F Hero is Thai, so the rap portion was in the Thai language, while Su's singing was in Japanese. It's an interesting mix for this song. Kawaii is pronounced just like Hawaii, but with a K, while Kowai "koh-why" actually means scary, or afraid. At times, both words can describe Babymetal.
It's worth mentioning that the "a" that differentiates Kawaii from Kowai has to be very marked (for the english language, at least). It's "a" as you'd pronounce it while saying "Jack".
Kawaii Metal is the invention of Babymetal's producer, who could see that Su had the potential to sing over a full on Metal band...and that's where the legends began! You've both clearly been intrigued enough by Road of Resistance to want to know more so hats off to you for digging for more info. Babymetal fans will not only give you more subscribes, likes and comments than most fan bases, we will give lots of info and suggestions too. Pa-pa-ya (the best Metal song about tropical fruit ever!) was a good choice as it's more recent (2019) and completely different to Road of Resistance. As I commented on your Road of Resistance reaction, Su Metal (or, as she is often referred to, Our Metal Queen or Our Metal Goddess) is a gifted soprano with a vocal range of C4 to G#5 and practices her breath control so that she can dance and sing so well by exercises such as running full pelt on an treadmill and then leaping off to sing a verse. There are 4 solos she does (and also 4 duets from Moa and Yui, the other 2 girls) and there is one from her 20th birthday which is heartbreakingly beautiful (No Rain, No Rainbow, Live in her home city of Hiroshima, 2018: ruclips.net/video/pDgqo6fcliY/видео.html ) and an earlier one which has a superb guitar duet in the middle and is a great song (Akatsuki, live at Black Night: ruclips.net/video/g2372C5PJLM/видео.html ). There is also a solo called Rondo of Nightmare, with an intro by the Kami Band, who all get a chance to show off their talents individually before Su joins them on stage to sing her heart out (ruclips.net/video/xSAteKgAUKg/видео.html ). Hopefully, you'll keep on trying more Babymetal. Just remember that Kawaii Metal means excellent music and the tightest choreo ever alongside Su's excellent vocals with an end result of giving us headbanging music while also making us smile broadly (something no other Metal band I've seen in the 44 years since I first saw Sabbath live in 1976 has ever given me). Their choreographer, by the way, was due to take a small break from her decade of teaching Babymetal to organise the Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony ...but that's cancelled for now. Stay safe out there, girls!
I'm not sure that their choreographer Mikiko ever takes a break. Besides BABYMETAL, she also choreographs for Sakura Gakuin and @onefive, with Perfume on staging and choreography, and for her own troupe elevenplay.
If you're looking for any more Babymetal going forward, specifically for you guys I think Ijime Dame Zettai at sonisphere 2014 and Akatsuki live at Black Night might be good options. The former being a song about ending bullying forever, and the latter being a solo song for Su (the lead singer) with tons of power.
I would recommend the song Megitsune from their first album. It is the song that got me hooked on the band and the song I always return to. Thank you for your reactions! :)
Okay, so a few more BABYMETAL songs to check out: BABYMETAL Death (from the Legend 1997 concert) Rondo of Nightmare (w/ Gods of Mischief intro) Headbanger (from the Legend 1997 concert) Distortion Enjoy!
@@areader2253 they've heard 2 songs bro. How the hell do they know if they like whatever more when they've only heard 2 songs and every single song is completely different from each other. They might like Onidari Daisakusen, or Megitsune.
BABYMETAL "Megitsune Live At Budokan Red Night" ruclips.net/video/PUkzu1IJW4w/видео.html BABYMETAL- IN THE NAME OF カッコよすぎるCOOL 👍‼音源🔊→LIVE AT DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL 2018 P-17 ruclips.net/video/NALHHbnZbPs/видео.html
BabyMetal runs a gambit of genres. Some of their harder stuff is awesome. I personally love "Death" but don't advise it for a casual viewer. I do agree that Rondo of Nightmare w/Mischiefs of God into is incredible.
