- At first, the idea of a random perk mode didn't sound very exciting to me... but Chaos Shuffle is actually one of the BEST things that's ever happened in DBD. It has made the game really fun for me and I'll be make several more videos related to it! - For now, enjoy the super rare 3 No Mithers! 😂

The same survivor getting robbed of their window vault TWICE because of Claustrophobia is something I didn't even dream about before this mode

@@twenasukio No, whan they removed the stranger things dlc, cruel limits got its named changed to claustrophobia, and now it´s back. Coulropfobia doesn´t do anything with windows anyway.
We all know shuffle should become permanent. Hopefully the devs realize the same thing. I’m actually enjoying myself a lot again.
Chaos shuffle has breathed an entire new life to the community from what I’ve seen. It’s so great to have to use perks that aren’t meta, on both sides!
It gives me the exact same vibes as why Mystery Heroes is my favourite mode in OW, and was made permanent. It's also the most played mode outside of Quick Play and Comp.

I got No Mither two times in a row while playing Chaos Shuffle, while my archive challenge was to escape.
Thankfully, the Bubba on the second game was very chill and I managed to do it
5:10 a bunch of people in Otz's chat that apparently have never played DBD. It's super common for survivors to camp exit gates instead of gambling for the hatch.
I mean, can you blame them?
I wouldn't play dbd either, seems like a terrible game. Now, watching Otz on the other hand, that is great.

I was expecting the hit combination of no mither and self care, and maybe even the dev recommended sprint burst and lithe

Chaos shuffle was such a great modifier i had more fun playing it then ive had playing DBD in months im so glad were getting more quality of life stuff mixed in with stuff to add more fun to the game everyones always so competitive these changes BHVR have made recently have been incredible huge round of applause to everyone working hard to make the game enjoyable for everyone
the rarest thing in dbd is having team mates who dont kill themselves on first hook and actually touch a gen for once
You can expect to see at least 2400 matches with this exact scenario over the course of the event:
- assuming at least 20k players are playing the modifier (less than half of mean Steam playerbase, fair assumption), so 4000 concurrent matches
- assuming 100 matches per day (~15 min match time)
- 19 days of event
So at least 7.6M chaos shuffle matches, times 0.00031541 yields 2397 matches with this combination.

You've grossly overestimated the amount of games played in the timeframe for multiple reasons. Fluctuations of prime times, length of matches and queue time, etc..
It's much more likely to be a mid to low triple digit number, possibly even a double digit number.
@@Deadgye Could be but 20k didn't account for other platforms, that's why I thought it was a good lower bound. Now, the popularity of the modifier might be less than 50% that's for sure. I just assumed that because of the good reception, but who knows.
Finally, a fair match for a trapper
I really feel Behaviour increased the chance of No Mither in that mode, i literally got at least 1 one no mither every 2/3 matches and i played like 100 matches for now in that mode

yo Otz i actually had something EVEN RARER (i think) happening,
I remember that in one of the tutorials for the game, theres a moment where you get hooked, and you have to try to unhook yourself. The point is to sacrifice yourself on the hook to move on or something. Theres also a luck debuff while trying to unhook yourself, meaning theres and idk amount of percentage which is probably really low. Now I happened to accidentally unhook myself during this tutorial, and it softlocked the tutorial itself, after unhooking i couldnt really do anything. and I had to replay the tutorial and actually get myself killed on hook this time in order to complete the tutorial. I dont have a video of the unhook itself but I have a video of me being softlocked after the unhooking. XD but idk how low the chance is of this happening, but im assuming they gave maximum luck debuff in order to make sure no one actually unhooks themselves.
This is crazy, this happen to me this morning, the funniest part is that the kiler who we were facing got thanatophobia.

