I wish they made a lost mod for far cry 3. Or a Flora overhaul. So the forest would be alot more dense.

that's what made far cry 2 so good. You couldn't just tag and wall hack. You had to look at a physical map. Head shots counted. man....i should just reinstall far cry 2 instead.

@@harrylawson6293 look im not saying its perfect. You gotta be in the mood: driving in the forrests and desserts taking your time, deciding to choose alternate routes to avoid camps or going in head on. I have to mod/reconfigure the shit out of 3-5 to make them any type of engaging.
@hairy otter yeah it was a clunky game, and obviously feels dated to the newer streamlined ones. I guess theres parts that i truely loved about it. I still install and play for a couple nights here and there.

The idea is that you are discouraged from making all of the upgrades before starting the second mission in the game. Rather, you will probably make them throughout the game, as you need them. The mod is intended for more patient people who want to enjoy the entire game and all it has to offer, not people who want to rush through it as quickly as possible and have a fully upgraded character straight after the tutorial.
Personally Recommend this mod. Has vastly improved the quality of the experience.
Base game is good, too, but if you enjoyed exploring the island more than dealing with the plot missions and want a more challenging and rewarding experience, this mod is for you.

This mod improved a lot and I can say that this is the best mod for Far Cry 3.
Its stupid that he gets rid of the blinking objects, the mini map, makes more enemies spawn , and makes them take damage more accurately BUT he gets rid of the lens glare on the optics??? Every thing else is obviously meant to make the game a more realistic experience yet he thinks that the sun wouldnt put a glare on the gun sights?? something else that NEEDS changing is the gun controls. It needs to be more sensitive. i can shoot people faster and more accurately in Arma. and thats HARD.

This Mod is adding a "Hardcore-Mode" to the game, i love it. It is a real challane with the crafting reciepes.and it is more realistic.

So, in short this mod makes the game more complex and hard that it remove the simplify features of the game and lessen the overwhelming information within the hud and other equipment.

Add Real Proper Weapon Models/ Behavior, Scope Reticles, Carrying Amount and Pack Creating that can just use standard leather and I would be set.

If you are the modder of this mod, let me tell you something. You deserve an award for this great piece of work. Ubisoft should hire you as a HUD and gameplay designer immediately! You know exactly how to create maximum immersion. I hate flashing interactive objects and disruptive HUD elements. This mod should be directly converted to Far Cry 4. I am so happy that people like you - people with expertise and skill - exist and make these mods. You guys are such heroes for us gamers! Thank you a thousand times and please keep up your magnificent work. You are so talented!!!

But, I cannot help myself, so here we go: what was in your head when you made the crafting recipes? I mean, are you serious - 2 crimson leafs, 1 amber leaf, 3 boar hides aaand 2 pig hides for a simple holster?!?
Each time I start a new game, I:
1.get my hands on the bow,
2.unlock the radio towers,
3.collect the items required for crafting,
4.conquer the outposts with rare animals quests
5.craft all the extended versions of equipments
6.start enjoying the game.
Brings a reason to the otehr materials

Excellent addition to the very childlish original FC3.
Now it's more serious and interesting. Worth a play.
I like it as "hardcorest" as possible, but the lack of the hit markers it's completely unacceptable (I hope you agree). As for the ammo count, it's something that is annoying to not have. Anyway, because I do not know how to remove only parts of the HUD, I played it completely HUD-les and I quite enjoyed it.

Only one thing is bad on this mod. There is not combat knife from fight with Hoyt.

Far Cry 3 - Main Theme
It looks like this mod is really good, but the gameplay is too different so i would rather to use Swartz mod cuz its improve the game and didnt change the game a lot

Please please please make a mod for Far Cry 4 aswell because again there is no DAMn option to holster your weapon thus you run around like a morron aiming at everything all the time

I think this mod is good. far cry 3 is fun but waaay too easy to play..etc, enemy tagging, free weapons unlock, map showing items.... i really want a good challenge.

Atleast it was colorful and had a shit ton of animations. But health animations were limited :(
Fc2 was disqusting and it was soo many, AND I LOVE THAT!!! The only problem I have with Fc2 it is kinda boring.
If anyone is playing skyrim or did not start yet, you should download Skyrim Requiem mod overhaul if you like old school challenging rpg games.
Seriously, games nowadays are getting so ridiculous, too much flashiness like Japanese games or just with pathetic difficulty, that i feel like i cannot play one of these games without an overhaul mod anymore.

I didn't like the colors of FC3, to me they looked over-saturated and fake, but that's just opinion. Healing animations were brilliant in FC2, I don't see why they got rid of that. The problem I had with FC2 was also that it was too repetitive and got boring at times, and the stealth system. Some things were improved in FC3, but they also got rid of all the cool stuff that made FC2 unique...
pretty sure you can take auto reload of...most games do that......plus i never have an empty clip....and you could just not use the camera...most of this is just changing values

Not gonna lie, some stuff on this mod are pretty good, but some are just stupid.
Stumbled upon by accident. Just what I was looking for. Makes the game more like Far Cry 2. I hate how you can see enemy through walls and there's a GPS on the lower left. Unrealistic
I guess you have the not so legit version of the game. Just google it, somewhere you can download the FC3.dll and the other one that work with the cracked version of the game (patch 1.05) AND Ziggy's mod.
It was dissappointing for me because I wanted it to be more realistic and immersive than FC2 and instead it was the complete opposite of FC2. It is aimed at a completely different target group. I liked some few elements of FC3, but I hated most of it. I know, almost nobody agrees with me...

Excellent mod bro, Far Cry 3 was such a terribly dissappointing game, too childish and cartoonish, and a big "F*** you" to everyone who actually liked the previous game in the series and appreciates immersion and realism in games... With a mod like this I would have enjoyed it a lot more...

The original Far Cry 3 was for kids, thats for adaults. Without the hud pop ups it's way better. And why so much bloom effect on the weapon sights, now its perfect.