⚡ 💕 / 🌶 🌞 That's great. You went for the party tune. : ) This is a Summer festival song. "Matsuri Da!" (It's a festival!) I wasn't aware of him before this collaboration, but F.HERO is a well known rapper in Thailand. His rap was all in Thai. The lyrics in the rap section even mention Som Tam (spicy Thai papaya salad). This one was filmed at Yokohama Arena on the second of two nights, so everyone knew to bring a towel to wave, or to get one from the merch stand before the show started. Original member Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) announced she was leaving the group for health reasons in October 2018, but had not been on stage with BABYMETAL for a year before that. They announced at their first concert of 2019 (the night before this one) that a dancing support role would be rotating between three new "Avengers". They are Riho Sayashi (former Morning Musume), Kano Fujihira (Sakura Gakuin), and Momoko Okazaki (a Sakura Gakuin graduate). This music video has Kano, along with lead singer Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) and the other original member, Moametal (Moa Kikuchi). BTW, I'm still recommending 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!': ruclips.net/video/I2vuKOmd1js/видео.html
I would recommend "The One" to hear a different side of them. Their coordination and stage shows is a big part of it, and try to imagine dancing like that and manage not to sound out of breath! I can barely walk fast and talk without getting out of breath ;)
First and foremost you must understand that every song is completely different. They delve into every genre of music you can think of. From traditional Japanese folk music in Megitsune, to death metal in Sis Anger. From Ska in YAVA! to a symphonic ballad in No Rain No Rainbow. They even do Scandinavian folk metal like Meta Taro and Pirate metal like Oh Majinai! They have so much variety. You cannot judge them on just 1 or 2 songs. Keep listening, you'll get it.
Don’t forget the more “traditional” western sounding metal with “Distortion”. I say that because of the heaviness of the song, the screams and growls in it like so many heavy metal songs from the west.
Don't know how much you know about guitar players but a left handed player are rare. This band has a female left handed guitarist. FROZEN CROWN - In The Dark .The male guitarist has a great voice.I think you will be surprised.
Nice reaction again. It seems like you cope better with the kawaii side of Babymetal when it is coupled with their more fun songs rather than the bigger contrast when the song is more obviously the sort of metal that might more usually be expected to take itself seriously. If I'm right its no bad thing, they have a lot of good fun songs.
This song is, no fooling, about a spicy Thai green papaya salad. You should be aware that Babymetal songs are all different. They blend genres like no one else. Some suggestions for you if you'd like to hear more from them... Rondo of Nightmare - a solo by the lead singer with lead-in solos from the band - ruclips.net/video/8WBDiLMNZcE/видео.html No Rain, No Rainbow (Legend S) - a more "pure" solo - ruclips.net/video/pDgqo6fcliY/видео.html Sis Anger - the other two get to sing - ruclips.net/video/BZLZcoWZKN0/видео.html
Just watched this reaction with a big smile on my face. That was really fun, and I also agree on how important it is to not drop right away before checking out more of their content. Believe it or not, you might not like one or two songs, but you definitely will be surprised if you keep listening to them.
I actually don't think songs like GC and Karate are good starters because they are laced with the "gimmicks" especially in the music videos, whereas a lot of the live or later songs are more representative of the whole point of Babymetal which is in the performance.
@@kebobs3727 I think you always need the gimmicks to pull a newbie into something new. You don't give them the full experience right from the beginning, cause they aren't able to process it anyway, like you who is experienced with their work. Newbies need appetizers. And for Babymetal I would have chosen Karate or Megitsune.
@@TheSniatch I don't think they are super tuned into the specifics of metal genres. 'Road of Resistance' is definitely more of a classic power metal or speed metal song. Still great that they landed on one that they really liked. Nothing wrong with Kawaii Festival Rap Metal. : )
Glad to see you ladies start to understand why Babymetal has such a huge appeal, and I think the decider for you would be if you checked out the music video for their very first song - "Doki Doki Morning". For context - the song was their first song ever and it released in October 2011; The lead singer was 13 and the other two girls were 11. Yes, 13 and 11 years old.
The song is about summer represented by spicy Thai papaya salad. F. Hero is a Thai rapper who designed his rap with the cadence of the sound of mashing unripened papaya in a mortar and pestle.
If you like their more recent music, I'd recommend starlight. It's tribute song to Yui-metal, the girl (who did dance and scream) who left the BABYMETAL and to Mikio Fujioka one of the Kami -band guitarists who died in 2018
By the way the song is about a spicy papaya Thai salad. F.Hero is a well known Thai rapper who was asked to not only perform but he wrote the rap lyrics (in Thai).
