Make sure you use an alignment bar to check the rear housing for straightness. Welding on the rear can easily warp the housing tubes and can cause premature axle bearing failure. I keep the alignment bar and pucks in the rear when welding to prevent this from happening. Nice work.
That’s a great idea. Obviously this is not your first rodeo. Thank you for the great advice. Hopefully my axle housing isn’t warped because I didn’t do that. Hahahahs. Thanks for watching.
Thank you very much. Pretty much everything you see in the background is future content for the Channel. Thank you for watching. Lots of content to come.
I’m happy with it. I would mention that with 15x10 inch wheels on it that the pan hard bar bracket needed to be cut and clearanced and a new gusset made so that it doesn’t hit the inside bead of the tire. Other than that I’m happy. I didn’t have much of a choice once I had the bigger tires picked out, I wouldn’t have been able to fit them without the 4 link in addition to the mini tub.
@@americannostalgiagarage thanks for the quick reply. I forgot to ask if the kit came with any instructions…or something with rudimentary measurements for the insulation?
@@Rudderify zero instructions. This one is going to be completely on you. But if you take your time and measure everything several times to be sure, it will come out just fine. Stick with it. Good luck and have fun.

Awesome work man. Those box novas look mean with a big tire under them. Lots of work to get that to happen, but it’ll be worth it.
I’m going to put bicycle tires on it after all. I pulled my old huffy out of the shed for a donor.
Enjoyed the video I enjoy any fabrication videos I will be mini tubbing my 88 monte carlo SS and beefing up the torque boxes thanks for the video.
Thanks Richard, I appreciate it. I love monte’s, I don’t have one but that can always change. Thanks for watching.

What’s you’re impression of the kit now that you’ve had it on the car for a bit? Would you still have done the mod? Thanks!
