I love how, no matter how different CS2 feels and looks compared to cs1, there is such a huge Imperatur vibe in the whole build, as if nothing changed ❤
Seeing all the things we can do on day 1 is absolutely amazing. Even though the game might not be optimized well or includes features like bike infrastructure, It can only get better from here, whether that's when CO adds them or modders do I'm excited to see what the future holds in store.
I think, for aesthetic purposes it's better to remove pedestrian crossings when they are very close to each other, like at 21:35, to keep only one of them (as I remember, game now allows to do that)
The roads in this game are amazing but more touchy then I expected. I didn’t realize how much I depended on move it for fine tweaks! I was instinctively going for my preset button! So much to learn from watching these vids!
I've been playing CS2 pretty much non stop since release and I have been blown away. Its almost everything I've ever wanted in a city builder (a cross between CS1 and Transport Fever 2).. The only issues I have with it are performance (of course) and the fact that they released so few ploppable assets compared to vanilla CS1 (clearly to save their value for DLCs). Minor things though ultimately because the game itself is a masterpiece. Once we get the CS2 equivalent for Moveit, Anarchy, Network multitool, and Improved public transportation we'll be really set.
What's annoying for me is that I don't have fps lag but I have lag spikes that sometimes crash the game, I'm assuming I'm going to have to spend hours in the settings finding the cause
CS2 is great if you can get passed the performance issues. I got passed most of them by changing the graphics to medium and making the CPU focus on framerate, so the only issue is the occasional freeze, which lasts like 5 seconds. the only big problem I'm still having is the zip file glitch thing, which sometimes you can just dismiss, and other times you have to restart the game
I played it for a while now. It misses some basic stuff. the city does not feel really alive like CS1 did. Basicly, parks feel empty, the lack of animated people in parks, playgrounds and dogparks (i havent seen any people inj those tbh), or animated emergency services (stretchers for ambulance, policemen, firefighters) is dissapointing. The road system is just 1 word. AMAZING. the management is amazing as well. You can deffinetly see the Cities in Motions aspect of the game. And thats what the game feels like. A cities in motions game where you build the map yourself. It needs some work to make it feel like a cities skylines game. But if the devs listen like they say they do. I am sure it will be fine. I have a 30k city population and the game so far (with a few little hickups) runs pretty smooth with med to high settings. However when you zoom in to ground level the game hicks a little more. But it is deff playable. and i really enjoy it already but id does need alot of work
You can use some auto mouse cliker for placing trees. I use GS auto clicker. You can set hotkey to start fast mouse clicking and drag the mouse. It helps while we haven't prop line tool
Had to buy a Ryzen 9 and 4090 to get the damn thing to run (I’d been contemplating a major upgrade for a while and I finally pulled the trigger) and man is it a crazy crazy beautiful simulation. I JUST WISH IT HAD PROCEDURAL ZONING!!!
Im using the same map, yet you've done so much more to make the roads wayyy more interesting than what i was able to put out. My suburban areas look ok, and I dug a canal cutting through the main island with European housing. Still havent dome much with the castle other than put a telecom tower up top with switchback roads. Im kinda bored of current maps already and can't figure out what i can do to make them more interesting. Archipelago island is the most appealing map of all of them, yet the most challenging.
What an amazing build so far, I’m loving it, but I’m still yet to see someone not build a tram loop anywhere 😅 The loops for me take too much space and don’t look so good, remember that the game now allows reversible trams, but apart from that everything else is pure perfection 👌🏼
30:20 Mouse: "Just let me die" xD i bet that whit this layout of roads you will have nice traffic jam however looks really great. Im impress how you use landscape mine doesnt work so fine :(
liking the Game so far (my fps is currently 17 on medium and various settings disabled on steam Deck) but still playable. although it dose crash after 1hr so hopefully they will improve this. as many have had same issue on other pcs
Mine is too (CPU at least (Ryzen 5 3550), GPU is GTX 1650 which is a bit above I believe, plus 16 gb ram) and it runs decently, even on high graphics. Definitely missing some features from cs:1 (bike infrastructure, parks (the non-ploppable kind) and how much bigger most utilities are compared to cs1), but it is a new experience and viewed as that it is an amazing game, which will only get better. The road building tools are an absolute godsent, everything I hated about cs1 roads has been addressed
Wow! This is incredible! Could you do a tutorial on how you get perfect curves or how you line things so well? I am new to the game but I struggle getting things like make shift roundabouts to look perfectly oval or round and getting the off ramps in a perfect curve.
Tested it out yesterday. Building quay is a nightmare. Leveling roads is very poor if not terraform first. Zoning grid is always broken. This game is perfectly imperfect. Waiting for mods.
the building is massive ! but i think there is a problem with the expressway network at 11:10 , in the first interchange that you made, cars are going in the highway before other cars leaving it, and i think it can make traffic issues...
If you having stuttering issues with a high end graphics card try to lower the power of it in msi afterburner or else, it will put less stress on your cpu and make the game run smoother without losing fps
My biggest issue is the zoning tool. I would at least like to know with an indicator what road the cells are facing. To bad, they improved so many aspects, but zoning looks like a downgrade to me.
Big thanks to u@@imperatur, wish u to get 300 000 subs!))) So i have one more Q. Have you managed to achieve a positive income on the balance sheet of the city? (I have problems with my english now, and used google translate to say that, sry if it sounds wrong)
Love everything you make! Question though; I notice that through the entire build the city is always losing money (even a loan), is there a point where it goes bankrupt or do cities in cs2 eventually start making money? Haven't been able to do so myself
Hi I got around 15 k pop to be green the income. Btw play with tax, service fees and build loads of special industry for prudoction. I had a net positive income from special industries but on income don't show up I just got more and more money without actually been in positive on income tab. I hope this help.

