer said to the Interviewer about their dances : " Interviewer : The sharpness of the dance by the three girls… it doesn’t seem to resemble the way hip-hop kid dancers dance, for example. Mikiko : It’s like the girls’ dance styles are not based on a specific genre or a background. Their styles are not constrained by any specific school of dance. I think that’s what’s good about them. I’m like, “Why can they do this? Why can they do that?” I would go as far as to say that I’ve never seen such a dance group before. I’m talking about Suzuka again, but she never tries to dance like someone. Once music is on, she is someone. Alex N Channel Their choreographer did the Olympics for Japan. She knows modern and ancient Japanese dance and theater. That’s why the girls never show themselves breathing through their mouth ir showing any fatigue or discomfort because they want to give the best possible performance. I’ll tell you all why you like it so much.... the music is top notch.... the girls are very talented... most of all..... it’s just so much damn FUN! I’ve been to 5 BABYMETAL concerts and had so much fun! I wasn’t even that much of metal head, like I was when I was young. That’s why I love this band so much!
I grew up in the 60's/70's. At that time all we had was radio really, so the songs that were popular with us kids were original heavy metal, hard Rock, and summer time pop. Baby metal brings all those genres together (and more.) Imagine if you will going to a weekend music festival and all your favorite metal, hard Rock and Pop band showed up to play ... A BBM concert is like compressing that full weekend concert into a two hour show. It's theatre ... All the best music and cuteness rolled into one show. What's not to like? Only the most cynical of haters can listen to BBM (more than one song, I understand that someone might find a BBM song that is not their style and may not like it ... 'Gimme Chocolate' is kind of that way with me, it was my first experience with them and whole the song wasn't my cup-of-tea, the whole concept of the band made me explore what else they had to offer and I was hooked) and not appreciate how awesome they really are. Oh, and it gets better ... You've only scratched the surface.

"Why do I love the way they dance?" I get it, man. I ask myself that every time. It looks weird as fuck. But it also looks like they're having so much fun. I think that's what get to us. Also, yeah, it just sounds so good! Not only their energy, and the video definately help, it's just quality music. If you wanna hear another great one, look for "Megitsune". It was the one that made me fall in love.

I heard the intro of one of their older songs a few years ago and kinda blew it off, now I regret it. during this quarantine I watched a reaction video and slowly became hooked, now it’s on my bucket list to see them live, I just missed them twice on my last vacation to the US. Late 2019, Damn, well hopefully I can catch a date in Europe after this virus chills out, or wait until next tour
Glad to see they are growing on you! I have been a huge fan for three years now, and I still haven't quite found out how their magic works. It just does, and I'm fine with that. I have never enjoyd music that much before. And it gets even better when you are in the crowd.
BABYMETAL is a live performer. The songs in all 3 of their albums were released with a vision of how it will be performed live and when that happened, coupled with their choreography and insane musicianship from the backing band (known as Kami band), every song are on steroid. When they are live, the fans go crazy. The crazier the fans are, the more hype BABYMETAL will be.

Well if you want to get blown away by a hard hitting metal song, all I can say is, listen to "Babymetal Death" and if you want to hear what the band can do, listen to "Rondo of Nightmare". "Babymetal Death" doesn't really have lyrics (they just say their names and the name of the band) and "Rondo" is an instrumental but they will rock your socks off and definitely put the Metal into Babymetal.
BabyMetal expresses the joy I've always felt listening to metal. Plus, it's so great to see the hyper-feminine put together with the hyper-masculine. It's like gender fluid metal ;)

Not many people suggest it, but check out their live at Download Festival version of the song "Distortion". I think the song is underrated and never gets suggested to be reacted to since right after it came out.
I think the appeal of Babymetal is that they stimulate a sort of drug cocktail of natural hormones in the body. There's the adrenaline rush of the heavy metal married to the happy feel of endorphins from the cuteness. It's a bit like going skydiving with a basketful of puppies.

It's theatre ... All the best music and cuteness rolled into one show. What's not to like? Only the most cynical of haters can listen to BBM (more than one song, I understand that someone might find a BBM song that is not their style and may not like it ... 'Gimme Chocolate' is kind of that way with me, it was my first experience with them and whole the song wasn't my cup-of-tea, the whole concept of the band made me explore what else they had to offer and I was hooked) and not appreciate how awesome they really are.

I heard the intro of one of their older songs a few years ago and kinda blew it off, now I regret it. during this quarantine I watched a reaction video and slowly became hooked, now it’s on my bucket list to see them live, I just missed them twice on my last vacation to the US. Late 2019, Damn, well hopefully I can catch a date in Europe after this virus chills out, or wait until next tour
Glad to see they are growing on you! I have been a huge fan for three years now, and I still haven't quite found out how their magic works. It just does, and I'm fine with that. I have never enjoyd music that much before. And it gets even better when you are in the crowd.
It's talent, quality, focus and hard work. That's 'all' it is :-)

BABYMETAL is a live performer. The songs in all 3 of their albums were released with a vision of how it will be performed live and when that happened, coupled with their choreography and insane musicianship from the backing band (known as Kami band), every song are on steroid. When they are live, the fans go crazy. The crazier the fans are, the more hype BABYMETAL will be.

Well if you want to get blown away by a hard hitting metal song, all I can say is, listen to "Babymetal Death" and if you want to hear what the band can do, listen to "Rondo of Nightmare". "Babymetal Death" doesn't really have lyrics (they just say their names and the name of the band) and "Rondo" is an instrumental but they will rock your socks off and definitely put the Metal into Babymetal.
Its just got such energy and the music just drives. I don't understand a word that is said but darn if I can sit still when I listen to it.
Road of Resistance Live in Japan is an all time epic performance.. A must watch!

I think the appeal of Babymetal is that they stimulate a sort of drug cocktail of natural hormones in the body. There's the adrenaline rush of the heavy metal married to the happy feel of endorphins from the cuteness. It's a bit like going skydiving with a basketful of puppies.
Its ok man, its ok. Do not stop yourself, let it all in. Take all the babymetal hype you can, because the epicness doesn't end here!
