You have mastered bush crafting to the point of it's absolute simplicity. There is genius in simplicity! As a Canadian resident of 61 yrs I have to say, this is the strangest winter I've ever lived through. Your skills might be essential earlier than we might all think. Great video, thank you!

You are one of the few campers that can cook eggs the way I like them, without all of the scorching that so many do because they are not patient so they cook with too much heat. Also, you cooked the bacon crisp. I want to go camping with you.

Much as I enjoyed your 'Life of Woodsman' video series with that great tent and woodstove. Your Bedroll limited gear camping trips are my favourite. Glad you are getting such mild weather for Alberta at this time of the year, but as you said. Spring is still a long way off, stay safe and warm and looking forward to your next adventure!

G’day, Osc4r15. I agree with you about tea. I always take 4-6 varieties camping. I lay the Ziplock baggie on a picnic table so the guys can have their choices. Tea somehow both relaxes me, and picks me up too. Much simpler than toggling around with gear to make coffee. I have peppermint in a flower garden, and clip it off every week or so, dry it, and make some of my tea from that. Nice.

Reminding us the more you know the less you need. Which allows a closer connection with the forest, and what you need doesn't have to cost a lot. You are a hardcore camper my friend, respect! I love camping in the woods too, but, I like having my dog and my tent for extra comfort. My dog act as my alarm and lets me know whenever any dangerous animal is near. My tent provides protection from the wind, rain and snow. The extra comfort makes camping a little bit more enjoyable for me. However, you are much braver than I and I respect that about you and your camping style! Keep on camping my friend….

Found one of nicest most handy food prep items to have is an large Cut n' funnel type plastic cutting surfaces. They can be had in large size and they weigh absolutely nothing and are excellent for food prep and keeping clean. They also fold and make it able to "funnel" food or liquid which comes in handy. They clean up easy and can roll up into a pack or bedroll taking up just a small thousandth of thickness. Its a multiuse piece of kit i wish i wouldve found 20 yrs ago.

Thanks for the video. I do miss the trapping video's, kind of understand though. Lots of viewers with skewed minds, not to mention this format we are watching on.

The trapping videos will resume next trapping season on my other channel. It certainly can be difficult dealing with censorship and the negativity associated with trapping/hunting... but I do enjoy sharing my outdoor experiences with other people so it's worth the hassle. Thanks for watching!

Really enjoyed your video, just the basic goods and great food. I love how you kept everything simple, sometimes it’s just better like that. Been enjoying your channel for a long time. Keep up the great videos and looking forward to the next one. Shaun Kroschel
