I'm enjoying my 5 pro. I get about 3-days, it seamlessly tracks my cardio every day and I even noticed improvements in the software. I'm pretty happy with it so far.
As a cyclist and Samsung phone owner, I'm really into this watch. The fitness data and graphics on the Samsung health app tells more about your workout than the Apple Watch - iPhone interface. (I also have an iPhone).
Great video! One quick correction at 6:09, the Apple Watch Ultra actually doesn’t have Emergency SOS via satellite. That’s only on the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro.
Great video and comparison. I have a ceramic series 6 and also the watch 5 pro and they are both amazing. I have been debating getting the watch ultra but i wish their were more color options. Im not much into silver i prefer low key graphite, black and colors like that. I am loving the health and fitness from my galaxy watch 5 pro esp the BMI features are so accurate. I am an ifbb competitor and prefer samsung health over apple. Both are good but galaxy does it better for what I do. I do have an iphone 14 pm and a galaxy s22 ultra so ill be needing a new watch for the apple soon, or just wait it out. Got love for both companies.

How are you all using the watch 5 pro to get 3 or more days of battery? Do you leave the watch at home and not touch it ? Cause, wearing it all the time with all the sensors on , I get 24 hours of battery

I have the watch 5 Pro and I use it to track workouts and walks everyday. The battery isn't the best based on this and I have to charge it every two days. That said, it is a fab watch and seems to be much more accurate than the Fitbit Versa 3 that I had previously.

I am a new viewer of your channel and for the most part its entertaining to say the least. You forgot to mention that the Galaxy watch can measure body fat composition where as the Apple watch cannot. The tracking has been the same for me on both watches...at the end of the workout, swipe right and select end!!! People are very petty!! Each ecosystem has its advantages and disadvantages. The biggest influencing factor for most...would have to be the price. The galaxy watch is $400 cheaper than the Apple watch Ultra! That being said...you would expect a $400 more watch would have more features!! I have both and they work great!

Not sure how SGW measures body fat on your wrist, but my initial thoughts are it’s going to be highly in accurate. I have a smart scale that claims it can do it and you can actually feel when it does the BF test, and even that I’d say is a very basic idea, nowhere near accurate. But I guess it’s cool it’s trying to figure that out. Also the GW based on price more compares with a standard AW, the build materials on the AW are better, and getting the watch to 100 meters is huge since recreational divers don’t go below 40m from what I recall., and dives deep require specialized equipment other than your standard scuba gear. I’d also like to see a test on battery life in the cold to test apples claims regarding resistance to extreme cold. Also would love if Apple could get the battery to last 5+ days cause I like to do multi day backpacking trips and would love to wear an AW and not have to charge it while I’m out. Also Apple should have added the gps sos messaging feature they added to the iPhone 14 pro to the watch. But the way I see it if you are in the market for a smart watch there are a lot of good options out there now depending on your preferred ecosystem and personal preferences and requirements. Which is a win for consumers.

Are you comparing the Samsung watch 5 pro lte or the WIFI version? In my usage it was only getting 2 1/2 days mix use.
I have the LTE version of the watch 5 pro. I am not sure about the 80 hour claims, but I do get between 60 and 72 hrs with my usage (no AOD).

Ik can't compare it in Belgium...you can buy Samsung watch 5 pro for around 300€ and Apple watch is 1000€...I used the watch 5 pro and was happy with battery life...the only negative is that ecg,bp only works with Samsung....other brands of Android you have to follow manual to make it work....but Apple watch only works on IOS......
I hope there will come a bigger watch 5 pro....I still find it to small in my wrist 😎

Cj where can I find that same band and color you have on the watch ultra? I had the apple watch ultra now and getting about 3 days. I had the watch 5 pro also and no lie had it 5 days not charged and by the time I did charge it I was at about 9%. I returned the watch 5 pro because Apple is my personal phone and my s22ultra is for work so made no sense to be wear 2 watches. Just my opinions. Blessings to you all.

Great video, the galaxy watch you can also watch RUclips on a really small screen. Handy if you leave your phone on your desk when visiting the toilet lol.
Fitness tracking on the Galaxy Watch gets better over time and with updates. As of now without the Pixel watch being out I believe the Galaxy Watch fitness tracking is the best you can get on Android. Pixel watch will probably have better fitness tracking since it's using Fitbit technology. I still prefer the Galaxy watch because it works really well with Samsung Ecosystem and the fitness tracking is good enough for my use case and I know in time Samsung fitness tracking will catch up. Samsung has been good at playing catch up in the past with other things.
The Pixel watch is a bust. The battery life is terrible and the watch is too small. Google messed up on this one imo. I'm going back to Apple just for the ultra watch. Nothing can compete with this beast.
I like to say the AW ultra is the m4 csl or Mercedes’ black series of the line … if you don’t like bmws or mb you’re not gonna get the value of the ultra version
Compare them with the Garmin Marq Gen 2 Adventure, In my opinion, this is the king of smart watches

Man, I really wanna know how you guys get 2 full days of battery of the Watch5 Pro. Mine have 1.5 days tops. But, ofc, I use its sensors to the maximum. Ie: while sleeping there goes 20% of battery cause I track oxygen blood levels and everything that is possible. So... Maybe 3 days for someone who doesn't enable all the features, but if you're a heavy user (training tracking, sleeping, AOD, heart rate monitoring 100% of the time), then it's comfortably one day and that's it.
I have been HATING all these reviews about connotations with these 2. But I love your review of these. Very fair. No complaints. I will say my fitness tracking on my Watch 5 Pro has been flawless. Apple features are great but 99% of us won't use those extra features. Anything over ip68 is overkill. Most people won't scuba dive with this watch and will still prefer their dive computers.
I would happily take my Apple Watch snorkeling and diving.