Y'all are hilarious! Have you heard *The Warning* ? They are 3 sisters from Mexico, 2 still in their teens. Their cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman went viral 6 years ago (21+ million views) and now they are working on their 3rd album and have had to postpone a 30-city North American tour. This is Dust to Dust, from their Queen of the Murder Scene album, a girl’s descent into murder and madness. And the drummer sings lead on this song *while drumming* ! ruclips.net/video/yV8gpIrIR9s/видео.html
Something to remember about BABYMETAL. You don't expect, you experience. Every BABYMETAL song while the same style (kawaii metal) is a completely different experience. Also, only BABYMETAL can so casually sing about food and make it so epic (Yes, this song is about papaya in summer 😂😂)
The song blends 3 languages (Japanese, Thai, and English bits) and its actually part of Babymetal's theme to present mysteries to pull apart. The overall lyrical meaning of Papaya is a reference to Thai summer-time treats, but it's mixed with some slang that means "live how you wish" - so it basically says "Grab some papaya, let's party, bring it on". A sort of rebellion from the typical everyday reserved nature of Japanese culture. All metaphors and slang aside... It''s a song about papaya the fruit, but somehow totally bad-ass.
Gotta give the girls credit for jumping around the whole time, and they do that for almost every song at their shows. I suggest watch "Karate" next. Extra kudos for closing with Metallica's "Four Horsemen"! It's in my top 5 favorite songs!
This is interesting, you like the songs that are middle of the pack for me. I don't dislike Pa Pa Ya, but somehow I feared your reaction to this more than I feared your reaction to Road of Resistance. I'm really glad you appreciated it. I'm trying to come up with new recommendations based on this knowledge, but somehow I'm drawing a blank. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to come up with something. Still do recommend Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro though, I'm sure you'll love it.
It was a wonderful experience helping you at subway today thanks for the name of your page I'm a huge metal fan plus I love watching people's reactions to it!!
I agree with her, I love that I have no idea what they're saying. Someone asked me one time what they were saying and my reply was "I have no fucking idea but I absolutely love it!!"
Band Maid is another group from Japan that is also Kawaii metal and they do all their own interments and singing also. I challenge you to look into them. I have been a follower of BBABYMETAL for about 4 years and wish that I found them sooner I love the energy they give and a rebirth in that of the music they have worked to make and be part of starting the Kawaii genre. I saw them on their last tour in the U.S. this past year.
Everyone reacts to BabyMetal the same. First song is “what did I just listen to”. Then the second or third song it’s more of “ ok this is actually cool”. They started as a fusion of Japanese pop music and heavy metal. That’s why they have so much of the choreography and dancing with the metal guitar and drums. And somehow it works out and pulls you in. Love your reactions and how open minded you are to new groups. Not enough people give different music a chance and always love to see people open to new music
Since you liked the backing band so much (they are absolutely outstanding musicians) you should definitely check out "Rondo of Nightmare with Mischief of God Intro". In the Mischief of Gods Intro the Kami band get to show off and each have there solo part.
Who would've thought a tropical fruit can be made into a metal song hahaha yeah we asians are weird sometimes but hey if it works it works. There is no need to understand the song this is a party song so not much understanding needed 🤣🤣🤣
Headbanger and baby metal death both from the legend of 1997 concert. then look for BxMxC. There's only fan cam for this last song The stuff from Sweden is pretty clean This is a wow factor. This is one of their newest songs
Kawaii culture is actually part of punk culture in Japan, and so is Lolita culture. America stans their sisters in satin and lace. I see you guys covered Headbanger, but one of my favorites is Megitsune. It's one of their older ones and incorporates Japanese imagery and instruments into it.
As I sometimes like to comment on these videos “You are now __ song(s) into your BABYMETAL free trial. __ more song(s) and you will have a lifetime membership in the fox hole!”
BABYMETAL - THE ONE is partially in English and has a hell of a lot of emotion in it. Point of fact that their native tongue is Japanese and she kills this song that has English in it.
