Literally laughed so hard when I read the disclaimer on the actual political compress test:
" Please note that this isn’t a survey, and these aren’t questions. They’re propositions. To question the logic of individual ones that irritate you is to miss the point. Some propositions are extreme, and some are moderate. That’s how we can show you whether you lean towards extremism or moderation on the Compass. Your responses should not be overthought. Some of them are intentionally vague. Their purpose is to trigger reactions in the mind, measuring feelings and prejudices rather than detailed opinions on policy."
If the purpose is to measure your knee jerk reactions instead of thought out policy opinions, that makes it a terrible political compass because it's not an accurate reflection of your actual political standings at all. You could end up giving answers entirely different from the policies you actually want in place due to vague phrasing or loaded propositions. I think they should rename the quiz to something that describes what it actually is.
"These aren't questions"
@@poolnoodle5494 What would you say it actually is, then?
@@user-en7dx1qp3k Technically, they aren't. The grammar and punctuality of the propositions are designed to be statements.
Right but than he explained why he thought that way and revealed his prejudice...
No what really gets me about the “just drink tap water” argument is that YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR TAP WATER. TAP WATER IS NOT A FREE RESOURCE.
also some places have rough or undrinkable tap water without expensive filters. Flint is the most often used example but there are tons of places around the world with terrible tap water.
Where do you want to get your water from then? If you dont pay for it it won’t be cleaned
It depends, if you live outside of an area with a public water supply it's basically free.
Very occasionally you might have to get your well fixed which can be pricey, but my parents had to do that maybe once in the 24 years I've been alive.
As long as the well was installed right and you don't live somewhere with a shortage, water is as expensive as the electricity needed to run the pump, which is miniscule.
That's not to say I disagree with you, and bottled water is absolute bullshit, but water is a free resource in pretty much a quarter of the country once you're outside of a city.
Go purify and get your own water. until then, stop complaining.
It's not a free resource, because it takes energy and equipment (= resources) to make tap water.
Ben Shapiro literally "forgetting" that some people live in areas where tap water is undrinkable 😭
"If you don't like it, move. If we had private tap water, the free market would solve it." - Ben Shapiro
well, I see People often think giving things for free is helpping others. Giving things for free does nothing good in the long run. You will help people stay alive for a while but still not providing them with a stable life since they still have no means of making money on their own. If you control inflation, the price on the market will stay as stable as it should allowing people to have more control over their life since the price does not go too high. The best example is the mask during the pandemic. At first, nobody controlled the price of the mask which led to a serious problem since it's an important piece of equipment yet impossible to lay your fingers on. the same thing happened with toilet paper as well.
Helping means helping people to have a better grip on their life in order to get a better life not filling yourself with fake comfort while leaving others to suffer. Take Africa for example. The western give them free food, free drink, free healthcare, and free love but the people were still suffering. They were still poor, still hungry, still sick, still thirsty, and still lived in the age of middle ages when there is no services. Then Vietnam came and threw them a shovel, seeds, materials, and tools and basically said to their face that if they wanted to eat then work. They give them the knowledge and let them work for food and get what they need. If they want something then they will have to get it themself instead of begging others for it. And you know what happened? The people start working in the fields and they finally have a stable way to producing foods. They have services and internet installed and people's life got better.
A free market will allow people to make their own business and get themself a chance to have a better life and it's the best option you can have now. Look at Vietnam! In a study on international approval of free market, while in the USA has 70% approval against 25%, Vietnam has 95% against 3%. and if anything shows, Vietnam is now growing so fucking fast that you can't even believe in your eyes. According to The World Bank, Vietnam's GPD growth in 2020 is 2.9 while the United States is at -3.5%.
And if it's not enough, then see it like this. For a very long time, the people in Vietnam encourage people to use Vietnam's products in order to control inflation and now they are pushing a lot of products that beat many other countries. Thanks to that the unemployment percentage in Vietnam is way lower in the USA. While the number in Vietnam is 2,62%, the unemployment rate in the US is 5,20%. And you can imagine how significant controlling the inflation is since Vietnamese can open a shop in the front yard and do businesses as they see fit, unlike the US. The people can set the price as they see fit since technique the government can't force them to set a price. Yet since the inflation is so well-controlled in Vietnam, the unemployment rate is also lower than that in the US.

