I had hair down to my lower back in 2018 but unfortunately cut it myself because I was stupid, I regret it. It's still kind of long in terms of what most people consider "long". To me it's actually "Short/Medium". I'm growing it back out.
Dude, the Sumerians and Akkadians in modern day Iraq, who were both the first civilization and empire in human history (8000-5000 years ago), wore long braided hair and beards as a sign of fashion and royalty. Barbering tools were a thing then aswell, so it wasnt out of laziness to cut it, actually its hard even today for us to style our hair and especially beards like they did.
I'm a barber and I started to grow my hair because I never have time to make a proper haircut, and I want to achive the man bun I think it looks great on men.

Long hair here , since 16 now 65 ,cept.my army days , good info , women love it , and the women that love it , I love them , good distraction time wasted for any unskilled inept opponent in an altercation . No vital organs in the hair , they expending one to two hands for the wasted folly , when seconds matter .plus warm in cold ( almost frose death once when young ) plus with sun cancer at a high is good shield . A good basic informative video ,any knowledge is good

Wow, I'm back in style again!! I started to grow my beard and hair out 3 years ago, and it works for me. I wear it tied back and it's almost to the middle of my back now, beard's doing very well also. I'm 59 now and I love the Viking vibe. After looking like an accountant since my mid 20's, I must admit that there is power with this look!
In recent history, worth mentioning are the rock & metal guys. Doesn't matter if it's classic rock from the 70's and 80's or if it's death metal, long hair has persisted for over 50 years within the rock and metal community with no signs of slowing down

I've had long hair in some form since I was 13. It's been 20 years now and I've only cut my hair off once (5 years ago) and immediately grew it back out.
I started growing my hair out when i was 11 or 12, and had long hair mostly throughout high school. Down to the pecks length. Around junior and senior year i had it cut to shoulder length, and at 20, i got it cut completely short for the first time in almost 10 years. I'm planning on growing it out again, that is if people would stop pestering me about getting it cut. because they prefer my short hair. 😒

I've rocked both long and short hair, but always preferred having it long. Lol I even talked a few friends into growing theirs out. It is more maintenance, but it's not crazy maintenance like most would assume. Unless u have to take out braids cause that's another story 😅.

something interesting about romans was that they early on had long hair but at some point (during the switch from roman republic to roman empire), short hair became more fashioned.

In the 90s, men wore long hair as part of Grunge fashion. Some nu metal kids in the early to mid 2000s also let their hair grow long (even braids or dreads), especially if they were big fans of Slipknot, Dope, Bullet For My Valentine, or Trivium.