If you like sci-fi, check out Coheed and Cambria. They’re albums span a huge, conceptual sci-fi universe. Check out either “Welcome Home” or “In Keeping if Silent Earth:3”
hi, i'm new here! i wanna say 2 things. 1: this is wholesome 2: check out the song Machi Bhasad by the band Bloodywood. they are an Indian metal band with English lines incorporated into their music, originally a cover band but now with several original songs, they're a relatively small band by comparison to the big names but they do have a decent following. this song in particular that i have recommended was a song they put together for a ubisoft game called Beyond Good and Evil 2 which ended up not being used in the game, and is the song that i discovered them from. But they also have other songs that cover heavy topics like depression (Jee Veeryay), political activism for the younger generation(Ari Ari), bullying and forgiveness(my personal favorite and honestly a second recommendation, a song that is called Endurant.) they use traditional Indian instruments in combination with modern metal instruments which gives their music an incredibly unique style. and honestly, their music just lifts me up.
I think you guys liked this one more cause it was more structured and less chaotic. Road of Resistance as a first song can be a lot to take in. It's still my favourite song though! I agree with Kebobs here. Next songs for you guys should probably be Ijime, Dame, Zettai live in the UK and Akatsuki live at Budokan Black Night. Have a great day/night!
If you’re branching out into all the various genres, I heavily recommend you check out these metal bands: Eluveitie - Havoc (Celtic), The Hu - Wolf Totem (Mongolian), Combichrist - Get Your Body Beat (Industrial), Korn - Freak on a Leash (great example of old school Korn) or Rotting in Vain (New Korn), Unleash the Archers - Awakening (Epic quest kind of music), Crafle of Filth - Temptation (Black Metal) and Slipknot - Vermillion pt.2 , Nero Forte or Solway Firth -though I’ll admit I’m biased, I like any Slipknot. lol
Your should checkout a band called Flaw. 2 really good songs by them to be introduced are “Payback” and “Whole” off their debut album titled ‘Through The Eyes.’ Another song I could recommend is “My Letter.”
I love BabyMetal they’re in my top 5. If you like this song you’ll like some of their others like Gimmie Chocolate, Death, rondo of nightmare, iine, uki uki midnight, doki doki morning, karate, and the one (English version) i’d also like to hear what y’all think of Band-Maid’s day dreaming, thrill, Ooparts, time, start over. GIRLFRIEND’s KisekiRush, mirailist, and Yonsoku. Roselia’s louder, hidamari Rodonaito. Van Halen’s eruption (Live without a net version)
I think you would like Shanti Shanti Shanti too if you like this song. I agree that they are better now they are older, but most fans seem to prefer them when they were kids, which is a little sad IMO. Another song I really like from their new album is Kagerou. This is the last time they played it before coronavirus shut everything down, and it's a great performance: ruclips.net/video/9gavQbmfU2Q/видео.html
I don’t think it’s that they prefer them when they were kids. I think it is that most of their catalog of music came out when they were, and has the most videos, so that is what people see when they think of BABYMETAL. Don’t forget the hell year they had as a group in 2018, which is a big line in the sand of things for them and how much change they HAD to go through to get to now after Yui left. The new album is really good with a lot of excellent and fun songs, but several don’t have quite the same feel. I personally like the new album a lot, but they collaborated on A LOT of songs compared to their previous albums. Also, several songs have synthesized music, not necessarily proper instrumentals, so some feel like it doesn’t have that BABYMETAL sound to it, if you want to call it that. I know they can’t be pinned down to one type of sound, but a vast majority of their songs have traditional instrumentals, while this album has its fair share of synthesized music. I really like the new album and Su’s voice has only ever gotten better, but I also understand the older fans (I’ve only been one a few months) who feel like this was a massive departure from before. Like I said, though, they HAD TO change to some degree after Yui left. It will be interesting to see where things go after this whole pandemic is over and whenever they put out another album.
Don't have preconceived expectations of it having to fit your idea of metal, the reason BABYMETAL are so popular is they make their own rules and their number one rule is No LABELS, they are just BABYMETAL,,,
The whole thing is that Babymetal can't be considered as a classic Metal Band but more on the "Japanese Idol Music Field " that's really MORE complex and full of stuff that no japanese usually can't understand at all :D The first album was a crazy mix, the second more classic, the third one back with crazy stuff but with many external collaborations like the one in this song :D And Babymetal can be really only appreciated when you are with the crowd and survive it :P
I disagree on your first point. Just because they don’t conform to being one type of metal doesn’t make them not a classic metal band. Similarly, their origin shouldn’t be held up as what they are. They have proven time and time again that metal doesn’t have to be defined in such black and white terms. I’ve never seen another metal band crucify their lead singer as a birthday celebration to make them a metal god...or just to crucify them. If that isn’t metal, then I want to know what the f@&k is! Yes, they started as idols, but they quickly moved away from that because the purpose of the group was to bring metal back in Japan, where it was deeply underground and never heard on the radio. That is like saying because you were X type of person as a child that you can’t ever change and be something different. This might sound defensive, but I’m meaning it to be very conversational in tone. Regardless, they are just good and can be enjoyed by everyone from kids to rockin’ grannies!
