    Canoe wild camping in Night Cat Lay-flat hammocks (bridge hammock) and cooking up Coq au Vin in a dutch oven on a rainy day in the Norfolk Broads.
    Heading out from Wroxham on the Bure, I'm out with a friend for a wild camp using our hammocks. Its the first time I've used a dutch oven....watch to see if we get get food poisoning?!
    As usual, my thanks to Laurie for his company and wine!

    An otter was seen, as were kingfishers, and my first cuckoo of the year........
    Those hammocks work well, especially for those new or nervous of trying hammocking.

    I agree with the extra tarp setup. I would be interested in trying the tarp the other way so the pointy end was above the door, with the guy line staked with a 4ft pole in front of the doorway.
    Thanks to both of you.

      Thanks. I find hanging the ridge line is easy using the same trees that support the hammock. The extra tarp is definitely my preference. Cheers

    Thanks for the upload & nice to see you back on YT again. Your vid you did at Baconsthorpe has inspired me & my girlfriend to head up there on the bikes at the tail end of summer this year. Cheers Andy

    your mate stopped using the kayak paddle?

    • @divum
      @divum  2 месяца назад +1

      He wanted to trial it. The verdict was good. I think he'll probably switch between the traditional and kayak paddles.

      @@divum as a kayaker i have been contemplating a journey in sweden , and obviously a canoo will offer some more comfort (especially since my wife doesnt enjoy paddling). so kayak paddle in the canoo it is

      @divum  2 месяца назад +1

      @Belisarius277 actually, I'm thinking of using my kayak paddles on my next long trip to balance out my shoulder pressure. Good luck in Sweden

      RE Belisarius277: Hi, they are more commonly used in the States. I think I will use it in open waters, where there is a long haul, or when there is an off centre head wind; where it might help keep a solo canoe to wind? You do get drips on your lap, and that day was very cold and wet in any case!! I think it will have it's uses, and I will hopefully be using it again with Andrew........
