I remember going on vacations And giving the truckers the horn signal and loving it when they pulled their horn strap. That was some 50 years ago…..nice memories. Thanks for the video.

Hi Dan, Bet that plastic case for your EZ Pass was shielded. Reason when they ship it to you every toll road the UPS/USPS/FedEx takes will add a toll before you get it. Had to send one back and they stated 'wrap it in foil' to avoid tolls being collected in transit. Keep up the good work and thanks for taking time out to make the videos, been riding with you since video # 1.
Whenever I have bought my E-ZPass, I always had to call and activate it. They have never arrived activated.

Dan I wired my train horn into the horn button in the steering wheel that way easy to blow it and hooked the city horn to a push button on the dash just something to think about but you stay safe and keep the videos coming

Love the new truck stops. I remember when the TA truck stops started coming on line. They were nice and new and everything was clean. Actually liked them 40 years ago 😢
if you want something to really stick and not come off use Gorilla Glue and just so you know the shit is permanent unless you use a very sharp blade ...just give it a couple days to seal and its great to see ya show fixing problems on the truck even tho im not a Trucker im sure there are many out on the road that your help comes in handy 👍
Gorilla tape is great as well, especially the clear.

Had to tell you about a battery operated strap winder I seen a few days ago. I believe it was a blue colored tool with a normal drill type battery. No information on who made it or anything else. But there is a battery operated one out there if you were interested.

Dan, I recommend you seriously consider asking dispatch for partial loads when you have deck space. With freight slow, and rates reduced, the dollars on partials go straight to the bottom line. Keeping you in your preferred operating zone with partials can be very profitable.

always liked parking at the Petro in Rochelle. would spend a weekend and if i had extra, would get truck and trailer washed and a trailer washout, if i was picking up frozen veggies. then clean up my truck. had a chammie to soak up the excess water so there wouldnt be water spots on wind windshield, mirrors and doors.

Don't use toll road often, so EZ Pass device was in enclosed car cubby hole. Had occasion to use toll rd, completely forgot the device was stored. PRNY readers are so intrusive, it still accessed EZ Pass. Some believe it just read license plate & cross referenced. Can't argue that is possible 🗽🇺🇸

Come to think of it you have not been home in awhile. I bet your really happy going on 2 years now that you do not have to take truck stop showers. Some of the facilities at some of the truck stops are not even fit for pigs. The Dorsey trailer is looking mighty fine. If the time ever feels right I would sure appreciate knowing/hearing about how having a large bunk has changed/effected the way you do your job now compared to when you ran without having the large bunk and all that comes with them. Hey have you looked at welding a old pawn shop socket to you strap wraper and use your cordless drill moter to roll up your straps .perhaps hook a few in line so can roll up multiple straps at once
You could use a creeper for getting under the tractor.

Dan, that air conditioner isn't little, it may look little by it's self sitting on your trailer but it's at least 8x or so the size of my air/heat pump for my house, mines is a 3 ton unit. Dan, what ton was the unit you was hauling?
Dan, I just had the same issue with my windshield and what I found that worked to remove the glue was WD-40

Hey, how can the easy pass recognize when you have the trailer axle up?
$3 US dollars for a dryer is cheap. Where i live it is $5 AUD a dryer.
If your axle is up, do you still get 20,000 pounds or does it go back to 17,000 pounds on the back axle?

When you lift your axel do you have to tell the tollbooth operators so you get charged less or do they notice on their own? Also does that mean you have to go through the booths when the axel is up rather than using your EZ-Pass? I know you probably get asked a lot but do you still have your 386 and the white 379?
