I like many players, but if I should pick only one favorite, it'd be Pollard. He's the perfect 10 without any glaring weakness. Great boot, long distance too, great distribution skills, great in the air, he's got a howitzer of a spin pass, he's able to take the ball to the line and run through gaps himself, which makes him less predictable, and he's got great size to him. I became an instant fan during the 2015 RWC, where he shone at the age of 21, outplaying many senior flyhalves. That tournament showed us, that his amazing TRC performance against the All Blacks in 2014 (the best game of rugby I have ever seen) was no fluke. Rugby is a sport, where the team with more points wins. In 2019, Pollard topped the scoring of EVERY competition he took part in (Super Rugby, The Rugby Championship, Rugby World Cup), while winning both TRC and RWC, thus writing history. How was he not nominated for the Player of the Year is beyond my comprehension. At 25 years of age, Pollard has already unlocked legendary status, having won both junior and senior RWC.
He's the closest we have to Carter in SA. I liked this guy when he was under age playing with the U20's as a 17yearold. Great temperement. Composed. A man beyond his years. Only 25 aswell. He will be at the next RWC.
He was one of the most consistent players in the world cup, he turned up in every game he played in and played so hard not only he's kicking, he ran so hard at the defence bracking the lines and creating tries💪🇿🇦
I told guys in 2015 that this man is the closest we have to Dan Carter in SA. I was ridiculed and they attacked his consistency disregarding the fact he has been playing above his age group since he was 16.

I learnt a lot here - thanks for the great post! (always been a fan of his, but I didn't know he topped so many tables last year)
Handre “I love crashball Pollard”...no flyhalf takes tries to break the lines and runs at defences like this man! He loves it!
???
@@Lion-fw7bt Maybe try to formulate your question.
Springbok gold! Priceless accuracy!
After he won us world cup with his kicks 2023🎉
He has fulfilled the potential !
Still young. Stint overseas and next WC...... watch out💪
he is the best place kicker of all time

I know this weekend has brought us all joy tho
Here after we won the World Cup again 🤣😂
Best fly half in the world
Tell me is Farrell a flyhalf or a inside centre I know he can play both but what is his actual position
super man fly half it’s only really who play him at centre occasionally
@@pondbus1ness I think it`s between Farrell and Pollard for the best flyhalf in the world
super man yea I think your probably right to be honest
@@pondbus1ness If I must choose one to be the best I would say Farrell
Last year I have actually hoped to see Farrell in the 10 jersey for the final

I am sure even Dan Carter is admiring these kicks all goosebumps and all👍🏽👌🏾

Salute!!
Pollard takes alot of stick. South African sports fans are fickle. When he was injured he was forgotten.
Couldn't have said it better myself. We sure are a tough crowd.
I have always been aware of his value as a player. I knew that if he didn't play a part in the playoffs, we wouldn't win the world cup.

Goat
Ad manie gespeel het dan het hulle verloor!!!!
WTF with the music.
If he continues well in his thirties he can over take Dan Carter
