I can relate SO much to seeing actual characters, images, etc, in patterns of tiles, walls, paintings, and others. As a kid, I remember just sitting on the toilet or in the shower just looking around, and if I looked long or hard enough, I would find a shape that resembles something I’ve seen before or reminds me of something.

My school story happened in computer class around 5th grade. We were playing one of those typing games and we were all supposed to play this game where it's like, you're in this submarine being chased by a shark and you're given a bunch of words to type, and if you type too slow or make too many mistakes the shark catches up and eats you. It keeps track of your typing speed and accuracy the whole time, averaging it out as you play and then gives you the final results if the shark doesn't get you by the end. Well my 5th grade brain figured out that this game (made in the early 2000s) wasn't capable of making you die fast enough from a really bad start. The shark would just increment closer to you based on certain intervals, apparently with set maximums. In other words, what I figured out was that I could just hold down the A key for almost the entire first half the level (each was only about a minute long), and then if I typed really fast and accurately immediately afterwards, the shark would get really close but not get me, and as long as I did pretty average for the rest of the level, I'd survive. This would greatly curve my "average speed" by the end of the level. I'd say back then I could type about 55-60 wpm, but my stats at the end would say I typed 110-120 wpm (which technically I guess I did). One day we were having a stupid little competition with some dinky little prize - probably a candy bar or something - for whoever had the fastest typing speed (not counting accuracy). I obviously technically won doing this but was immediately scolded by the teacher and even given a demerit for "Not taking class seriously." Looking back that really pisses me off that I essentially got punished for thinking outside the box. I followed all the rules given to me, but because I used a tactic no one else thought of and exploited an old, cheap technology, I got punished.
Had another fun one in high school where we had a substitute teacher for like a week. The main teacher was gone for some trip or something all week. In this class, we were allowed to get into groups to work on this paper, so we all came up with the EXACT same answers. The best part is we obviously brought this up with the substitute teacher and he refused to give an explanation.
There's a difference between innovating and "thinking outside the box" and straight up cheating. You didn't learn how to do the skill (typing) faster, you just found a way to look better than you really are. It's dishonest and not productive.
I dont dislike the "new" people they have on at all but Ding Dong and Julian will always be the best imo. They would make really niche references that were funny even if you didn't get them. It was just so chill how they'd switch from being goofy to talking about their opinions on games/TV shows or whatever.

The general rule was that big kids weren’t allowed to pick on or tease any one smaller than them, but the smaller kids could always get away with anything. I always always bigger and taller than anyone around me so I got bullied and the system fucking protected those shitters. It’s probably the reason I like oneyplays now tbh.

Yeah. Growing up as a brown Native American with a Mexican name. Before I even knew what racism was, I was always singled out by this old grizzled proto Karen of a teacher in a st paul elementary school. One fine example, was as a native, I had longer hair that went past my shoulders. I was in music class, and people were singing for an assignment, I pull my hair behind my ears habitually. And the old Karen stops the entire class and starts yelling at me for making fun of the student and interrupting the class. As a naturally shy and quiet student, I somehow mustered the strength to tell her that I was just pulling my hair back because it was uncomfortably hot that day. Oh course she didn't believe me and she keeps me after class and makes me sing my song again after class in front of her and her assistant. Both times louder after the first. It was so odd. Being that young and feeling how.wrong the situation was despite.not being experienced with racism at that age. Especially from a teacher that you were supposed to trust. Luckily, due to me only having a single parent as a guardian, I had a proto therapist once a week, and I finally mustered the strength to tell her that she was singling me out and even as a child I could tell it was because of my skin color. Luckily not long after that, that teacher became docile and soon was relieved of her duties or forced to quit. All I know is I never saw her again. Thank God.

A good method I've learned to adapt if you're frequently getting interrupted in conversation is to just keep talking. Don't raise your voice, don't cut yourself off, just finish your sentence. As cringe as it sounds you gotta treat it like a war of attrition. It won't fix the problem right away but eventually you'll notice people interrupting you less frequently

I dont dislike the "new" people they have on at all but Ding Dong and Julian will always be the best imo. They would make really niche references that were funny even if you didn't get them. It was just so chill how they'd switch from being goofy to talking about their opinions on games/TV shows or whatever.