This also happened to my swf the other night, and the killer got Thanatophobia too! They seem to have designed it so that if a survivor loads in with a certain perk, the killer has something to counter it. A combo I've also seen a lot is Rummage/Pillager's perks for survivor, and Hoarder's for killer

Every game where it’s over is when I get the Kobe and unhook myself. It’s literally a running gag in my swf group. If the match is already over I am unhooking for sure

Chaos Shuffle made me accidentally be a Toxic Piggy aka gave me ultimate weapon, infectious fright, monitor and abuse, and agitation and someone brought a Midwich offering. 3 game overs (4th got hatch) and I wasn't even paying attention to boxes. I felt legitimately bad XD
I had a game during a stream the other day where me and another random streamer both got no mither LMAO

Definitely one of the best modes where I have tons of fun trying various perk combinations usually not available for me. When the game doesn't provide you with any perk though... That's where the true fun begins
Id like to see a weight perk system. So maybe you could have perk categories based on strength or type maybe both. And then you could assign points to each category at the start of each game and then the chance to get a random perk from that grouping is increased. With this method just can sperate perks that are too strong with each other and also have perks you'd like to see more in multiple groups. You can still get anything from any category but the weighted system means our chances of getting perks from your points are much higher. You can spread them out or out them all on one. The categories would take some time to work out but you could also easily avoid situations like 3 no mither.
Heck, have that for the base mode so we don't get players running 4 meta perks every match

Maybe you don’t work at an emergency call center anymore, but you do as important work now as you did then. Thank you. Your videos helped me a lot. If you can, keep doing what you are doing, you might not know it, but it is important for some.
Dude! I had that in one of my matches as well! A friend and myself were playing and ended up both getting No Mither, and a random as well. It was nuts. The killer felt bad for us lmao.
This has taught me that the same perk can appear multiple times throughout a team in this mode. Good to know.
I have a serious theory: The devs definitely changed the likelihood of each perk based on how often they get used normally. I believe the made it so the least used perks get added more often than the meta perks. But that could just be me not being used to so many unused perks suddenly in trials
it's definitely B haha. i still get feng and meg perks a lot, it's just that there's 42 survivors, 42x4=126 perks + the common ones, and people use like what, 15 perks out of the 126+? haha
You know, for how rare you said it is, I also got a game of three No Mithers: we still lost, but it was close!

Between this, D&D and the 2v8 mode I'm glad that there's more wacky ideas coming to DBD recently, though the base game still has it's issues it feels like there's some real variety happening. Just wish most of the fun stuff wasn't a temporary thing.
The bit about the odds of the map-offering guy disconnecting being 100% is comedy gold.
i actually really have been liking the event. it feels less dominant from the killers side and it forces me into learning how to play better without my crutch perks as a survivor (as im not that good with maybe about 250 hours in the game, 200 on survivor.) it also helps me try out new perks and learn what these perks do :3. just overall find it a fun experience
This channel has a higher chance of actually being Otz than this ever happening again.
I really want them to keep this game mode because I’ve had games where combos aren’t really out there until you realize them. Like I was using surveillance and the unforeseen as wraith and it worked out so much better than you think because people hear the bell, but not the terror radius making the surprise attack very good

He obviously was their DM and made Otz and everyone roll the dice and they got a D1 at first, since he felt bad he let them roll a pity D20 to get out of the hook so they wouldn't all get TPK'd
I really hope the devs consider keeping chaos shuffle as a permament gamemode. Its such a breath fresh of air not going against the same predictable meta and builds every match

Gotta say, I am in love with you posting the probability math, it's awesome! (and correct) Although putting it sooner in the video would have saved me around 10-15 minutes of time, since at first glance the numbers seemed a bit off, so like any other normal person, I had to check it myself XD

My first ever Chaos game i got No Mither , then a few games later the other 3 survivors i played with all had No Mither , i was thinking this was going to be a nightmare modifier but havent seen anything like that since until this video.
I hope that this mode will continue to stay as a permanent feature of DBD.
One of the best things of Chaos Shuffle is that it should be an infinite flow of data for devs in terms of how perks are performing with/against other perks and killers. And considering how they are so set on data analysis, maybe we will see some weak perk changes in the future?

I had swf with 4 full meta survivor builds when I had no perks at all for some reason on this gamemode. LEGIT coincidence.
I actually had a game where 2 of my friends both got No Mither. Counting my stars that we didn’t get three at least though haha
The only worse thing that could happen is the killer playing as an oni and rolling someting like thanatophobia
I play only this mod since it's started. Now DBD gives me as much fun as many years ago. I'm happy that BHVR gave us more time to have fun with it.

