I bought the 6 Classic 2 weeks ago its a fantastic smart watch ⌚ 2.5 days of battery is for me enough 1h to 100% battery 🔋 charge
*1 h 20 minutes to 100% battery. And 2.5 days of battery - without: AoD, heartrate tracking, stress tracking, and any gps trainings. (for honesty for next readers).

@@wtfWhoIsIt i get 2.5 days with all tracking turned on. the only thing i never use is AOD. and my screen brightness is around 50% which i dont see how you could ever need it higher. AOD is a waste of battery in my opinion because when you turn your wrist it turns the screen on so its not like it effects your ability to see the screen when needed. but ive gotten 2 days with AOD on before but just didnt sleep in it.

Do you have a trade in? I got the Galaxy Watch 5 pro for $15 (thanks to discounts durring the last pre-orde with my Fold4) now I'm trading it in getting over $300 in diciunts for a new watch. So the Ultrat only cost me $300
Nevermind the battery life of galaxy watch ultra. I bought 2 galaxy watch 6 44mm. I do a full 24h with the first, put it on charge, take the second, do the same. I have 365 days battery life. 😂

They need to sort out the sensors they have on the watch currently the spo2 sensor is shocking especially during sleep

The glucose monitoring is something that's been in the news as a thing they're making progress on but not ready for the ultra.

You seem to forget there is 43mm of the 6 classic. I got it, it's massive already, I'll still charge everyday, so I can't imagine getting an even bigger and bulkier with squared-circle design just for the battery. And Samsung offered incredible deals for the unpopular 43mm version.

For the Ultra watches, they are really built as a Garmin competitor for those more adventurous than normal. With that said, you want more battery per charge if you’re out on the trail, etc. most people who buy it don’t buy it for that, but they get it anyway!
I have the 43mm classic, I usually get about 34-36 hrs. If the 47mm fit on my wrist I would have gotten it. I got the lte model for $144

Great content. As for the 700 dollar price, I always go through my career and pay monthly. It's much easier to handle. If you like high-end watches, the 7 ultra does look like the Panerai luminor chronograph. But you didn't mention the orange crown on the 7 ultra. That could be an action button or a bezel.
My last Samsung watch was the Gear 2.😢
People keep saying that the Galaxy Watch Ultra is suitable for diving but it isn't. Nowhere in Samsungs advertising have they said it can be used for diving. It has a 100m water resistance rating but this is a standard rating for watches and simply means that it can withstand 100m of water pressure momentarily. E.g. if you jump into the water or get smashed by a big wave, the water pressure can momentarily spike up to very high pressures and the watch can handle this but it CAN NOT handle the constant crushing pressure of diving, unlike the Apple Watch Ultra. If you don't believe me then search for yourself. A direct quite from Samsung "It is not suitable for high-pressure water activities and diving. It may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean". The Apple Watch Ultra also has a depth sensor which shows how deep below the surface you are, accurate to 0.1m so this can be used even when snorkelling or just swimming in general and it also has a water temperature sensor which is awesome if you want to know how hot/cold the water is at the beach, pool, spa etc.
I have both the Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic. The two most atrocious and frustrating things with the Galaxy is the BATTERY LIFE and processing power! I wore my Watch Ultra 2 95% more because it's all around better. Allegedly, the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra resolved those issues but I'm hesitant. Gotta see what we working with first.

I haven't figured out if I'm digging the Ultra or not. Feel like there is a lot to be desired including a physical rotating bezel. I've collected Samsung watches since the first Gear watch, missing out a few after the Gear 2 and starting again with the S3's though haven't collected all of them since, I still have a collection... What can I say other then I love watches? Now if I get the Ultra or not is still up in the air but one thing I feel is for sure, I see no reason at all to get the Galaxy Watch 7 over the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.
Does the Ultra have a built in 110" projector?
Plus the new Ultra has Cell-Phone connectivity on it (whether that feature is used or not). You can get older watches which do not have it, so that adds a bit to the cost.
what do you mean by cell phone connectivity? because my watch 6 classic, watch 5 pro and watch 4 sport all made calls and texts, with or without my cell phone being with me. so im just curious what you mean by the new ultra having cell phone connectivity on it and thats whats adding to the cost.

I'm in a weird place where i have the 4 Classic and the upgrades in the 6 really arent that big, so I'm not missing out on much, but then at the same time, I'm not comfortable spending 700 dollars on a smartwatch either so I'm probably not gonna get the Ultra anytime soon either.

Love my GW 5 Pro Ultra, but I will upgrade to the GW 7 Ultra. Please no more rotating bezels. We have the GW 6 classic and previous models. I'm glad to see the GW 7 Ultra has a better chipset, storage, and the same great battery life as the GW 5 Pro Ultra.

I am so excited for the Ultra, man. Running the beta on my 5 Pro and it's working pretty decent. I like that they're going for more in-depth health tracking. This AGES stuff seems cool, if it's real.
Every galaxy watch I have had since they switched to wear os lags and are slow. Tizen was smooth without any issues.
The bigger battery is what has me interested in the ultra... and the case size. I like big watches.
I love my Watch 6 Classic. As much as I'd love to get the newest tech with the upgrades, I really can't get behind this design. I like the completely round design and honestly think the new Ultra is kind of ugly. They took away the rotating bezel too. I think I'm going to pass on this year's model. Let's hope next year's Ultra goes back to the OG round design.