Granny Hayes...if you love good instrumental...and Japanese girls who play their own instruments...watch: Band-Maid - Onset Its an instrumental-only song they use mid-concert to give a break to their singer. Its an all girl group and the play their own instruments. Band-Maid is a rock band though, while Baby Metal is a metal band that experiments with other flavors of music. Band-Maid is topping the rock charts in Japan right now and are becoming crazy popular, even at an international level. They're nothing like Baby Metal (structurally), but I think you'll like them more.
If you are interested in more Japanese lady rock bands, there are BAND-MAID, LOVEBITES, Mary's Blood, Fate Gear or Aldious and there are many others. I would recommend for a starter "Domination" by BAND-MAID or "When Destinies Align" by LOVEBITES. There is a young lady who plays guitar in Mary's Blood named Saki and she is one of the best metal guitarists anywhere these days, "Marionette" is a great starter for Mary's Blood. The main difference is that they all play their own instruments.
I’m iffy on that one. Between that and “Doki Doki Morning”, I think the J-Pop background comes through hard and they might get turned off from them. I mean, they didn’t overly like “Road of Resistance” because it “didn’t sound like metal”, when it is clearly power metal and is usually the second song that pulls people into the third song, which hooks them after hearing GC as the first song. Having said that, for all I know they’ll love “Gimme Chocolate” and prove me horribly wrong! 🤣🤣
If you want to listen to the Babymetal song that everybody knows, and is the most recognised song by them, you should definitely listen to "Babymetal - Gimme Chocolate". It was my first introduction to Babymetal, and a real WTF experience, because I could not understand what I had just experienced. But it is now one of my most favourite Babymetal songs because of that experience! I just discovered Babymetal on January 1. And was so lucky to get tickets for their very first concert in Copenhagen, Denmark on February 5. That was actually sold out long before I got to know of them. So it was very special to me. But I can tell you this much. If you keep listening to songs by Babymetal, you will go down the "Fox Hole", as they call it because they believe believe that they are driven by the Fox God. 🦊 There is a whole lore about Babymetal. It's really amazing! But Babymetal is definitely not a cult!!! Anyway one of the great things about Babymetal is that none of the songs sound alike. So you will always hear something different with every song you hear. And as you progress in to the Babymetal Univers, you will get to learn about the fun and playful Black Babymetal which is Yui and Moas part of Babymetal. The front singer is Suzuka Nakamoto aka Su-metal. And the two original sidekicks are Yui Mizuno aka Yui-metal, and Moa Kikuchi aka Moa-metal. And I say original because Yui has left Babymetal because of health related reasons. Today she is only partially replaced by a group of dancers they call the Avengers who are 3 girls who perform the dance instead of Yui. The three girls are Riho, Momoko and Kano. They don't sing, only dance! Babymetal has said that Yui will always be a member of Babymetal, even though Yui has said that she will not be returning to Babymetal, and will concentrate on her own solo career. But there are rumours in the Asian Babymetal fan community, that Yui will return for the Babymetal 10'th Anniversary Concert. So everybody is hoping it's true. Last I will give you some short facts about Babymetal. The fans of Babymetal are called "The One", and Babymetal has made an anthem to their fans called "The One" which they have made in a Japanese version as well as an English version, so you should definitely check it out. Babymetal started as part of the Idol group Sakura Gakuin, but became such an unexpected success, that Su, Yui and Moa got to keep doing Babymetal after they were finished with Sakura Gakuin, and Babymetal became an independent unit under the Amuse agency. Babymetal has broken several records through their career, which I won't go into because I don't know them of the top of my head. But they have recently been voted one of the best 10 metal bands of all time, which I feel is well deserved as they have brought new life to an otherwise dieing genre. And they have even created a new sub-genre of metal, as you learned they call Kawaii Metal. I think they are amazing, and to know that they have already been doing this for 10 years since they were 10 and 12 years old is just mind-blowing! 🤯
You are already down the Fox Hole. Every time you think you can nail down BabyMetal's style, you can't. The one thing you can guarantee is that with every song and every performance they bring the fire. My 10 year old daughter and I saw them live in San Francisco and it was epic. The interesting thing about BabyMetal is, if you go back and read the lyrics while listening to the song, it makes sense. And so you can know that the EMOTION of the song and performance relates the concept of the song. Kawaii = Kuh-Why-E (kinda like Hawai'i) I think you will both like BabyMetal Death (Legends 1997) Rondo of Nightmare (Mischiefs of God Intro) Distortion Official - prepare yourself for the bass drum attack

One of the strengths of Baby Metal is the fact they are so versatile. Just about every song is different. To give you an example. BxMxCx is 100's different to this one...versus Ashanti,Ashanti,Ashanti...vs Road of resistance. All equally good.