Also worth noting, I haven't seen some perks at all the whole time the event has been active, and I seem to get some combos fairly frequently. So I think they must be pushing out certain combos to test things. So the probability is probably higher to get certain perks.

You know... Chaos shuffle also fixed the "pay to gain advantage" aspect of the game. If all perks are avaliable and they're random, everyone will get to use them.
I SOMEHOW ended up in a match where ALL the survivors had kindred. And the funniest part is that happened to me TWICE.

The fact that people who use map offerings almost always DC when things don’t go their way is hilarious. It’s tradition at this point to anticipate the DC 😂
I've rolled no perks 4 times on this gamemode and once managed to get no mither and 3 healing relasted perks.
They should make this so those things don't happen and that you can't get bloodrush with no exhaustion perk, but it's dbd and worse is the norm.
*TLDR: I got Mettle of Man value with No Mither in three matches*
I had No Mither and Mettle of Man given to me in 3 out of around 40-45 matches (I stopped counting by that point), and whenever I see Mettle of Man, I make it my goal to get value out of it no matter the cost.
I also got Dead Hard & Wicked in the first match, OTR & a useless perk (self care) in the second match, and MFT & Autodidact in the third.
I got value out of Mettle in all three matches and was content with whatever happened to me later on in the matches.
Except against the shack basement stairs camping Huntress in the first match…
I wanted to make her suffer for humping my friend’s rotting corpse on the ground after killing him with a mori.
Truthfully, I didn’t really care that the Huntress did that and I started snickering when I saw her do that to his corpse. I just used it as a little motivation to avenge my friend. Plus, my friend said that if I avenge him, and get our other two teammates out of the match alive, he’d give me $100.
I put my tryhard pants on, and dodged the hatchets, had the Felix take the hit for me so I could unhook the Feng. After which, he proceeded to run away and heal with self care or a medkit (I didn’t check anyone else’s perks at endgame).
Then I ran head first into the Huntress (with Feng following closely behind me), got smacked, hooked, smacked again, and nodded at.
After which, the Huntress went back upstairs to resume camping. I waited until the last second to unhook myself while the other two did the gens just so the Huntress would waste time camping and not get pressure against the gen repairs.
I unhooked myself, sprinted upstairs, took my BT hit, vaulted shack window, and proceeded to run her around shack for the remaining 2 generators, stunned her with shack, blinded her, got distance and ran to a TL loop which was next to a better loop that had a pallet with two more relatively close by. All the while, I had been slowly mending the deep wound status effect so I could inevitably use my DH. I used the pallet at the loop next to the TL, waited for her to finish breaking the pallet, ran to the hay bale pallet, ran around it 10 times, used DH, took the endurance hit, and ran around it another 10 times before getting hit and taking another hit with Mettle of Man, running around it another 10 times (lol), stunning her with the pallet and blinding her, before then running towards main and stumbling upon the two healthy people near the open exit gate who then proceeded to take one hit each for me and we all escaped.
Easily the funnest time I’ve ever had while earning $100.
She wasn’t expecting back to back endurance after being ran for over 8 minutes, ran around the same hay bale pallet 30 times, stunned and blinded at multiple pallets, and having three survivors escape all thanks to my friend who decided to bribe me and all by someone with No Mither, DH, and the highly coveted Mettle of Man which was only able to be activated thanks to the Huntress deciding to do orbital strikes early on in the match, hitting my friend once, and downing me twice while I was near him once I noticed my perks (he revived me so I could get hit again while he was injured, and she stopped landing any orbital strikes after that), and her insistence on camping shack which allowed me to get my 3rd stack.
She said GGs to me for rolling her and said that I made her very confused for 15 seconds when took another hit with Mettle of Man’s endurance effect until remembering the two downs earlier in the match that didn’t result in hooks thanks to my homie Chris reviving me.
The other two matches weren’t nearly as eventful or memorable.
I polayed three chaos shuffle games in total as kiler, and in the first two I got leverage in both of them as a perk.
Its always the person who brings the map offering that gives up
I really want Chaos mode to be thought of as a more "casual mode" where a little more "just have a laugh" turns up
The other day I played a game of Chaos Shuffle with the goated build of No Mither, Lucky Break, Blood Rush & For The People (I got my first escape in 10+ games)
i had a cenobite last night that had all three of his own perks +hangmans trick i was like this man is doing adept pinhead in random mode
I love this mode even if as a newbie in both sides it does absolutely nothing for me but i do get to see different pictures on my screen so thats fun xD
Statistically improbable things happen every game.. I could play one game and string together some random events that are “one in a million”.

