I kind of understand why collectors buy stuff like this and sit on it without sharing, but all it takes is a house fire, or perhaps a relative discarding 'junk' after the owner dies, for these things to be lost forever. I really enjoyed the video too, very well-paced and suspenseful. It was fun to follow the twists and turns of the journey of that cartridge, and really cool to think that, thanks to your generosity and sense of community, I now own a little piece of it.

Honesty I personally can’t stand collectors who hoard rare items refusing to even share photos of the item, I’m in multiple fandoms that are unfortunately like this. If I got a rare item you best bet I’m going to be sharing photos of it to the public for other collectors and people who are interested to see and analyze
I honestly adore that this game for no good reason whatsoever has such an incredibly dramatic, grandiose theme. It feels as though it was created specifically for the situation wherein this game would become immensely rare, and as time went on, the passwords and IDs would be lost to time, and this game would rest behind a locked password as though it were its tomb.
As soon as I heard it was bought I was expecting the buyer either to be him, or someone he knew, but when he started to build up to it I started doubting it.

It feels as though it was created specifically for the situation wherein this game would become immensely rare, and as time went on, the passwords and IDs would be lost to time, and this game would rest behind a locked password as though it were its tomb.

100% with you, I watch too much youtube and nothing has this video beat for me. This video left such a massive impact on me, I keep going back to it years later. What an incredible story.
This video had everything:
-a relentless main character who's passionate about his work (video games)
-a mcguffin-like object sought-after by thousands of people
- a retired master of the trade that needs to be convinced by the mc
- a rival working towards the same goal
- a sibling that supports the main character's journey
- comrades along the way that made it all possible
And even at the end, even when the mc had been seemingly beaten, he still proves to be the hero, preserving the knowledge he had acquired for others who are just as passionate about video games. Nick Robinson is a true anime protagonist

The beauty of the internet (sometimes) is when people share things in wholesome ways, and you did that.