More Babymetal definitely! -Babymetal Death -Headbanger -Megitsune -Gimme Chocolate If you want more from their newest album Metal Galaxy: -Da Da Dance -Oh Majinai (no official video) -Shine (no official mv) -Distortion
When it comes to Babymetal, the way to approach them is..... "Don't think... Feel". The smiles and laughs you demonstrated here is what Babymetal is all about. Two words, three letters each.... F.U.N. and J.O.Y. Even people who don't like them tend to develop what I call "The Babymetal Smile". Being a 56 years old grandfather of five whose been in the audience for this song on three different occasions, I can testing it's all about F.U.N. and J.O.Y. and that you find both a-plenty within the fanbase. Concerts are less a concert than they are a celebration. BTW.... To my Grandkids, I'm not a Grand Pa.... I'm "Poppa Dude." :)
there is also a vid around where rob halford [singer for judus priest] sings with them its great to watch him kinda of past the metal torch to the girls
I'm always glad to stumble upon comments like this. No toxicity, just interesting information. Thanks m8.
Definitely recommend you guys try their song headbanger!
Oh yeah they would love the live version, I know I do!
Rick Wagner well Mori has accused/trolled Momoko of wanting to take Mikikos place... I’m think she’d help out to lessen the load if asked. ;-)
I’m loving Akatsuki at the moment. Great lyrics also for this song.
Man I knew their workout routine must've been tough but imagining Su do that is just wow
And here is Akatsuki from Budokan Black Night ;)

I would recommend the song Megitsune from their first album. It is the song that got me hooked on the band and the song I always return to.
Thank you for your reactions! :)
I was about to say the same thing, thats my personal favorite song from them and i think its one of the best songs to start with
Agree broo ! it's number #1 Babymetal's hardest slapping song
Also a crowd fav. The audience goes freaking MENTAL from the 1st notes Of Megitsune & I LOVE IT every time xD
Okay, so a few more BABYMETAL songs to check out:
BABYMETAL Death (from the Legend 1997 concert)
Rondo of Nightmare (w/ Gods of Mischief intro)
Headbanger (from the Legend 1997 concert)
Distortion
Enjoy!
More of Babymetal songs:
"Gimme chocolate!" ruclips.net/video/WIKqgE4BwAY/видео.html
"Karate" ruclips.net/video/GvD3CHA48pA/видео.html
They mentioned in the video that they like their new stuff more where they're older, so I wish people would stop recommending those older videos.
@@areader2253 they've heard 2 songs bro. How the hell do they know if they like whatever more when they've only heard 2 songs and every single song is completely different from each other. They might like Onidari Daisakusen, or Megitsune.

Oii. You've taken my name and color! Lol.
Nekrogoblikon: no one survives. Funny and a great song people haven't heard
yeeeeeee
Yes! Nekrogoblikon is amazing!
Thanks!!
I wanna see this happen
Zoot (the bassist) owns a venue in Los Angeles, there's goblin art all over it, it's awesome lol
y'all should listen to rondo of nightmare with mischiefs of god into
I second this.
YES
BabyMetal runs a gambit of genres. Some of their harder stuff is awesome. I personally love "Death" but don't advise it for a casual viewer.
