You're a quality human being Dan, wish there were more folks like you in this world.
Congratulations on Reaching One Million Miles. Great Accomplishment, Dan. 👍🙏
conrats on the hitting the 1M mark... I hope you enjoy many, many more safe miles!
That "Tar" was probably Magnesium Chloride. They put that on the dirt roads around where I live in South Dakota. Usually do it a couple times a year in the warmer months.
They spray oil on the road to keep the dust down during summer. It's common on gravel roads in the rural midwest, usually in front of houses on gravel roads.
Congrats on the million miles
Good luck on your trip.
I can understand the mess that the tar creates. It is annoying for sure. It was nice to help out the Mercer employee. Keep your truck between the ditches. Take care.
It’s Not Every Day that we Run into a Celebrity while out on the Road. 😬👍🙏
4:15 Congrats on the Million Miles with Mercer!
For all your trailer needs Dorsey Trailers
Your right, that tar is for dust control. I use to do that for places when I did road construction. People were usually really happy to see me... lol congratulations on the million miles also!!
Be safe out there, Dan. Big Orange looks good.
They should have put pea gravel over the tar!. Great show as always Dan!🇺🇸😏👍
Another good one Dan KEEP ON TRUCKIN 👍 🇺🇲 🚛 🐘 👌
In Vietnam they would put that stuff on the roads in basecamp and when you went anywhere on base it was very liquid like and you had to clean yourself up when you got back to your unit, not the smartest minds thought of that idea, and the smell was great.
Wish I was that fan meeting you live on that dog park.
Hey, Dan. I'll throw my two cents in with a couple others who have commented on the tar. It might have been some kind of peanut oil based sealant if it's the same stuff I'm familiar with. One of my company's customers has sealed their dirt lot with it the past two years. You're right, sure does get all over your boots, steps, tires, and fenders. Though it sure does keep the dust down and I'm sure it's cheaper than asphalt or concrete, so it's a give and take, I suppose.
Congratulations on a million miles! It's a big milestone! HI Bailey!
That company should use water instead of tar it would have been a lot better than tar tar, just getting all over the place, and WD40 does work on taking tar. You're right about that 👍👍👍
I will change many of those spring brushing you need a 1 inch impact and some tire lube to install them
Safe Travels. Love❤Miss Bailey. Give Miss Bailey a hug, smooches, & scratches behind both ears…..
most interesting as usual. Thanks Dan & Bailey.
As always I enjoy your videos Dan, You and Bailey stay safe and keep her between the ditches.
Thanks Dan.
Thanks for your time and the video always interesting and good to see what you put up with away from home for so long
Keep them coming and stay safe out there 🌵🇬🇧👍
Travel safe, Dan!!!
That tar is some nasty stuff I'm sure the material handlers don't like it either. Thank you for posting all the great videos on your RUclips channel.
Thanks Dan
THEY PUT THAT STUFF down to keep zeee flips flops guys away! 😂
We use Calcium Chloride for dust control,it sucks for first few days .
Dan, the other night for some strange reason I looked at some of your old videos. I went back to number 45 among others. Oddly enough you pointed out a stretch sleeper on another truck. Was that when the seed was planted to get yours? That was in 2017.
My other question is, do you still have Callie Dog. I hope so and hope she is well. Love your videos. Stay safe.
I’ve always wanted a big sleeper truck but time was never right. Kallie is still with us but she is getting old and doesn’t get around to good.
Thanks for watching
Nice of you to help that guy out. I hate when places spray oil products on a gravel road. In stead of being so cheap they should have it paved. The dust problem’s they probably have when there is not fresh tar on the gravel road. Your inside of the trucks looks great Dan. Very personalized. Home away from home. Your complete rig looks great. Always like your videos, very informative and always so laid back. Thanks for posting Dan. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails and happy motoring.
Welcome back my friend and be careful out there my and Bailey
Always enjoy your Facebook posts that gives us a heads up on what your upcoming videos will be.
Congratulations Super Dan &Bailey on "One million miles"..... Some were with Kellie too........
Safe Travels & SUPER SUCCESS 2 U & Ur Fam!!!!!!!!😎🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🇺🇸💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰
Welcome to Toledo the arm pit of Lake Erie.
When I was a boy we lived in Indianapolis. One day, the city resurfaced the streets in our neighborhood. Trucks would come along & spread pea gravel & he was followed by a rig that sprayed hot tar over it. It set up pretty quick & the traffic compacted the gravel. That looks like what your shipper did but he must have left out the gravel part.
!
Truck looks great
Dan saw you had to deal with a Oil debacle. I agree with you. That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. I mean what did they expect would happen? Safe travels.👍👍👍
I think the “tar” may be lignin, a byproduct of corn processing. Works great to keep the dust down on the dirt road in front of my house, lasts for about four months until the rain dissolves it. Used it for many years.
