Dear all,
I have noticed that there is a misconception about obtaining Beer shoppee license in Maharashtra and there is no proper data available for the common public .
Being one of the top most selling product over the globe I have uploaded a very crisp video on how to go about it.
Applying for a beer shop license is much easier as expected. You have to visit Maharashtra Excise Departments's website and apply with the list of requirements mentioned. We have discussed about the detailed list of requirements in this video.

@@bhaveshsaner4214 Hi bhavesh. Any person can apply for beer shop license whether handicapped or no. However the person should be of sound mind. Kindly note you can apply for "BEER SHOPPEE LICENSE".It has bee many years that maharashtra government has issued "Wine shop License".

I'm also planning to apply for this licence and for that I'm leasing a shop. My concern is regarding the the document you mentioned in last section i.e. completion certificate, Location/site plan, boundaries and schedule of area. Do you think the owner will provide theses docs to me? Or these are required only if the shop is owned by the applicant?
And secondly what will be the Vendor fee (licences fees)
Pls guide us on this points which would be helpful for lay man like us 🙏🙏

Yes the owner is obliged to give you the documents such as completion certificate, location/site plan etc. Incase he does not have he may request the co-operative society of the building and they would provide.
Please understand these documents are a common requirement, for example if you are taking a loan to purchase a house then to you would need these documents and it is a common practise.
For the vendor license fees- It depends upon the population. Please refer the video for details

Hi Aalok. Apologies for delayed response. Incase of delayed license fees there would be a penal interest payable at the rate of 2 % p.m. that is 24% p.a. (Section 114 of the Maharashtra Prohibition act). Hope this clarifies.

Technically it is not renewal fees. It is yearly annual fees

Hi Amit. Yes Beer shoppee license holder can sell wine. But you cannot sell foreign liquor or indian made foreign liquor.

Yes that person can give the license on lease and he has to also complete the formalities of lease with the excise department.
No leasee won't take over the be shop

Hi Ankit. If the area is less than 180 sq ft there is a high chance that the application may be rejected.

Hi. I am really sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he recovers asap.
Income certificate is not required but a Bank guarantee or a certificate from Tahsildar is required for the amount exceeding the License fee.
There would be no issues in obtaining the license in your mom's name.

Hi Vinay. Maharashtra government ne naya wine license bahut years se issue nahi kiya hai. Wine license existing license holders se transfer kar sakte hai lekin voh bahut expensive hoga . Doosra option ye hai ki aap permit room (FL 3 license) ke liye apply kar sakte hai and vahaan se bhi liquor sale kar sakte hai.

Hiii suraj. Yes beer shop license and wine shop license are different. In beer shop license you can only sale beer and wine whereas in wine shop you can sale beer, wine , foreign liquor, brandy, rum e.t.c but not country liquor.

Hii deepty. If the requirements mentioned are not satisfied then it would get rejected. Incase it gets rejected we have option to go for an appeal
