As long as it's healthy and shiny no hair is awkward, especially wavy/curly hair. For straight hair, what they consider awkward is the fact that they're really limited to hairstyles they're not used to, and I feel like that's just being a pussy lol.
@@tubax926 well my hair is kinky, curly and frizzy so it's hard for me to handle, now i use coconut milk on my hair once a week and yeah it helps me lessen the frizz and it's starting to straight, try it if u want

I’m 10 months in and what I do is cut the sides and do a manbun looks good. Now I’m gonna let my hair grow no more cuts since the top is long , so when I let it out it covers the sides and it doesn’t look stupid. Don’t give up guys just keep going
Where I from, almost all the schools prohibits male students to have hair that reaches the collar or passes the eyebrow. I had to wait till I finished high school to start growing my hair. And it was worth it. After 2 years in college I had to cut it as I was starting work attachment & had to renew my passport. Im growing it again now currently around chest length and I try to be more committed in keeping it now.
I'm exactly at that same 9 months mark from growing a standard undercut, and I can say it's true! By that time the awkward stage is not over yet, but it's certainly easy to control with a simple tie :)

Great video, but I gotta say I disagree on the "you can't make long hair look shorter", if you get some grease-based product and a comb and work to slick your hair back as far as possible, you can tuck a portion of your hair under the collar of your shirt and the rest, while possibly looking a little silly, will follow the school's rules
Fun fact what inspired me to grow my hair is on Halloween one year I wore a wig and idk I thought I looked really good so ever since I grow my hair for 2 years cut then repeat but rn I’m at 7 months I’m growing it out for a low taper fade man bun
So what I find in most videos about awkward stage is it usually happen during the 4th until the 8th month of growing. By the time someone reach their 1 year of hair growing, that's when the hair finally reach climax period. Right now I'm in my 5th month period and I'm pretty sure this is my awkward stage. Feeling low today. I got a keratin treatment and my hair is still poofy 3 days after the first wash. I waited the three days, used the shampoo they gave me, dried with micro fibre towel and let air dry. I don’t know if I’m still in the awkward stage and if it’ll ever end

I have dry hair, oil in quantity is a nightmare, Aloe vera gel is a godsend. Add a bit of pomade after (I use homemade shea/coconut/beeswax mix.

Water and oil can’t be Mixed so use oils on dry hair
Use coconut oil in wet hairs ,,no issue ,and hair growth ratio is good