I do agree that Rondo of Nightmare w/Mischiefs of God into is incredible.
Best band intro ever!
⚡ 💕 / 🌶 🌞
That's great. You went for the party tune. : )
This is a Summer festival song. "Matsuri Da!" (It's a festival!)
I wasn't aware of him before this collaboration, but F.HERO is a well known rapper in Thailand.
I know where this leads to. 😂 After liking F-Hero so much the Two Rocking Grannies will buy Papayas and make some salad.
It's Summer Time! 🦊🤘
Being in the room when they play this is just about the best fun you can have standing up
First and foremost you must understand that every song is completely different.
Karate is one of my favorite songs by them, i can't get over those vocals from Su...
Rondo of Nightmare - a solo by the lead singer with lead-in solos from the band - ruclips.net/video/8WBDiLMNZcE/видео.html
No Rain, No Rainbow (Legend S) - a more "pure" solo - ruclips.net/video/pDgqo6fcliY/видео.html
Sis Anger - the other two get to sing - ruclips.net/video/BZLZcoWZKN0/видео.html
Just watched this reaction with a big smile on my face. That was really fun, and I also agree on how important it is to not drop right away before checking out more of their content. Believe it or not, you might not like one or two songs, but you definitely will be surprised if you keep listening to them.
Hahaha! I find it hilarious that you prefer one of their least metal songs over one of their most metal ones :-D
I think they didn't had the best start with the first one. They should have started with something more accessible like "Karate".
Maybe this sounds more metal to them because it's more aggressive and has more growls xD
Love u 2. Keep on whatching Babymetal !!! Regards from Germany
The song is about summer represented by spicy Thai papaya salad. F. Hero is a Thai rapper who designed his rap with the cadence of the sound of mashing unripened papaya in a mortar and pestle.
So glad to see two lovely ladies enjoying BABYMETAL! Love this band!!
I'll throw a recommendation on the pile here... Devin Townsend, Kingdom, Live for EMGtv.
Such a sick performance. Good recommendation.
Stages of Baby metal goes from shock , disbelief, hatred, just bearable, slight enjoyment, fully engrossed
It's like alcohol recovery in reverse lol
Granny Hayes, I think we’re kindred spirits. The masculine guttural screaming is my favorite type of vocals.
If you like their more recent music, I'd recommend starlight. It's tribute song to Yui-metal, the girl (who did dance and scream) who left the BABYMETAL and to Mikio Fujioka one of the Kami -band guitarists who died in 2018
It may certainly be a tribute to Mikio yes, but nothing to do with Yui though
GIMME CHOCOLATE!! - BABY METAL
THATS MY FAVORITE SONG FROM THEM !!!
The best of babymetal is their live performance. The band is amazing and the girls never miss a beat.
It was a wonderful experience helping you at subway today thanks for the name of your page I'm a huge metal fan plus I love watching people's reactions to it!!
Headbangerr is the best they do....awesome live
This is one Rob Zombie's favorite groups. The song is referring to the papaya (Fruit, native to Mexico and surrounding areas)
I've never seen a channel grow so fast. Great idea gals.
I love how you're spreading "Analyze Before You Criticize", such a helpful thing in life.
The previous song is now blocked on RUclips by the way. This is great :)
hello ladies,
I am 66 years old metal fan from Germany. (since 1969: Whole Lotta Love by Led Zepplin).
You guys are just great. I love you 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
it's one of those songs that you can turn your brain off and just enjoy. My kids put this on and watch me bounce around in my chair dancing.
Since you liked the backing band so much (they are absolutely outstanding musicians) you should definitely check out "Rondo of Nightmare with Mischief of God Intro".
In the Mischief of Gods Intro the Kami band get to show off and each have there solo part.
You 2 are Sooo fun...Live baby metal....Hype Energy....and Their Lead singer,....Great Vocals
"Be a critical thinker"..very well said my beautiful Grandmas..
You may have noticed one of the girls was different, that is because Yuimetal left the group and they got 3 back up dancers.
BABYMETAL - Ijime Dame Zettai at sonisphere 2014 (Ijime, Dame, Zettai means No More, Bullying, Forever)
What's even more amazing is how they sound best live. A lot of their songs are recorded live
Now it's time for IRON MAIDEN! Hallowed by the Name, live 1982, Fear of the Dark, live 2001, and The Trooper, live 2011!