Damn when they talk about schools, it reminds me of how fucked my school system was. The general rule was that big kids weren’t allowed to pick on or tease any one smaller than them, but the smaller kids could always get away with anything. I always always bigger and taller than anyone around me so I got bullied and the system fucking protected those shitters. It’s probably the reason I like oneyplays now tbh.

My biology professor in middle school did something like that with genetics and spongebob characters. It was so fucking weird.

My dad used to drink a lot, and once when I was 9 or 10 my sibling came into my room cus they heard a noise, and my dad was just drunk watching me sleep. So they said “dad?” And I woke up, and to be clear it’s like 2am, and he said “your mother and I are getting a divorce. She loves another man.” Then he walked out of the room.

I am still in contact with my birth family) and my first time in my boyfriend’s bedroom he had a pouch of the marbles. He recently let me have them.

Yeah. Growing up as a brown Native American with a Mexican name. Before I even knew what racism was, I was always singled out by this old grizzled proto Karen of a teacher in a st paul elementary school.
One fine example, was as a native, I had longer hair that went past my shoulders. I was in music class, and people were singing for an assignment, I pull my hair behind my ears habitually. And the old Karen stops the entire class and starts yelling at me for making fun of the student and interrupting the class.
As a naturally shy and quiet student, I somehow mustered the strength to tell her that I was just pulling my hair back because it was uncomfortably hot that day. Oh course she didn't believe me and she keeps me after class and makes me sing my song again after class in front of her and her assistant. Both times louder after the first.
It was so odd. Being that young and feeling how.wrong the situation was despite.not being experienced with racism at that age. Especially from a teacher that you were supposed to trust.
Luckily, due to me only having a single parent as a guardian, I had a proto therapist once a week, and I finally mustered the strength to tell her that she was singling me out and even as a child I could tell it was because of my skin color. Luckily not long after that, that teacher became docile and soon was relieved of her duties or forced to quit. All I know is I never saw her again. Thank God.

A good method I've learned to adapt if you're frequently getting interrupted in conversation is to just keep talking. Don't raise your voice, don't cut yourself off, just finish your sentence. As cringe as it sounds you gotta treat it like a war of attrition. It won't fix the problem right away but eventually you'll notice people interrupting you less frequently
when matt said cockroaches will climb into bed with you it reminded me of one time when i was 12 i was lying in bed like kinda asleep and i felt something small quickly run up my leg i open my eyes and my hamster's just standing there on my thigh staring at me a tom and jerry like chase scene later and hes back in his cage.

Once I was a kid I was sleeping but for some reason I was laying in my back and I woke up because it felt uncomfortable when I did I saw something right in front of my eyes in the sheets and I shook the sheets and a big ass spider fell on the floor I screamed for my dad and he killed it. Holy shit I had the same reaction as Chris for FF7 I was SCARED AF when I placed the bomb...I actually thought I set a real life bomb so I closed the game and not played it for a while. The noise freaked me out I couldn't think lol
goku existing would be terrifying, not because of how powerful he is, but because people come to earth to destroy it and he tries to make the fight fair for his personal enjoyment. he's willing to gamble with the lives of his loved ones and everyone else to have fun. fuck that. if someone like that existed, i would want them to give no shits about fairness, i want them to do anything they can to gain an advantage to increase the likelihood of them winning the fight and saving the world as much as possible.

When I was like 4 I dreamt that these....beings, walked through my wall. They had greyish skin, and masks on. They looked frail, and only slightly taller than me at that age. They came in through the wall, and told me that one day, when the time comes, I'll know what to do. They had masks on, blank human face looking masks. Recently, at the age of 27, they came one last time, saying the time is upon us. Two of them slowly removed their masks, and it was Cory and Cory's dad, who was fuckin' him, moanin' like a ghost.
