I am at a really f'ed up period in my life and decided to turn things around. I am tired, lost and frustrated but also pissed at a degree not even i could imagine but the good thing is that when i am pissed my motivation also goes on hulk mode. I just downloaded the template as a first step and it looks like i don't have many worthy stuff to put in it especially considering how late i am to be starting this. Looks like i have to sit down and work on different ideas, designs etc. not because it is needed for education or business but just so i can have something to show. Maybe work on a few softwares which i haven't used before and add them in there. I will need a lot of guidence and support for sure but i know it is silly to expect too much from someone who is busy and just trying to help out. I will follow your videos and am sure the information you are sharing will help to a degree. Thanks for the tips and sharing the template 👍

I'm not an architect, but a mechanical engineer. It's interesting to see how other disciplines in the design field go about doing the same thing in a different way. Like you said, LEED is so important, and not just for architects, but for civil engineers as well: air ducting, water usage/insulation, pump/chiller efficiencies, etc.

I'm finishing my Interior and Spatial Design degree and I was losing motivation to keep up the hard work for a number of reasons... You're a huge help and motivator to keep going, thank you for your work and your dedication.
I like how you just take a few concepts, broadly explaining the way to go about them and then provide visual references to understand what you mean by that. I'm baffled by the amount of people (of professionals!) that will talk about something (e.g. my Portfolio class professor) and then provide you either a flimsy .ppt - or just nothing - to help you visualise it and learn how to do it yourself. But then they expect a beautiful InDesign layout as a result because, like you said, it has become an industry standard!
I wish traditional educating institutions would hire competent teachers with the skills they require their graduates to have at the end of their studies. I understood more about portfolios from your 20min video on YT than in 4 months of Portfolio class ❤

Hi Dami!! I'm so happy to discover your RUclips channel! I'm currently a student in interior design in France, and I totally agree with your way of explaining the difference between architecture and interior design. By the way, I'm still struggling with my studies, especially the "concept" step and when I have to create the floorplan after completing my "esquisse" step. It's so hard to transition from drawing to a scaled plan and to implement your concept onto it. But I love learning step by step how to develop a concept from something intangible, just in your head, to something tangible that you can touch, smell, see with your eyes, and most importantly, live in. Thanks for sharing your experiences :)

Thank you so much. This has been extremely helpful. I have just graduated in Architectural Design and the institution has been very unhelpful. I emailed our course facilitator about this very topic and she referred to the careers department. I have been very upset, couldn't sleep as this my future. Then this morning, your amazing vlog showed up in my feed. Thank you again ❤

Thank you for this, I am creating my portfolio for applying to a big architectural firm outside my country and this was really helpfull. I am a mexican architect and here the architectural world moves quite different, knowing how to build and site specific knowladge is what is more important, I know just a few architects with portfolios and thus I was quite lost.
