When I think "anger personified", Sam Kinison is always the first person I think of. Lewis has a pretty good rage going though.

Anger can be kept under control, rage is the triumph of anger over control. Lewis Black is always angry, but that anger is, by definition, always under control; although, at times, it's the barest minimum of control, strained to just this side of the breaking point.
I like to think that we are all channeling our rage through Lewis Black.

The government in whole once acted somewhat liberal where we were able to create bi-partisan legislation with people working across the isle before the Tea Party wormed it's way in and turned the Republican party into obstructionists who aren't happy with their side winning anymore, but they have to have their opposition lose as well.

Between Lewis Black and George Carlin these 2 comedians will always be in life and death true legends of the comedy world. My hat goes off for you Carlin your death is an American tragedy and Lewis stay alive for as long as you can because we need at least one you alive to survive these next couple years
It would have been great to see Carlin and Black play off each other's observation and anger. Or that might be how the world ends, in a spiraling comedy of anger. :-)

To be honest I think the show would have been amazing his anger to Carlins thoughts would be the same as when they discovered peanut butter and jelly go together perfectly in a sandwhich ....but I also dont think we as a society would ever be worthy enough for a show at that magnitude

If a genie offered me three wishes, one would be that all the top authorities (politicians, police, clergy, news anchors, pundits, CEOs, etc.) would grow three inches of green hair and shrink three inches in height every time they told a deliberate lie and twice that if they told a deliberate lie they knew would cause harm to people.

I still like Cosby's work even if he, the person, is a huge sick disappointment. He was the guest speaker at my college graduation. The first commencement address he ever did. He was great and made thousands graduating bearable.... but now it's tarnished which makes me sad. The next year's speaker was Mr. Roger's... I may just have to lie about the year I graduated and claim him! 😂

If one believes in goodness -- kindness, honesty, compassion -- then any good person can be their hero.
That's why I raised my kids on good SF and fantasy fiction by authors like Terry Pratchett, JK Rowling, Charles de Lint (yes, he has a few stories suitable for kids), Lois McMaster Bujold and Tanya Huff. Lots of good role models. Not perfect, but good.

I've always enjoyed Lewis Black. I'm younger than a lot of his fans but I've always enjoyed that rage type comedy, it's complimentary to my own twisted thoughts on things in life! The National Comedy Center seems like a place my family and I would love to go. Jamestown isn't to far away from Buffalo and from there Niagra Falls "NY side". Might be a stop on a future family vacation if the world every gets back to normal. Watching this in 2020. I'm a Union Bricklayer and I spent 2 weeks in Jamestown, NY (I live in New Castle, Pa "just north of Pittsburgh") about 10 years ago working on the Welch Grape Juice factory, building a new guard station and a few structural repairs around the facility. The whole area smells like grape juice/red wine! Worked in the dead of winter but all and all a good experience!
I’ve been born and raised in Jamestown, and when he asked what we’re known for I got so nervous 😂 Generally we’re not known for many good things, our town is struggling with the opioid epidemic and crime rates rising. They built the comedy center to hopefully help. Lucyfest is one of our biggest times if the year, although she was technically born in Celeron, NY and moved to Jamestown within the first few years of her life. Ever heard of that ugly Lucy statue? It’s in Celeron in Lucille Ball Memorial Park, along with the updated version that is absolutely beautiful. Hopefully the comedy center will bring great things to this town, god knows we need the help ❤️
