@@alondwemlo4781 Believe me, mate, the whole World was supporting the Boks in the finals. What they’ve achieved there was something magic. I know that the country has her fair share of problems, and that things are far from ideal, but the Boks have accomplished something societies don’t. No quotas needed anymore, everyone was in the team on merit, fighting like one man, standing shoulder to shoulder like brothers, sticking up for one another. It was truly inspirational. It was meant to be. On top of that come the self-made-man stories of Kolisi, Mapimpi. And the boss mode Beast, winning the Cup and riding off in the sunset. It was a fairy tale come true. The kind of thing, that gives you hope, that the world isn’t completely rotten. I consider myself blessed to have witnessed it.
It was pure magic, and all sorts of skills on display during that try: support line, handling, passing, kicking, you name it. Status legendary unlocked.
Legend has it that Mapimpi still has not thanked Lukhanyo for "that" pass XD I agree with Squidge rugby's assessment that the pass was probably the least selfish thing he has ever witnessed on a rugby field.
Alex Le Meme 100% right. Dude is already immortal. He’s so underrated. If he was English or French, he’d be nominated for the PotY. Such a stable, elite performer. And a world champion.
LOL I thought I was the only goon who payed attention to that 🤣. But so many of this Legend's tried are highlights - including this one, and the one just before. In both he beats more than three defenders, minimum. His highlights extend to super rugby, curry cup and other internationals. And to think he has to fight for a position in the starting 15.
You can see the funny side of it, but it actually demonstrates his dedication to the cause and his willingness to self sacrifice. I respect him that much more for that.
I'm not a South African but I will always support them...best rugby team...I always want to be. A player like Siya Kolisi...and shosholoza song always gives me goosebumps...I don't know why....I love it!!🌴❤️💯🏉
72 days into lockdown, Sunday, lying on the couch in Hout bay watching this, tears welling up, my wife, watching a movie on her tablet looks at me in consternation and asks if I am ok. I am so bloody proud of South Africa, wish our Gov could just let us be, there is not a shred of any racism on the field, in fact, the very opposite. The South Africa we all love is right in front of us, just a couple of weak clowns wrecking it for all the rest of us. What a great Nation!
Truth man. It's the same in our schools and universities. Our kids and young people are colour-blind without interference from those stupid clowns you mentioned. I'm most proud to be a South African when I see the sincere unity of our Springbok team. They are our beacon of hope for our future generations to come. Go bokke! Go South Africa!
I often feel bad for centres, they don’t get enough appreciation. Am is one of the best we’ve ever had. His ability to read the game and prevent threats is 2nd to none.
For me DDA was the man of the tournament. Most of the team has been given high praise but for me he changed the game a number of times when we were in trouble or needed a boost. Like in 2007 Danie Rossouw was my man of the tournament, he also was not in the limelight but did some incredible things in that tournament.
@@Martin-pb7ts I agree. And coming from someone who was not happy he was in the team again after so many years of lacklustre performances. Goes to show what a decent coach can do for talented players..DDA was brutal on attack and defense....by halfway through the tournament I was scared he'd be injured.
The disrespect to Manie saying we dont have a 10. Pollard has cost us multiple games because of missed tackles and missed kicks, but whenever his injured we all seem to have amnesia and go on about how the springboks are Nothing without him. Sheesh.
As a die-hard fan of the Bokke I can't stop the tears in my eyes whenever I see the tries from the RWC-final. What did Rassie make of these guys...no colors, just a big, big rainbow...And while writing this tears are back one more time.
Wow! The Boks were amazing in 2019! I so hope they can keep staying the best for the next 4 years and win the next one as well! I can't wait for the June internationals!!
Wow the turn around from this team was amazing. I'm a die hard Bok fan and was one to heavily criticize the team due to the bad slump of previous years, it was really a hard time for us Bok fans and caused so much tension that we began to loose faith in the players, many people questioned why Bongi, why Am, why Alende, why the style of rugby and many other decisions made by the coach but in the end they proved all the hard critics wrong.
OMG the editing was so so good. It was an amazing buildup to our countries true spirit. Kolisi for president. Of course Rassie will inspire from the sidelines.
Nkosi faceplant at 3:32 must never be forgotten. Even when he stands up afterwards he is trying to play it cool despite having eaten the pitch. Edit: It looks like he has some in his mouth lol

Most memorable try: Am to Mapimpi in the final (tough to look past Kolbe making Farrel look like an ouph but still). Most important try: DDA vs Wales in the semi- that was truly our test. But man oh man, what a year for SA rugby. Quality all over the park. Who is the better lock between all of Etzebeth, De Jager, Mosterd and Snyman? I can't split them. Mbonambi, Marx and Brits? Beast vs Kitshoff, Nyakane vs Malherbe, Louw and Koch? The depth in the tight 5 is nothing short of astounding. We didn't even miss Nyakane or in the final Mbonambi. Gotta feel for Nyakane though, form tighthead not playing a game in the RWC. A definate starter. Other injured starters were probably Serfontein, Marcel Coetzee and Dyantyi but between DDA, Am, Steyn and Kriel the centres were solid and Mapimpi stole the show in the absence of Dyantyi. Can one split Kolbe and Nkosi? And then there are our three scrummies in De Klerk, Jantjies and Reinach. Honestly, I think our 3rd choice scrummie would've walked into most other teams' run on side. The bonus is this is still a young side.
He is such a world class player, especially his finishing skill. The guy is just so unlucky Kolbe is also playing 14, otherwise he would have been our starting wing
Commentator:Frans Styn did he get it over. Frans Styn:Yes I did.. The Ref:Thank you!!! This made me laugh very loud love the Commentator....makes the game more exciting
Since South Africa was allowed back into international rugby in 1992, SA and Australia have played 62 times . Australia have won 32 with South Africa winning 27 tests with 3 draws. The big difference is that SA has won 3 RWC in that time and australia only the one. It shows the aura of the RWC as most people if asked who has won the most test matches between the two nations would probably say South Africa.

He scored 10 tries that year, when was the last time someone has scored 10 tries in 1 season
William Stacey josh Adams scored 12 last year
@@sm0636 let me rephrase, when was the last time a good rugby player scored 10 tries in 1 season.
William Stacey clearly Adams is a better player since he scored more in a less successful team

Its funny how people say we play boring Rugby, there is nothing boring about these awesome tries.
Some of these tries were amazing! I personally think none were more important than DDA's try against Wales. What an effort!
True, that was the World Cup Winning Try. That match was intense, my goodness. 😎
