I'm useing Optive Omega Drops comes in ampules, says contains Linseed oil & other 2 ingredients. Is it a good choice? But will get Omega 3 & 6 capsules.
I'm using Nature's Branch Omega-3 triple strength, 4 caps which gives me about 2920 mg per day. This works out to $24.95 per 6-week period over Amazon. Of course when I looked through the fine print I couldn't find any data concerning the sourcing, but it does say it's 'wild-caught'. However, I get my Omega-3 tested through OmegaQuant Analytics and as of last November my scores were 12% for Omega-3 index, and 2.5:1 for Omega-6:Omega-3. These scores seemed pretty good to me so I think the Nature's Branch may be working. Additionally, my dry-eye condition seems to be improving over recent months. Also my rather high levels of mercury have come way down after giving up tunafish which I used to snack on right out of the can. Thank you for your information and I have subscribed.

I suffered dry eyes for so many years. I took fish oil, flaxseed oil, eat fish, and followed what Dr.suggested eye drops, and to use warm towel over eyes, nothing help. I took 1 tsp of cod liver oil every day for 5 months. My dry eyes is now cured. Amazing eye Dr. never suggested that.
I had severe dry eyes! Was so painful and sore everyday and so sensitive to sunlight. Couldnt keep my eyes open when very tired. Really affected my quality of life. Also was told by opticians and doing research that dry eye is not curable and you can only treat the symptoms with eye drops. Was referred to ophthalmology by my opticians as my eyes were severely dry for them to work with. Was put on strong steroid eye drops. Medications only worked for as long as you used them. Stopped having ophthalmology appointments due to covid. Tried cod liver oil and OMG it is a cure!!! My eyes were 80% dry to start with and after having a checkup recently my eyes are not dry at all. Please try cod liver oil. I know how painful it is to have dry eyes and really wanna share my experience! Thank me later ❤
I have tried taking fish oil a couple of decades ago and could not do it due the horrible after taste if I burped. I have been vegan now for 3+ years and was considering the Nordic Naturals Lemon fish oil. I was willing to try it due to the extensive benefits and while most say the taste is tolerable, I figured I could get past it. I did not know there was a vegetarian/vegan friendly version for PRN either. However, if I have to step off of the vegan trail for an excellent fish oil supplement, I will do it. learned a lot, thank you so much for making this as I do suffer from dry eye that started about 6 months ago (I just turned 60, might be part of aging), in addition to the help with inflammation. Thank you!
Have suffered from deliberating watery eye (blepharitis) for almost 10 years. Been to see 2 eye specialists multiple times who put me on all the conventional treatments several times, including antibiotics. Nothing worked and it was booked in for a DCR operation in a couple of months. On seeing this video I thought I would give a high quality omega 3 a try. 3 months on 2-3 grams of omega 3 did nothing for me. As a last resort I upped the omega 3 dose to 5 grams a day of the best quality oil I could find. After 60 days my watery eye symptoms had almost disappeared. I have been symptom free for 2 months now and am continuing on 5 grams of oil every day. High dose omega 3 has been life changing for me. Thank you for making this video! I take Nordic Natural fish oil and eat sardines every day.
Great video doctor and thank you. Just a follow-up question to the cod liver comments. Is it better to take omega-3 or cod liver or can I take both to see the results? It looks like cod liver seems more miraculous than omega-3, at least from the quotes below. Thinking in advance.
Thanks so much I respect you very much. Have started on your channels and will be trying these products. I wish I could become your patient but I have the wrong zip code
Thanks for the video as it was the most informative I have seen on fish oil or salmon oil. I am looking at starting to take salmon oil since my triglyceride levels came back a little high. Do you think this would help bring them back down? Thanks again
This enlightens me on Omega 3 benefits for dry eye syndrome. Did not know the difference between ALA & EPA + DHA. If only 5% of ALA is converted to EPA & DHA in triglyceride form, what's happening to rest of the ALA. Depending on that we can rate the benefits from flaxseed consumption. Thank you.
This is exactly the information I was looking for. Thanks for such a clear and helpful video, Doc. Also, has anyone else told you your voice is strangely soothing? Feels like a case of accidental ASMR.
I really appreciate your explanation of the hows and whys of products and our bodies’ ways of processing them. Thank you! I take Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega capsules. Dr. Tai, thanks for your excellent presentation. I would like to know: how long have to take it, or better, doe’s help for the senile eyes? How long does it take for relief? And about Cataract disease? Thanks for your help.
I have been taking Thera Tears Eye Nutrition Omega 3 (three soft gels per day for a month so far). I see it is not on your list and you are critical of non-liquid varieties. Only a month of using it, and I am sure is not enough time to determine if it works. Using drops since beginning of the year (currently Refresh Digital) which are definitely helpful. Also been using the Bruder eye mask everyday for a few months. My condition appears to be the mix form of dry eye, mostly my left eye. My eye docs say my glands are a little clogged (more so my left eye). The tear ducts (where tears evacuate) in corner of my eyes a little blocked (particularly left eye). Last year I began noticing blurry vision in my left eye and when patted with kleenex a lot of moisture on the kleenex. Came on pretty suddenly. Prior to that my eyes were ok, but I did notice irritation on and off over recent years and intermittently used regular artificial tears from various companies, Systane usually. I am in my mid sixties, so I guess this is at least partially an age issue.

It didn’t help me but still continue putting eye drops. So I’m not really sure about this omega 3 fish oil. Eating also wild caught salmon about 2-3x a week.
As so often with many natural supplement videos, the suggested therapeutic dosage is what was used in clinical trials and is hugely expensive and unaffordable to many people. These videos never offer inexpensive daily dosages of some supplement because they nearly always are based upon what was used in clinical trials. Sorry, but this kind of video is useless for lots of people who cannot afford to take such high daily doses that cost the earth.

As so often with many natural supplement videos, the suggested therapeutic dosage is what was used in clinical trials and is hugely expensive and unaffordable to many people. Sorry, but this kind of video is useless for lots of people who cannot afford to take such high daily doses that cost the earth.
