I had long undercut and I did the top knot thing for 1 year of growth, but I decided to cut it eventually... now I have short under cut and I’m wondering if I want to grow out my hair for 3-5 years and make it long everywhere, not only on the top. I was wondering, because my hair is super thick and super wavy, and when I go through the awkward stage, it will look ugly. Maybe I can fix that with a hat or something. I grew mine out from the shaved undercut. It was about 8” on top and the Benefit was the front of my hair as able to fit in a bun or hair tie much sooner than had I cut it all off and grew from same short all around. The bad part was I did have to eventually even the hair out to one hanging length. Turns out the sides didn’t grow faster than the top, just seemed like it. But I’m finally at the stage where guys are telling me they wish they had kept their long hair or tell me that they used to have long hair as well for some reason. Also for thick curly hair I’ve just started using almond oil, I just rub it through my hair evenly and then tie it back in a twist while it absorbs and gives it a nice shine without being greasy, I may start adding an essential oil to have a nice smell to it

My sids grow faster than the top but I'm happy about that because the top of my hair it is about 7 inches if you stretch it and the sides are about 1 or two inches long and I could put the top in a man bun but I want the sides to be as long as the top so it's good that the hair on the sides grow faster because I want the sides to ketch up to the top.
If anyone of you feel like cutting your hair and giving up on the long hair, reconsider for a week and maybe you'll continue on the growing out journey. I'm soon on month 3....
Blow dryers do not contribute to puff in the least if you know how to blow dry and brush the hair... Just blowing it with air, is not how you professionally blow dry hair

Hey there. I have a question actually. I am having now after two years long hair, the length is approximately like the length that you have. I part my hair, or it part itself naturally in the middle and this parting goes way back to the back of my head and there forms a spot that is actually a normal parting of the hair but it looks like I have there a bold spot when I am wearing my hair down. So I am usually wearing it tied in the bun or ponytail. How do you solve this problem? As I can see in this video you have taken few of the strands from front and got them way back to the back of your head and covered that spot.

Shampoo your scalp and roots *only* Condition your ends and length *only* Don't put conditioner on your scalp or it will get it oily Don't shampoo your ends and length or it will dry out your hair Oil helps with frizziness but you just have to try it first because it doesn't work on every type

Every day is definitely too much ! Twice a week is enough. If your hair is very oily, perhaps every other day, but not every week.