We used molasses on the mining roads in Tanzania to keep the dust down, worked well.
They use to use tree sap on the one mine I use to deliver to in WV and there were a couple hills you had to go up and if it was raining it was almost impossible to get up them and coming down was hairie and that crap was almost impossible to get of your truck
But congratulation Dan on the million miles with Mercer keep the wheels rolling and stay safe out on the roads
Great Work on your vids Dan. Where's the 🍺🍻?
note tar absorbs the heat. if you ever take a thermal picture of a flat roof building it will show up red as the roof is covered with tar and small stones thrown on top. those buildings probably have big a/c units to keep the interior cold
I used to haul lumber out of a sawmill in Kentucky, and during the summer the dust would get bad so they would mix up a dehydrated tree sap and water and spray the lots with it. It was nasty and stunk, but the EPA wouldn’t let them use oil. They said the sap was biodegradable.
LOOKING good LOOKING good DAN , Baileys a happy camper 😂 For sure tar was not a good idea putting on there , Oil would have work great
be safe take care yourselve DAN 🕶
I live in Toledo. Enjoy your video's also.
It's a Warrior,
That tar stuff was horrible all over the wheels stay safe buddy great video
It’s probably crap they call Lignant the sprayed on the dirt lot. It’s jet black shit water they use in crop fields for dust control. It’s a lot like tar all sticky and gross though but you can spray it out of a water truck. I used to haul it to road companies in 6,000 gallon smooth bore tankers
Looks like you got a great co-pilot next to ya… 🐕
It would be funny to watch the flip flop mafia negotiate the tar
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂Facts!
Hey Dan thanks again for the effort when making your content. You stated that freight is becoming difficult in past broadcasts, have you ever transported lumber products?
I guess take what you can get i haven't had anything steady for months
Super Trucker Celebrity lol. 👍👍
They sprayed stuff like that in Times Beach Mo. They had to destroy the whole town.
That tar they spray on that parking lot usually they put rock on it
Hi Dan [from a fellow Army vet], have been following you for a few years, good presentations. You mentioned that for years you drove moving vans, brings memories of our move from Ft Huachuca to Seattle in 1968. Would you tell us more about that time in your life. Did you do the loading and unloading with your own hands? Have a helper at the ends, have a ride along helper. Independent or company driver. Look forward to seeing you and Baily each week.
Good ole Ciralski’s/Center Steel. I can’t stand going in there after polishing 🤦🏽♀️ that stuff sticks to your rims! It used to be so bumpy tho it’d swallow your truck almost. Nice solution huh? LOL stay safe
They should have had Paul Newman and George Kennedy put the tar down. 😂
Yeah but...Newman will probably take off half way through...LOL
@@lenscap8925 correct. Lol. And get his mind right.
I'm shaking the bush boss
Jeep is an acronym. Just Empty Every Pocket. Lol
10-4 Spraying Tar to Keep the Dust down (??) Agreed Bad Idea, Lime would have been ideal.. Messy Messy to say the least , You'd be walking Soft Footed or Crawling in the Big Truck , don't want track marks on the inner fenders...
The company likes you. They want you to "stick" around. 😆
HA!!!
i seen you on i24 yesterday !
I’ve loaded there:)
Ever get to Certainteed in minnesota?
I would think that 5000 lb load would go to a hot shot. Someone didn't plan that right.
👍
Pretty strange , why all of those rolls off metal outside like been discarded.? Thanks
Good luck on your business.!
❤BAILEY is getting chunky! ❤
If you were to load some of those coils, which are stacked outside, would you be expected to tarp them?
Are the bushings thats bad causing the drives to wave ?
Well you picking steel the in Mississippi
Where are you picking up steel in Mississippi
What you recommend for polishing wheels?
Congrats on the million miles and you need steel toe at a steel mill flip floppers don't go there for those that don't know
Hey Dan what type of double coin steer tires did you buy? Size? Width? Thank you for any info , Darron
What are you doing with your old trucks?
If the Tar sticks to Everything, then you will take the Tar and the Dirt with you and slowly but surely it should Clean Off the Dirt from their Road and Parking Lot.😬👍
There is her problem it’s a jeep
As we all know Yellow freight shut down, has this effected business at Mercer?.....
That spray on tar is terrible too get writ off.
Are you guys saying busy ?
that tar is sob, its hard to get off at a truck wash. you cant hand scrap it off, the little stones you've also picked up scratches the paint work. just have to let it wear off, truck and trailer look like leopard spots.
Jeep Jan kerokee??? 😂
:)
Hi Bailey… how are you sweet girl.
how did you have to deal with your wifes car you weren't even there
Apparently you are not married.
Thanks for watching.
