First review i have seen where it gets wet at all, would love ta know how it really handles some downpour.... Great review.and Night Cat really does need ta give u a code.If i do pull the trigger it will be because of thos campout....my wife is a hoop hammock lover...
I've just put up a video where I use Night Cats Lutralight tent, that was caught if an absolute downpour!... only problem with that is drying your gear out - but no doubts I will do that video as this hammock is now my main sleep system when wild camping
Great review. You sold me on the Night Cat hammock/tent. I have several hammocks, but I’m always looking for something better. I believe this hammock is going to be the one. Thanks for doing the research and review. I truly appreciate it. You both ate a really good dinner. Thanks again. See you on your next adventure.
It is a great system, it does take a little practice - the key thing is to set it up and test it before you bed down.. having it level at head and foot end is key
I’ve been hammock camping for close to Twenty years. They keep coming up with better hammocks. I own over twenty now. I guess that works out to one a year…lol I’m looking forward to the Night Cat. It’s a nice complete package. I already have over and under quilts so I’m all set. Thanks again for such a great review. Have a great weekend!
Are you setting up the bottom straps properly? I find that you need to go around the tree at least one full turn crossing over itself for max stability
Hammocks are spot on, a few teething problems but I reckon they're are user error, back out in it this coming weekend... I went on the carnavour diet for 4 months (nov to feb), dropped 4kg, but put 2 back on now... sitting on around 68kgs (I'm still on minimal carbs tho)
@Dee Nunya cheese, lots of eggs - I did do veg as well, but no potato's (so it wasn't full carnavour).... mainly cut out bread, rice, pasta potato's and anything sweet.... Was bloody difficult cos I love fruit! Still, very low sugar, maybe once a week and I only do carbs at work...
It looks like it's nice and compact for hiking. I just bought a Haven Safari, but I'm on a motorcycle and can carry the extra weight.
Oh it would be ideal, the fact that it doubles up as a tent also I think would be an added bonus!
@WildernessAdventuresUK yeah, the haven does the tent feature as well. Different solutions, but the same idea.
Is a Pro new model 2023? Because new model pro is just hammock is not possible tender ...confused

It'll be very tight, as I at 6'4" have found........
Feels a bit tippy to me