Just giving him the benefit of the doubt here. Traditionally throughout history same sex couples didn't raise children, and humans have been very used to being raised by a mother and a father since the beginning. @@fjfhcnfhrh427 idk, companies really like to develop a good product and then once they have a solid customer base and brand, they figure out how many corners they can cut without alienating too many people with their now mediocre product. As far as constant profit seeking goes, you can only optimize the business so much before you have to start cutting into the product/service itself and employees’ pay/benefits just so you can show the shareholders that you’re a little more profitable this quarter than last.
Of course they serve humanity let’s remove every single corporation and what would happen?
@@fjfhcnfhrh427 capitalism is good but only with heavy regulation. Otherwise you end up with monopolies, insider trading, environmental issues etc. And as time goes on more and more regulation is needed as companies grow in power, distancing themselves from needing to pander to their consumers.

Ben Shapiro: “I was poor I was only making 50 to 60k.”
Me: “I am poor i am making nothing.”
Get a fucking job, Odessa.

What a bunch of incels. Even Bernie gave up on you socialists because maybe he realized some people don't deserve shit if they don't put in effort for that shit.
It’s not that much honestly be real
Didn't Ben get famous from sweaty neckbeards making cringy edits of him "wrecking" some college kid who's like half his age?
Some of those cringe edits are on his own channels. Maybe he's made some edits himself lol.
I hate those titles. They are like "Ben Shapiro OWNS crying liberal snowflake and DESTROYS leftist argument" and the actual video is just Ben Shapiro sounding like a 12 year old and the college kid stays calm and composed the whole time.
@@aakashbaliga1881 lol
Pretty much. Notice how he can only debate college Tumblrinas and activists and not people with actual political and economical expertise.
@@aakashbaliga1881 So more like "Ben Shapiro FUCKING RAPES HIMSELF with FACTS and LOGIC".
Ben Shapiro: I'm of the opinion that corporations have always been for the good of everyone.
Also Ben Shapiro: The only responsibility corporations have is to the few individuals who hold shares in the company.
What is the problem? He said that corporations have the only responsibility to make themselves rich but in the same time they are improving living conditions of others despite not doing it with intention. Where is the contradiction?

Also when he was taking about Venezuela, their economy was actually doing extremely well when they put a socialist leader into office. The reason their economy fell was the same reason why Cuba’s fell: The US intervened in some way destroyed their economy
Of course. There can’t be working examples of socialism because US citizens might start wanting it and that’s not good for the govt to make money.
@@razrv3lc yes yes exactly. The US can’t have socialism work anywhere because they can’t show people that capitalism really is just killing us
@@brighamweight3116 You are basically saying one evil is better than another one
Venezuela fell because of corruption and bad governance by the maduro administration and the us had little involvement.
What you are saying right now is most likely influenced by pro socialist media.
@@anarchistmaverick9507 but it had involvement anyways, pressure from outside, still doing the same shit they did during the 20th century in latin america and the middle east
@@comandantethorn9929 This is the first time I've ever seen anyone so retarded they legit spoke about how Venezuela was doing well as a country because of socialism instead of, more accurately, Venezuela couldn't have been worse before it.

"just drink it from the tap", hope nobody from Flint or any of the other fracking municipalities are watching.
But Republicans tell us how great fracking is....
When the Suez canal gets blocked by the Evergiven and shipping stops instead of using a competing canal ... that's a natural monopoly.
“You can still get it from the tap” LMFAOO. People are stuck in a first world mindset
The question was specifically about bottled water
@@Knowledgeequalspower1 He's assuming that people only purchase bottled water out of choice, which isn't true. Some people don't have homes, or can't pay a water bill, or live in a place with contaminated tap water, so they're forced to. He's an idiot lmao
