My doc was insisting for a year and a half that I take a statin. I asked why? She said that all of her patients my age are on a statin. I replied that age was not a good reason to be on a statin. After a year and a half of this, she "fired" me as a patient for having a "lack of trust".

Just FYI..... The doctors have to meet a number of "benchmarks" with each patient. One is that all patients must be prescribed a statin if their cholesterol is high, or if they're over 40 if I remember correctly. Another is that you MUST be offered your flu shot and other immunizations. If those (and many other ones) are not met, the reimbursement from insurance and/or medicare/medicaid is severely reduced.

Our doctors will prescribe these medications knowing they cause harm. My brother aged 66 was diagnosed with high blood pressure 20+ years ago and was put on Beta blockers. I also suffered high blood pressure at the same time and chose to use natural remedies. I am 2 years younger. My brother was diagnosed with kidney failure last year and also had a tumor removed from his bladder which turned out to be bladder cancer. On his autopsy report it stated Bladder cancer and kidney failure due to long term use of Beta blockers. Don't trust your doctor, once you get any diagnosis seek natural remedies, your life may depend on it.

I changed my medical doctor because he refused to address my health concerns. No advice or prescriptions. I had side effects from the prescriptions I was ordered to take. Was reprimanded for not taking them. Was told to go to urgent care for some serious health problems. The urgent care and emergency care doctors wrote prescriptions for ppi, headaches, pain. Neither those doctors nor the pharmacy gave me any indication that there would be unfortunate side effects, and certainly no warning that long term use would be very serious.
Thank you for this video, to make it more clear and bring awareness!
On the positive side, my family had some old world, folksy advice. The advice is not scientific, and not medical advice. But they worked for me. Drinking herbal tea at the first indication of distress. Herbs like mint, or chamomile, or parsley. Drink after dinner or a spicy meal. Drink around 3 hours before bedtime. Eat cooked beets, like one bite to 1 cup, with a little vinegar and a tiny bit of salt, or a little bit of salad dressing, for heart burn. Advice like that. If you are allergic or it doesn’t work, then try something else. But most people found these folk remedies work. Even for sleep inducing. Imagine that!

@phyllisdoreenhutton Beano is an over the counter chewable tabs that supply digest enzymes. You need more than gastric acid and beneficial bacteria to help you digest food. When you have burps and parts and heartburn it's because you are only partially digesting your food. Loose stool also goes along with this. I do not take any of these drugs but I do take some natural alternatives. For example instead of taking drugs for heartburn I try to prevent heartburn by figuring out what gives me heartburn. Aside from the obvious like alcohol and overeating, I try not to eat late and avoid overly spicy food. Some alternatives for heartburn are systemic enzymes, which will actually help your body digest better, and I use a chewable tablet made from essential oils which works way better than OTC remedies.
As for statins, I believe that long term use of statins caused severe cognitive decline for my Mother. Consider questioning if cholesterol is actually bad for you. Your liver makes it and that is what the body was designed to do. Read up on vitamin k2. It’s a fascinating read.
There is probably a safer natural alternative for all of these problems.

What initially caught my attention of the Statin dangers was a group of Cardiologists who banded together in a video to point-out the risks. The four docs also stated they'd NEVER prescribe Statins for their patients and had never done so. That caught my attention. I'd already cut my Lipitor in half for a year before quitting them. I eat as clean as possible now. Cut white/processed sugars down by 70 percent or more. I do not eat margarine, ever. Olive oil, Avocado oil, and Coconut Oil are the only oils I use now. Lean meats, and no more than 3 ounces at a time. Eggs, seldom but I do eat them sometimes. I am working on my diet to control the fat in my blood. I'm also losing at least 1.5 pounds a week to help with the issues we elderly folk face. Eating cleaner, for sure and I hope I get to that pure place of eating clean someday soon!

I know from personal experience that even antibiotics like strong forms of Penicillin for extended periods, such as used for eliminating staph infections can also cause memory problems and make it difficult to concentrate when talking, even to the point of forgetting common words. Also, use of pain medication like Tylenol with codeine can cause the same issues.

Dementia can also be due to B12 deficiency. It's called B12 deficiency dementia and if caught early enough can be completely reversed. Unfortunately, after 5 years damage is permanent, though some improvement may be possible. The protocol for neurological issues like this is hydroxocobalamin or preferably methycobalamin injectiona daily for a week, then once a week for a month, then monthly.
The book "Could it be B12" is highly recommended.
Apparently, something like 20% of "Alzheimer's" is in fact B12 deficiency dementia and could be reversed if correctly diagnosed.
Other deficiencies that can cause dementia include Thiamine and Niacin.

Tramadol is a synthetic opioid. It also binds to receptors in your brain much like antidepressants do. That’s why is gives you a small sense of dysphoria. And it’s a drug that doctors prescribe before other opioids because they say it’s less addictive. I think that’s based on the fact that they prescribe it in smaller doses (compared with natural opioids). I think it’s a good pain reliever for short term use, like after an accident or post op. But I think it’s a terrible long term use drug. I was on it for chronic back pain for 5 years. I’ve developed a lot of symptoms that might not be attributed to the tramadol. I also have a goiter and I’m waiting to see an endocrinologist. But as I increase the use of tramadol I started experiencing shortness of breath with activity. Even just minor activity like walking. I also felt unsteady and feeling like I’m going to fall. I spent over a year trying with the doctor to figure out what was wrong. Like I said I’m waiting to see an endocrinologist. But meanwhile I also felt like I was having withdrawal symptoms. So I figured I needed to get off all meds and see if my symptoms improved. It took over 3 weeks for the “shivers” to go away. Since then my SOB and dizziness and almost falling backwards several times has improved but not gone away completely. I’m praying that after I have my diseased nodules removed (and I started taking vitamins with iodine) I can get back to normal. I don’t think tramadol was too great for my brain because I also have difficulty with word finding and short term memory issues starting. I agree with you 100%

The participants agreed to remain in study after discharge. Never did hear the actual outcome prior to its release. I took it short term after several surgeries with no apparent issues.

Other sites list the same and state the same reasons not to take. Even if you have no illness or condition listed here, take care with sleep medication taken nightly. I take melatonin as needed. For muscle tightness, simple low dose aspirin-dilates the blood vessels. You have to figure out dosages for yourself. I fiddled with the melatonin dosage on Friday nights to see how I felt in the morning. My first tries had me groggy in the morning. I reduced the dose by biting the pill in half. Even with this, I take care to exhaust myself with hard, manual work two or three times a week to give my brain a rest from all drugs but its own. If only our doctors would tell us all this . . . .

Taking melatonin is risky though, because it can cause your body to stop making enough for you to naturally fall alseep, so be careful. This is actually true of any non-organic vitamins (ie. artificial). Same applies to those vitamin supplements people like to take. You'll get the artificial version, but at the same time, it may mean that your body won't digest enough of the natural vitamin from the foods you eat, so I would take melatonin with caution. In my experience, simply changing my diet made melatonin supplements (and most supplements) unecessary. If you are having a hard time falling alseep, look at your life style and your diet first.

It took many weeks of treatments. The Neurologist said I was indicated for brain surgery to treat it, but some people had good results from acupuncture. Acupuncture worked, so far, it's been over twelve years since the onset. Gabapinten controlled the pain but it is hard to get off it and I did so by slowly cutting the amount I took. A pharmacist told me how to cut it down gradually, and it worked. I feel very lucky to be gabapinten free now. The acupuncture was very effective.

    Example: Statins
    Lipitor