No one better live than Iron Maiden 👍🤘🤘🤘
Kawaii culture is actually part of punk culture in Japan, and so is Lolita culture. America stans their sisters in satin and lace. I see you guys covered Headbanger, but one of my favorites is Megitsune. It's one of their older ones and incorporates Japanese imagery and instruments into it.
We do love some Papaya, specially during hot season,
You are usually hooked by the third song. These 3 girls and the Kami Band are amazing.
As I sometimes like to comment on these videos “You are now __ song(s) into your BABYMETAL free trial. __ more song(s) and you will have a lifetime membership in the fox hole!”
Yes .In my head for WEEKS..SAME HERE
BABYMETAL - THE ONE is partially in English and has a hell of a lot of emotion in it. Point of fact that their native tongue is Japanese and she kills this song that has English in it.
the chorus of this song sounds like an opening of a anime
It takes a few listens but Su-Metal does sing English as well. Kawaii Metal is a brand new genre created by the producer behind Baby Metal
If you like sci-fi, check out Coheed and Cambria. They’re albums span a huge, conceptual sci-fi universe. Check out either “Welcome Home” or “In Keeping if Silent Earth:3”
hi, i'm new here! i wanna say 2 things.
1: this is wholesome
2: check out the song Machi Bhasad by the band Bloodywood. they are an Indian metal band with English lines incorporated into their music, originally a cover band but now with several original songs, they're a relatively small band by comparison to the big names but they do have a decent following. this song in particular that i have recommended was a song they put together for a ubisoft game called Beyond Good and Evil 2 which ended up not being used in the game, and is the song that i discovered them from.
I will always consider this one of their best songs. Reminds me of their song Chocolate though.
I wish my grannies were as metal as you guys!
Don't have preconceived expectations of it having to fit your idea of metal, the reason BABYMETAL are so popular is they make their own rules and their number one rule is No LABELS, they are just BABYMETAL,,,
The whole thing is that Babymetal can't be considered as a classic Metal Band but more on the "Japanese Idol Music Field " that's really MORE complex and full of stuff that no japanese usually can't understand at all :D
The first album was a crazy mix, the second more classic, the third one back with crazy stuff but with many external collaborations like the one in this song :D
And Babymetal can be really only appreciated when you are with the crowd and survive it :P
Oh love this band❤️
My favorite BABYMETAL song closely followed by Megitsune and Karate as tied for 2nd.
Granny Hayes...if you love good instrumental...and Japanese girls who play their own instruments...watch: Band-Maid - Onset
Its an instrumental-only song they use mid-concert to give a break to their singer.
I think you ladies will like ...give me chocolate ...by baby metal also check that one out🤟🤟👍👍
I’m iffy on that one.
Your videos are fun. I enjoy their older music but to each their own
I actually really like this song... totally a favorite
I’d love to see y’all watch Mudvayne either Dig or Happy? Great fun little show!
Best way to have a spicy Papaya-salad! :-)
Kawaii = Kuh-Why-E (kinda like Hawai'i)
I think you will both like

Yeah another fun Baby Metal song is Gimme Chocolate

One of the strengths of Baby Metal is the fact they are so versatile. Just about every song is different. To give you an example. BxMxCx is 100's different to this one...versus Ashanti,Ashanti,Ashanti...vs Road of resistance. All equally good.
Just a quick thing, it is “Shanti, Shanti, Shanti”. I suspect your autocorrect got involved as it just tried to when I was typing the song title out.
Su-metal's vocals are amazing
React to BABYMETAL with her song Headbanger
You two should check out Ningen Isu Heartless Scat three Japanese gentleman in their 50s rocking out.
More Babymetal definitely!
-Babymetal Death
-Headbanger
-Megitsune
-Gimme Chocolate
If you want more from their newest album Metal Galaxy:
-Da Da Dance
-Oh Majinai (no official video)
-Shine (no official mv)
-Distortion
This is 2RG going down a fox shaped rabbit hole...
Great comment, but I’m actually a little disappointed your grandkids don’t call you “Poppa-Metal”! You should fix that.
there is also a vid around where rob halford [singer for judus priest] sings with them its great to watch him kinda of past the metal torch to the girls
If you wanna hear harscore japanese metal, there is maximum the hormone