Remember, it doesn't matter how well it's optimized or how amazing it looks if the game is not fun
City Planner Plays: Respect the topography
imperatur: Topography is my servant
Bro im actually overwhelmed at how good this is, i started building my new city in cs2 then watched this video and i have now been humbled, lol.
My city looks like crap compare to anything I see online. I'm very bad at detailing..
yh i feel you.
@@matthieulambinet9522
The amount of greatness you can build is insane
Key Walls, vineyard style detailing and the classic grid, yup still imperatur!
I’m a gamer who likes the game, cities skylines. Imperatur is an artist who likes the canvas, cities skylines.
I think, for aesthetic purposes it's better to remove pedestrian crossings when they are very close to each other, like at 21:35, to keep only one of them (as I remember, game now allows to do that)
Non contest master of Cities Skyline Licence.
You were the master of CS ...now you are the master of CS 2. It's really nice to see how you builds cities, greetings from PL :)
The roads in this game are amazing but more touchy then I expected. I didn’t realize how much I depended on move it for fine tweaks! I was instinctively going for my preset button! So much to learn from watching these vids!
WOW! Just wow! You are talented! You can melt lead on my laptop after about an hours play from the heat, you must have an absolute beast!
I‘m rn still on minimun specs bro
You're the Best! 🙌🏼

Cs2 is an amazing game!! But it has lots of performance issues which they should fix😢Btw im loving this vid❤❤

I have played it for some hours now and I love the game. But the game feels unfinshed. I hope they launch some good updates soon
@@1DontNoclip for me in general is just very laaggy idk what happened cause yesterday it was so smooth
@@spurs_2052 i agree cause the game lags a lot and there are also no props...
You have to change the graphics settings in advanced 😬
respect for patient bushwork! love your cities.
yeah, really waitin tools for it
Took about half an hour😂

May I ask which setting allows the game to focus on CPU regarding the framerate?
@@Asderkink I forget exactly what it’s called but it’s in the general tab. Shouldn’t be hard to find, but the default setting is “balanced”
I can't believe I have to wait until spring to play this game. Your City looks so effortlessly beautiful!😥🥰
Great and inspiring work, as always! Would love to see a terrain tool video, as i am really struggling with that!
Overcharged egg did one 😋
The vineyards around the castle are very similar to Cochem, Germany.
I also like the new music selection!
All that work to individually place the vineyards and they disappear when you zoom out 😭
Lmao true
Love how good Imperator makes his cities! Wish I had that skill.
man this game is hell for someone with OCD
I get mad and delete my save if something bugs me too much 😭😂 at least there's back up saves 👍
I've been really liking CS2! Even though it doesn't perform well, I still get 25-30 fps, which is not bad. Your videos are always amazing!
Thanks:)
Woah nice to see someone else building in this map!
incredible, CS2 vanilla road building is practically the same as CS1 with the mods, only the "move" is missing.
Move it is definitely missing..
All else aside, the road and terraforming tools in C:S2 are really amazing! So smooth... great combo wuth Imperatur's skills! 😊
I played it for a while now. It misses some basic stuff. the city does not feel really alive like CS1 did. tell me to git gud in CSL2 without saying it
Imperatur: hold my beer
but for real, you're doing awesome builds as always, keep it up!
You can use some auto mouse cliker for placing trees. I use GS auto clicker. You can set hotkey to start fast mouse clicking and drag the mouse. It helps while we haven't prop line tool
I do the same thing! Life saver on the hand 👌
With videos like that I feel like I don't need Cites Skylines 1 anymore 😂
Unfassbar was hier in Vanilla schon möglich ist. Echt vielversprechend, bin gespannt was du da noch rausholen kannst.
That's a goreus city youve made! looks more natural than the others on youtube
25:45 those cars doing U turns on that expressway could lead to backup when developed in the future. Might want a divider or something
Im ok with tree aging, just wish it was an adjustable slider, to set my own scale of growth.

I'm loving the game so far. I was afraid my 3060 couldn't run the game well but the performance seems fine on medium settings
Song in game - fantastic ! thanks for good music
its amazing that you are able to run it.
Prop-line tool? Even better: a vine network! Next level dedication there fella. I wonder if you can stack rail and road on a bridge...
You can, I’ve seen it in other videos
Then I'll give it a try when I unlock a suitable tile I reckon... thanks @@adept5500
I'm enjoying cs:2 so far. I thought I wouldn't able to run it, but it's going pretty smooth.
I am here, once again, jaw dropped on what you come up with. Gotta rename my first CS2 city "crappy town" in comparison 😅
😂
29:05 so the road allows both a left turn to eventually make a right or a right off-ramp to make a right

but tree and bridge trembling

There doesn’t appear to be any props or even fencing. I get that’s what DLCs are for, but some would be good and you’d think fences were a basic item.

I think that are the normal design flaws of a cloverleaf interchange
Very nice !! Is it possible to share the save game before it's finish? I'm interested to see it closely on my PC...
can you please do a tutorial on terrain editing? I don't mean the tools but the method you use to level the terrain when you are building, please :))
Just incredible. 😧

Runs well apart from when I go to build anything the screen goes orange😢
Still GOAT of CS2
Very interested to see what the game will be like when it releases on console
I think at the end you left the highway bridges as 4 lane roads instead of 4 lane one-way highways.
My biggest issue is the zoning tool. I would at least like to know with an indicator what road the cells are facing.
To bad, they improved so many aspects, but zoning looks like a downgrade to me.
Hey, @imperatur, i rly love yr videos. Can u tell, how to swap direction of the one-way road?

They should add keys and retaining walls. Also sound barrier would be nice
They already added sound barriers, I don't know about keys though.
Quays* :) but Imperatur has a pretty good hack with the retaining walls under roads, I think.T
