Looks great Ron. I bought a nice van with all the extras/mod cons and gave my brother my swag trailer. The irony is that I found the van wasn’t too practical because it was heavy and required a lot of clearance (for height) which wasn’t available in so many places I wanted to get to. I ended up selling the van to the brother and going back to my original rig.
I would love my brother to buy my camper, he would really love it. The very first impression I had when I drove off from the yard was how light it was. It felt as light as the camper. I was really surprised. Thats with both tanks half full of water too. Most my work is on showgrounds so the height is no problem for me. I wont be able to swing through the macca's drive thru for a coffee anymore but lol.
Mate looks the mint u will be like a king in ur castle god knows u deserve more for what u do and the education work u have brought from bush to city I know u inspired me to start cooking in a camp oven so thanks Ron see u at one of ur shows Thanks kris
Hi King, just caught up with this clip. Im very pleased for you getting a new toy. Like you im tending towards cast aluminium oven's. Weight is a major consideration for me. I have several cast ironl ovens, most are cheap BCF types. A couple of no name ovens, one has very poor casting, but cooks great. I guess it came from a very second class Chines foundry ?? One so called quality oven,a 15 inch 1991 Furphy. This oven was used for many primary school camps on the banks of the Billabong creek in the southern Riverina. From memory the big lamb roasts were cooked in this and the vegies separately. Wonderful times,With all our "political correct" bullshit this out door living would be not allowed these days. Can you please do some videos on your cooking while camping in your van. Best wishes Grant
Thanks for the follow mate. Yeah that 15 inch Furphy of yours is worth between 800 and 1200 bucks. So look after it 😀Hopefully do some cooking videos with my van soon. Im in it right now actually, heading to Tamworth for some cooking demos.Cheers
