In a construction zone where lanes are ending you will always be following too close. If you follow at any distance at all a 4 wheeler will cut in front of you and hit their brakes and another 4 wheeler and another 4 wheeler until you are finally passed the merging zone. Construction zones are inherently dangerous because of this.

Hey Justin! Glad the driver is okay and i think you made a good choice keeping him. I know so many people that have let drivers go for making a mistake and regret it till this day. He will probably never have another accident like that again. Don't let someone else benefit from what he learned with your company. Good man Justin I know he didn't want to make that call to tell you this. That's the hardest part of the situation ( LOL)... Take care and of course PEACE OUT...

  • @brucedavies1235

The next 6 months that driver will be your safest driver

  • @TheFlyWahine

The important thing is that the peopel are ok, equipment can be repaired or replaced. But a lost life cant be replaced.

Any one you can walk away from....... hopefully No citations and always Carry a large caliber revolver for safety.

  • @I-am-not-D1-4U

Josh you’re a pretty cool 😎 guy. Most companies would fire the driver right off the spot but you’re a boss with a great heart may God always bless you.

I love the attitude you have about it. So many companies are so quick to fire a driver. If you guys decide it's not worth fixing, I could use the roof cap if it will fit an '06. Mine has a leaky sunroof. The sunroof in these was a dumb option.

“To error is Human,to forgive is Devine “, I have seen all your videos and have seen evidence that you use all facets of that quote in your life and running the business.

Everybody has their day(s) and bad experience(s). I tomahawked a gate back when I was a company driver leaving the gravel pit, reaching for the remote to close my tarp. Yup nauseating 389 pete, beautiful show truck the gate karate chopped the sleeper, the stack and the hood.

Glad nobody was hurt. Definitely a eye opener for the driver. Looks like a beautiful shop you have

  • @joecanning7710

I feel for you my man. As a small business owner, whenever the phone rings from an employee at an ODD time, I know the anxiety feeling is overwhelming. I will subscribe, like every video on your channel, share, and comment. I wish I could do more

  • @falconseyeaerialservicesll8176

I’m so happy that no one is hurt, and loved ur attitude on life. On another perspective, a three seconds rule applies to larger vehicles. Yes, there will always someone pulling into your lane, will so it be. Also, try to see ahead of the vehicle in front of you if you can. It is you driving that large vehicles and take into consideration of unexpected, be prepared. It is your safety and your life depends on it. It could have been worse for your diver and I am so happy that he is okay.

  • @StephenViola-ib8dq

Back in 1986 my family was in the trucking business and my truck was a beautiful 1983 K100 that I ordered for myself. One of our drivers had mechanical problems that I had to take care of so my dad gave him my truck to go up to Canada. This was in February 1986, He ran into a snow storm on the Northway and instead of stopping and waiting it out, he jack knifed and put my truck in the ditch. My dad did not fire him, I wanted him dead but I did not kill him! 3 months later, he did the same thing again on a beautiful sunny day in April on rt. 17 in New Jersey! Same damage as he did to mine. I never saw him again. Some times being a nice guy bites you right in the ass! Both trucks were in the shop at the same time, we had to buy another truck.

It's really nice that I can somewhat stay in tune with the truckin industry through some channels that I see on RUclips. I've been off the road and out of a big truck for a while now and there's times when I miss it. Thanks for the content. Stay safe and keep the shiney side up