These Two are completely different demographics for usability. Although Samsung releasing something in the future to compete with Garmin would be interesting.
They are literally the same demographic. It's for the smart feature enthusiasts also cares about fitness.
This boils down to if you have a android or apple phone. I have a Samsung phone so i went with the galaxy watch 5 pro. I also got an amazing deal as well, traded my very old LG G watch r and they gave me £100 for it on top of the £100 that was already discounted so the galaxy watch 5 pro only cost me £229. Unbeatable value.

I have gw4 classic. I love it so much. But this apple watch looks awesome though chunky. I wish samsung can try this rectangular shape watch but both companies are lowkey competing and none wanna copy another somehow.

It just comes down to your ecosystem. Get the Ultra if you own a iPhone, get the Galaxy if you own a Android. There is nothing to discuss beside those points. I would absolutely go for the Ultra if it would be compatible to my Pixel 7 Pro. There ain't no way that I buy a iPhone just to get a nice watch... Really sad.

I currently own a Galaxy Watch 4, a Watch 5 Pro, an apple Series 7 and the Ultra. I am a TOTAL Android fan and have been since the very beginning...but apple CLEARLY makes the better watch - and it isn't even close.

Well, you're getting more in the Apple Watch than the Samsung watch. However, if your phone is already a Samsung, it makes sense to go with the Samsung watch and get the benefits of a unified ecosystem.
@@rangerrecon Apple has no body composition or blood pressure monitoring. This is a big deal for some. Samsung Watch 5 Pro has this and a better battery life.
@@simdencard For some people, offline maps is a bus deal and the Apple Watch doesn’t have that (yet), so that makes the Garmin Epix a better choice. At the end of the day, people will look to purchase whatever suits their needs best. For me, the Apple Watch is the best choice.

Definitely nice to see Apple closing the gap on some things! I, unknowingly at the time, fell into the ecosystem about 10 years ago, so when a watch came out it was pretty nice, especially since it was tailored for iPhones. Fast forward to now, the ultra reminds me of an old Suunto watch I had when I was in the military. It seems so much more capable than traditional Apple Watches. I love the aesthetic, definitely seems more of a masculine style rather than a sleeker unisex look.

I have both. Love the screen size of ultra but feel Samsung makes it easier to use as I can use phone screen to control. Sleep both are similar but Samsung tracks blood oxygen and snoring this is great if you have sleep apnea. Galaxy has great battery two days min, ultra leaves galaxy in dust . Two days on ultra still have 60% battery left. Also ultra is mini phone it shows my ring app , myQ app which I use to open main sliding gate of the house . Ultra is twice as expensive. You can get galaxy for price of series which can not compare to galaxy
Love your reviews only think in my humble opinion that comparing a watch that is nearly twice the price as the other is not comparable. If Samsung where to invest in a watch as expensive as the Apple watch maybe we would be able to compare them in a fair way.

I just wish that Samsung would have more integration with third party apps like the Apple watch does, because if it did, Samsung would be my primary go to. I don't think the Galaxy watch comes close to the functionality and integration like the Apple watch. It's odd because the phones are totally opposite.
Apple watch has extensive customization of it's screen. The display doesn't need to be round to offer customizable faces. As for display shape, yes - certainly there are people that prefer a round/traditional display. I think that like anything that is a Samsung vs. Apple product, it comes down to the ecosystem. You will get so much more out of the product if your using a product that matches your ecosystem. The alternative, depending on your needs, is going outside of the ecosystem with something like a Garmin Epix, but you will be paying a little more.

I have seen other channels review smart watches, such as the Apple Ultra, and the reviews and comparisons were more specific, detailed, and objective. I believe that this channel is going to be revisiting the watches for updates as the watches are utilized and compared, but this 'review/comparison' baffled me a little. It doesn't didn't seem either objective or informative.

He also spoke of the Apple pack that gives you loads of features. This review os for people like me who need an overview. If you want extreme details rainmaker got you on that .
For me the usability of the screen is terrible with a round watch. Had the galaxy watch 4 with my s22 ultra and hated using the round screen. It felt unnatural. I see what Apple means when they say that they feel the square screen on their watch offers better usability and readability

Good review and you made some good points. I have the 5 pro from samsung but honestly that new apple watch just looks awesome and I want one ! I don't have an iPhone right now I have the s22 ultra and fold 4 so I am thinking next year rumors are there's gonna be an iPhone 15 ultra supposedly so if that happens I think I'll keep the fold and get an iPhone for the first time since the iPhone 5!

It’s all good! That’s amazing to get so much out of an Apple watch. Ultra too big for my wrist but low power mode on my 7 has managed to get me about two days with logging workouts

Apple Watch Ultra is better, but it's WAAAYYYYY more expensive. I purchased the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro due to this reason. My pockets ain't built like that.