The rarest thing possible in dbd is to have a match that everybody likes. I tried a streak with legion using only Common addons and EVERY 2 MATCHES someone disconnected at the start… Even though I NEVER tunnel or camp unless someone abuses some bugs or perk combos like boil over+breakout

Had two, but not three in one match. I also had No Mither twice in a single gaming session of like 12 games and both times I also got Adrenaline to go with it.....
I think that certin perks (like no mither) have a higher chance to be selected because ive seen it ALOT in this mode
i honestly really hope they keep it in some way as a permanent mode, it brought me back to the game after atleast a 1 year break, and ive never had more fun in the game, its not just 4 people who atleast have 2 perks in common, its always different, its a really refreshing way to play the game and i love it
One time on a archive with random perks I literally got to play with my build I used on my killer.
That had a chance of 1 in 6913340 or 0.00001446478837% if I did the math correctly.
0.00031541% chance is *almost* the starting digits of pi haha
Me and a friend we're playing the Chaos modifier and we both got No Mither.
It was an Oni.
Some other guy did the invocation too, so we got absolutely dunked on. Oni was chill though and let us live.

I don't play DBD because of oh so many reasons, but I'm surprised this isn't a permanent thing? And that it wasn't added sooner?
@@therealdoc I'd guess that it's not permanent because it would dilute the player base from the main game, leading to extremely long load times. Temporary game modes are far better for the game's health imo, much as I love the look of Chaos Shuffle.
@@finnjay6149 i see your point, i would wonder the same thing. but i also think it actually encourages people to play the game more, period, since you can pick any survivor/killer you own, regardless of it doesn't even have level 15 unlocked for 4 perks even lol. i have several killers at prestige 1, but survivors? i only had claudette, and it made it so i would just progresively stick more and more with just killers. but now that i got to play with several of them disregarding bloodpoints invested, i got a taste of what i want to unlock, it really helped

Plaything gives Retribution, Pentimento gives more retribution, and pursuer gives more retribution, the only hard part is to defend retribution
God Otz, I kid you not, right after I started your vid in the lobby, I was loaded on a match and soon after there I was, with No Mither with 2 other survs having it, shit never felt so coincidental (also, 1 of em who did not have it dc'd as soon as the match started LMAO)

Funny thing that as I've played quite a few games in this mode there seems to be some perks that goes around more than others and my guess is that it ain't so random as it seems.

And here was me thinking my luck was terrible when I got no mither, healing boon, the basement heal perk and built to last when my item was a med kit
I have never ran No Mither, so when I got it during the randomiser, I couldn't understand for awhile why I lost chase so easily..What's even crazier is that it was the one perk I (eventually) knew how to make it work while the rests are perks so obscured it didn't add value to the game. But i like it overall. Just make it permanent BHVR.

I've had something even rarer happen to me; I had a chaos shuffle match in which I had no perks, NONE
Shuffle is the first time in a long time where the game just doesn't get boring. After 2h of Survivor I normally get bored, switch to killer for 3 games and then log off. In shuffle it's just so whacky I love it.
Of course, the typical salty people still exist. Yesterday a killer declared his undying hate of me because another SoloQ mate brought the game offering and I dared saying "igochu sis" to the claire player (I played Chris, I got a pallet save on her). Peak dbd egc :)
But shuffle is over all more fun than normal mode.
Time to hit the casino, Otz!