I have the LTE 6 classic, and I always leave my phone at home. The watch continually disconnects from my phone. So when I get back home, I see all the missed calls and messages. Verizon and Samsung claimed the antennas in the watches aren't as powerful as the phones, so they will forever disconnect. Hopefully the 7 won't have that same issue.
@Mac_DNH I have absolutely no problem when I leave my phone home. I get my calls and messages. I too am on Verizon. I had a problem when I first set it up, factory reset solved everything!
I have the same issue with lte on the 47 6 classic. It could be my location because my phone has issues with T-Mobile in my location. If I trade it for the ultra ($249) that will be the reason.
I currently own a Watch 6 Classic, and I do love the classy look and rotating bezel. What I like less is the laggy performance and terrible battery life, especially when using it standalone on LTE. I have upgraded to the Watch Ultra in the hope that I can benefit from it better when I need to use it standalone - 🤞

The classic is really classic and suits formal occasions, unlike the ultra, which is more casual, unfortunately 😕
We have to see it on real life to decide as Apple's one tends to look like a health or accessory device rather than a true smart watch.

After careful consideration and several reviews of the Galaxy Watch Ultra, I decided to take the plunge and preorder it with a trade-in of my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. Yes, I'm well aware I'm giving up the rotating bezel. However, I once owned the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and over time, the rotating bezel on that one began to get sticky and harder to use. I'm intending to keep my iPhone 13 Pro on the Apple side and my Samsung Galaxy S24+ on the Android side, both for the long term. The same will apply to their respective watches: The Apple Watch 9 and my preordered Galaxy Watch Ultra. The latter being without the rotating bezel is hopefully for the best for me long term, since it's a moving component that would potentially start sticking later on.
I have a 6 classic I got in September 2023. now see I can trade and upgrade to the Ultra for $225 after pre-order discounts and $350 trade-in. It's gorgeous but I am not sure.

I kept my galaxy 4 classic, when I bought the galaxy 6 classic, no knowing about the ultra, no I pre order the ultra and I trading the galaxy 4 instead of the galaxy 6 that I jus bought a few months ago.
Ultra on preorder! Time to retire the Classic 6, but i'll NEVER get rid of my Samsung Gear S3 Frontier.

Here I am with my Garmin Enduro 2 getting a smooth 7wks on a charge using ¾th of my features. If I go full send, I get a taste over 5wks per charge and that's using it with the heart rate monitor 2-3x a week.
However..... I have to keep a Samsung watch around so since I don't really like my Watch 6 classic that much, I'm trading it in for the Ultra

I have 2 Huawei watches in US. I wear one when I go away for a week or 2 so I don't have to bring a charger. But there are only a dozen or so faces available in the US. I wear my galaxy 6 to the office or occasions since it looks nicer.
Titanium feels nicer on skin too!
Titanium is denser than aluminum and can be anodized like aluminum but it's lighter if you build it to have the same strength with thinner pieces of metal. If you had two pieces of metal say 1^3 cm just for example, the titanium would be significantly heavier, closer to stainless steel.
If that's the watch ultra, I'm sorry, I'm not a fan of that design.
Let me be 💯. Ultra or high end sport watches are rated on their HR sensors accuracy. Apple has one of the better HR sensors along with that other Chinese brand. Ultra needs to ditch the crown bezel look, it looks kinda corny. Comes down to 🔋🔋🔋= days without 🔌 in. The GW7Ultra will be compared with Garmins best watches. Thanks again

The Watch Ultra circle dial in-square frame design resembles (copies?) the art deco Panerai watch ($9000). Extra battery and memory always a bonus. Still, I love my watch 5 Pro for now.
I got me a massive deal in Denmark and paid 200 dollars for the watch ultra, including a trail band... and all I had to do was bind myself to a subscription that I allrdy had for another 6 months.. which I had no intention of cancelling anyway...

Traded in my samsung watch 4 for watch 6 classic last Dec. Got it got for $130 out the door. Actually get compliments on it bcuz of the band i use people dont realize its a smart watch. I have never been a 2st yr adapter & i wish samsung would bring there blood pressure monitoring to the usa like they have on there watch in other countries.

Samsung really should understand that the rotating bezel is both a differentiator and a desired feature.
I really wish they would have done a classic. I'm still planning on upgrading my Classic 4 but to the normal Watch 7. The battery is starting to get a little weak on mine.
Plus I think the new sensors and chipset should be worth the upgrade, since the fitness tracking is what I kinda care about the most. But yes I like Classic versions which are the best versions...looks wise. I really think if Samsung looked at dive watches as inspiration instead of Apple, they could have made a great looking rugged looking watch with a rotating bezel. Versus this odd looking Ultra.

I held on to my Watch 5 Pro because of the battery life and I made it my work watch. I'll be upgrading my Watch 6 Classic to the Ultra mainly for the battery life.
I think the pro and ultra have a similar battery number. No need to rush to upgrade

As a tech junkie i don't need the GW7 Ultra but I'll be getting the first day it drops and the new Galaxy buds 3. I will say i never jumped from my S23 Ultra for the S24 Ultra because I'm waiting for the S25 Ultra

For what I use my smartwatch for, the 6 classic is perfect for me. I don't need a watch to do anything more especially at the price increase they are reportedly going to be going for.
I primarily use Galaxy watches as fashion accessories rather than for their health or sports-related features. Therefore, I do not intend to purchase the Ultra models.😊
They will not include a rotating bezel on a rugged watch. A mechanical part that will easily fail if the watch is used as intended. Obviously the Watch 5 Pro won’t have it as well.

I love my 6 Classic, but realized that I really need a smartwatch more for health tracking features. The 6 Classic is just too pretty for the gym, so I usually wear a Watch 4 there. This Ultra will become my gym watch, and I have a 5 Pro to still give me that svelte/dressy look.
